Staff were excellent, we were two injured travellers and the staff were excellent in giving us a room near to the restaurant and swimming pool with as few movements as possible! Bed was comfy, bathroom clean, air on worked well, balcony was nice. Massage was very good, restaurant wasn't overpriced, nice swimming pool. Good shuttle into and out of town. Enjoyed out stay and would definitely stay again.

Pool could have done with having flys fished out and top tiles cleaned (green algae on them). Bar by pool didn't have ice or anything to make cocktails/ fruit shakes only bottled drinks. Breakfast buffet could have had a few more Thai dishes rather than just western options. Can be quite a few steps if you get a room up slight hill (not a problem for a mobile person)

I made two seperate reservations: one night in the best room and three in the normal room. In the end we were allowed to stay all four nights in the best room. I'd call this a good three star hotel. I was lucky enough to have one of the lower-lying rooms. The steps up the hill seems to go on endlessly, and there are no elevators. Well-stocked minibar. Staff is friendly. You can even use the swimming pool at night time. Chaweng's beach is beautiful and has some charming restaurants.

Hotel bar and restaurant are quite expensive. I guess they need to make up for the cheap rooms. Apart from the airport transfer (250 baht per person), don't use the hotel's transfer service since it's too expensive. Rather use the taxi pirates. The main road alongside (but far enough away from) the beach is super touristy.

Pay extra for wifi. Pool bar guy attitude.

We stayed here just as a stop over before our ferry trip. - Pool was quite nice and there was plenty of seating - Rooms were basic but clean and spacious - Balcony - Buffet breakfast

- Smoking was permitted around the pool and in the restaurant - Staff were unable to organise a taxi for us

Everything! Great place, lovely pool, nice big rooms and nice bathrooms. 100 percent recommend it. Would stay again.

It's slightly far out. But having said that its a 15 minute walk to the busy part and the hotel runs a free half hourly shuttle to and from u til midnight. Annoying of your out past then but for what you get at the hotel for the price you pay you can live with it! Also the food at the hotel wast great but it does the job and the breakfast is actually really good! Better than expected. Free wifi would have been good!

- Great garden. There was even a waterfall - Spacious room - Personnel was helpful - Breakfast was nice - You can rent a motorbike just across the hotel for 200 bahts/day

- you have to pay for the wireless and two people cannot use the wireless at the same time. One have to log out - little bit far away but there is a free service every half hour and renting scooters is almost free

Bungalow nice and spacious, clean and good air con. Swimming pool average but good inclusion for the price. Nice well maintained gardens. All in all good value for money and not too lively.

Awoken by cleaners at 8am daily! Bungalows are built into the hillside with lots of steps to climb, which isn't an issue but don't expect staff to offer you help with your luggage! Didn't eat in the restaurant so no comment, but pool bar overpriced.

The Pool area was great this is what gives it a 3* rating I am sure. The Free tuk tuk to and from the town every half an hour is brilliant and saves you loads of money. The Staff are really friendly and happy to do anything to help. A massage is available by the pool area plus free towels to use at the pool area. The hotels Location was good as you were away from the main town which was noisy. Breakfast was adequate with an egg station were any egg dishes were being cooked for you. They had worked very hard and put on a New Year Eve party including food for all the guests but forgot to tell/invite anyone which was a shame as no one was there, just us partying on our own which was pretty embarrassing. As we did not want to leave due to the effort they had put in.

The Rooms needed to be refurbished they were old and out of date and almost felt unclean. The terrace furniture was wooden and could not be sat on needed to be upgraded. There was not enough storage available in the rooms so we had to live out of cases. Wifi was chargeable. The hotel area was surrounded with loads of steps many to rooms that were located higher up, which would be a problem getting suitcases up or even walking up daily. The Hotel lacked life which was quite sad given the effort level they put in. The mattress' on the beds were shocking and very hard. I think the maid service was just to make the bed nothing more.

A very suitable facility for those looking to spend less and not needing to be on the beach. Very nice pool and surrounding area complete with massage and pool bar. A decent company of other guests as well, I wish I had stayed longer.

Nothing to say here, maybe the dining opportunities could have been presented better...didn't eat there once.

location is good, walking distence to chewang beach.

little old infrastructure. pool was good in size but was not clean. though i would recommend this hotel because of good quite location, away from loudness of chewang beach. one should book room close to pool else it would not be convinient to climb stairs.

The staff were fantastic so kind and friendly. The breakfast was resonable. The half hour taxi into the centre of town was good especially in the heat although it was only a 10-15 minute walk. The pool was excellent and far better than alot of the more expensive hotels

The room although clean and tidy looked tired and could do with an update.

Cheap value. Ok location.

Unhelpful reception. Couldn't supply travel adaptor. Bed wad hard as a rock. Shower was poor.

Overpriced for what was on offer.

The hotel was nice and the pool was very good. Rooms were big and spacious and clean. Mini bus to take you in to the centre every half hour till midnight.

The room was located at the top of the hill so u need to be quite fit. The food wasnt great and they seem to make up the prices as they go along. This happened many times when we ordered food and when they did laundry service they completely overcharged us. Plus there was no free wi fi and when u did get a ticket it takes u many attempts to login!

This was my 7th stay at Nova Samui and the welcome and friendliness of the staff is the same as ever. They are excellent. The location is very convenient for the beach, shopping and nightlife without being on top of everything. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Koh Samui.

Nice lanscape design... calm.. peacful.. clean... helpful staff... well equipped room facilities... nice veiw and good to stay in the balcony...

Great hotel. Great pool and rooms were very good. Lots of steps to get to but not an issue for us. Staff were nice and helpful in suggesting places to eat. 5 mins walk or free taxi to main centre and beach. Across road from ice bar!

The frogs at night are pretty loud! There are a lot of steps if this might be an issue

I like everything about the nova this is the 6th time my wife and I have stayed here. We are always looked after and nothing is to much trouble for any of the staff they call us mamma and pappa and it feels like were family. Thank you everyone we will be back soon love davy and mary xx

Nova Samui is a peaceful hotel by the lake and has nice view of the lake. Helpful staff, quite big swimming pool, regular timely shuttle runs in every 30 min. to Chaweng beach (you can also walk there in 20 min.).There are local restaurants, supermarkets,pharmacy nearby. Me and my friend had a wonderful vacation and would highly recommend this hotel.

Everything - it was a gorgeous hotel. Our room was amazing with a lovely balcony overlooking the gardens and pool. The bathroom was lovely, the aircon fabulous. The pool is great and room service excellent. There is a half hourly free shuttle to the main street (which is only really 10mins walk away). The hotel staff were really really helpful and very approachable. Would definately recommend and stay there again!

No bad point about this hotel. Loved everything!

It would have been great to have a breakfast inclusive deal. Also the in house internet should be free or a wireless connection should be free for all guests. This is offered by some of the competition
