The WIFI did not work properly! There was also that faint scent that comes with older hotels.
The staff were very helpful in finding us the best tours and arranging transportation. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was mediocre.
Uncomfortable bed, constant mechanical noise at night making hard to sleep. Structure of the building resonate all noises (people, chair, etc...)
Friendly staff, next to supermarket, pool was ok.
Room was not ready at the time we said we would be arriving. This was no problem as we had a vehicle and places to go.
The room was spacious and comfortable. We were upgraded to a deluxe room on 5th floor. The staff at check in were very friendly and helpful.
Good breakfast .... Clean ...looked lovely from outside ...cosy and best value for money.
Breakfast and view from window
Within easy walking distance to the centre of ChiangMai
- I only have one big complaint. There where several big travelling groups in the hotel, mostly Chinese, but also a Dutch group. These groups depart for their excursions very early in the morning. People go for breakfast at 06.00 am. They make a lot of noise when leaving the rooms and come back from breakfast. It meant for us that we woke also up at 6.00 am. So keep this in mind when booking this hotel.
- staff is very friendly - big room - After complaining about the mattress and a dirty smell in the room we got a new better room
No entertainment, not a lot going on evenings at hotel
The price was ridiculous expensive (12395THB for 3 nights), given the poor services and facilities. the location of the hotel was out of the city. The facilities in the room was old-fashioned. There were a lot of ants in the bathroom. The sound proof of the room was awful, the hotel held parties on the second floor every day till mid-night, we could hear the loud music and beats in our room, which made us unable to sleep. What made it worse was the baby crying on the same floor we stayed at night. On the last night of our stay, there was a serious quarrel between a couple happened on our floor, we could hear all the curses they lushed out and the noises, such as slamming the door, they made. Definitely a terrible experience, would not recommend anyone to stay.
almost nothing except there was a supermarket next to the hotel
The lift area is very smelly.should have more air refresher and lots of mosquitoes outside the entrance area.
Staff uniform should change to office type and front counter more nicer decoration.
Pool was freezing
Beautiful rooms, quick walk to great food at the gate.great shopping at the markets up the road and cheaper than the night markets
Accessibility and convenience are not good.
I stayed in this hotel 5 times, but I never see it like this not cleane , such as towels bed sheets .
Wall is moldy and dirty.
Tv is too old and too small. Small parking area. Coffee in the room is not too good.
Plenty of non smoking rooms.
The beds are very large but unfortunately, the mattress' are very hard, uncomfortable and past their use by date. We could feel the springs. We never bothered to complain about it as the group of friends we met there had the same problem.
Breakfast was great Staff friendly and helpful, however most had limited English speaking. The location isn't great, however they provide a free shuttle into the markets and there is a supermarket right there.
The pamphlet on 'sex with children', made me worried about the previous guests at the hotel The bath mat inside the bath was very dirty The bedside light switches were a bit dated and the radio didn't work The view from the hotel was very ugly There was a cockroach in my room The location wasn't great and it was difficult to even get to a 7/11
The massive bed and the comfort of it The staff, the outside entrance and the lobby The tea, coffee, water and the shuttle service to the airport
The 'facilities' and beds were very good, but the 'ambiance' of the room was let down by the somewhat 'basic' appearance of the seats and tables which, though functional, looked 'cheap' for a hotel of this standard (although this didn't actually detract from the enjoyment of our stay).
Away from the general 'hustle and 'bustle' of Chiang Mai so room was quiet at night. The free 'shuttle bus' to/from the Night Market (the mini-bus only seats 10 so needs to be 'booked' at Reception as early as possible as once it is full that's it - they don't put on an 'extra' bus for more guests. Extremely good value for money.
Very noisy. Specially caused by the staff while cleaning.
