Finishing of the hotel was exquisite, private, natural and good service.

Breakfast was slightly disappointing. Not much variety but that would be ok if the items on offer were good. But they simply weren't up to par with the rest of the hotel.

    Room Location Ambience Staff Facilities

Evening meal was a bit bland compared to most Thai food

From the moment you enter the hotel you feel a good and relaxing vibe. Beautiful lush green grounds, beautiful designed rooms.

Truly an amazing experience. The staff, the service, the comfort in the room, the cleanliness. We absolutely loved our stay and will come back for sure.

good location, helpful staff, lovely bedtime story every night, and beautiful hotel.

1 breakfast doesn't match 5 star level; 2 There are two wifi in the hotel. "Wifi guest" dosen't work well, need to ask the receptionist to get password of the "wifibypass".

Beautiful property & rooms. The pool was great and so were all the details in the room--from a terrace and outdoor shower to bedtime stories left on my pillow every night.

The staff were nice, when you could find them--no one was on hand by the pool most days, for example. Food was not good, so we left the hotel to eat for most meals. Such a shame because the property itself is so lovely. I'd also skip the spa and try a massage or facial elsewhere in town.

The whole experience was incredible from the warm and attentive staff, the incredibly spacious rooms and the outdoor shower and verandah and the beautiful old Thai And not to forget the pool. Loved every minute - so relaxing and tranquil - felt special

Not much that I could complain about except maybe the Wifi dropping in and out.

What a beautiful place to stay! It is much more like a spa retreat then a hotel! The grounds are lovely and very quiet. The staff is very attentive and willing to help arrange tours and recommend off site restaurants. The pool is very different and very enjoyable. The breakfast was very good as well. Can't say enough about the lovely room. We especially loved the outdoor shower that was part of our room! Definitely stay here if you have the chance!

The place was stunning. Absolutely. I liked the peace and the great service. The staff at reception, in particular Toto, were excellent. The food was also divine, and the afternoon tea a real treat. I liked that it was a little way from the city centre, which allowed it to feel special, remote and secluded. I also loved that there was a lot of interesting stuff right on the doorstep of the hotel in the way of shopping, eateries etc. And that these (together with two other 'tours') had been documented on the website - as I read them in advance. Given that Chiang-Mai is not too large, it was still central enough to feel well-connected. Altogether, 137 Pillars is a magical place to visit and in our case, was a high note on which to end our holiday in Thailand.

Too many mosquitos and too little being done to avoid them, particualrly in the rooms. I also had Wifi connection problems in the restaurant, and in my room at times.

The Thai friendliness is unique, all members of the staff were eager to please us in any form and shape. When leaving the hotel we had the impression that some of the staff were close to tears to see us leave. We loved the place it's paradise on earth.

Not much that the hotel couldn't do, the only drawback were the mosquitoes, which can be a nuisance anywhere in the world.

I could write 100 pages. Amazing hotel just go there.

that my bed at home is not as comfortable as in the pillars house.

Very nice hotel, and all the details are paid attention to. Wonderful experience.

Too many noisy kids running around and screaming, spoiling the whole nice atmosphere. Many high-end hotels don't accept kids below 12 or 16, 137 Pillars should seriously consider about this.

Great location, unique, has character, attention to detail, charming, complimentary mini bar (for beer and soft drinks), nice and friendly staff, great breakfast buffet, heritage feel, classy, aesthetically beautiful, personal touches felt and seen everywhere... Exemplary in every sense of the word. We had the pleasure of staying at 137 pillars house for our honeymoon and would not stay anywhere else next time we visit Chiang Mai. Its not necessarily the cheapest place but I would say that it is worth the stay if you can afford it or if your looking to treat yourself to a nice stay. We didn't try the spa so no comment on that.

There is really not much one can critisize about 137 Pillars House. It was Perfect.
