Rooms are good and nicely appointed. Good pool, restaurant and the staff are friendly. The location is good, in a leafy, quiet area near the embassies. But good restaurants are nearby and the better shopping areas are either a 15 min walk or the sky train is close. Would have liked a king sized bed

Very clean and furnished to high standard. Excellent service from staff. As we were travelling with young child, the Playdeck could do with some attention as was a little unkept and no activities/ toys for toddlers. The pool was very cold so a heated pool would be better and there are no spa facilities.

It is a smaller boutique style hotel with a modern Siam meets Hollywood regency decor. The rooms have large beautiful bathrooms and small but well designed kitchens. The kitchen had a mini fridge, microwave, stove top & coffee maker as well as a fully stocked minibar. The rooms also have a dining table with nice linens and bone china place settings. We never cooked but we did order room service which was great and it was nice to have a formal place to sit and eat. The hotel is centrally located in the city which is nice if you want to visit different parts if the city. The concierge was great. Planned everything for us including all our dinner reservations, spa treatments, tour guide and even a ladyboy show. Nice gym. Great pool and bar area. Felt like an oasis in the bustle of Bangkok. Hotel was great but if you only are in Bangkok to see the old town area it would be better to stay in that area. Traffic is terrible & there is very limited metro service. During the day it can take a taxi an hour to get from the river to the hotel. Traffic isn't nearly as bad in the early morning and later at night but if you want to go back to your hotel in the afternoon just prepare for a long ride. Good part is taxis are cheap and all of ours had air conditioning so we just used the time to watch the city & relax. If you have dinner reservation before 9pm leave early.

The amenities provided in our suite - from tea bags to laundry detergent! All very well thought. The limitation of max. 4 users per room for the complimentary wifi. Most travelers have at least 2 electronic devices and we have 4 persons in our suite.

This is an amazing hotel for the price. It is so modern and clean, with elegant appointments. The staff were so helpful, even when we arrived in Bangkok so early in the morning. We had a one bedroom apartment on the 20th floor overlooking the city.

great room, nice personnel, good food. The location is ok, 300 m from the sky train. I would definitely choose this hotel again. Overall, a great experience! the paper you receive telling you about dress code when you check in. When outside temp is 40, everybody wears floppy, so it is quit challenging to follow another dress code :(

The fantastic 2 bedroom suite and the View for the 19. Floor It is a little posh, and you receive a paper telling you about dress code when you check in. With 2 small kids running and around you dont really frem at ease in the public areas of the hotel.

Very helpful staff, beautiful room with huge walk in shower. Cafe Claire has a relaxing ambience and great food. Bit of a walk to the bts skytrain in the heat and taxi drivers find it difficult to locate the Oriental Residence, confusing it with the Oriental Hotel.

The hotel was very well designed- from the reception to the room. Very impressive clean design. The room was excellent- with flowers and the little kitchenette. The closet and bathroom layout was nice. The location isn't the hotels strong suit, however, it is in a nice area with American and Dutch embassy on either side. Everything accessible by taxi within 5-10 minutes. Overall, a good experience! Very luxurious :) The staff was attentive, but could be better versed in English. However- there was no aircon in the elevator and corridors leading to the room which was very stifling at times. We ordered room service for breakfast and it was okay- nothing exceptional. Also there was some confusion regarding the order, but I believe that could have been due to the English.

The staff was great. Speaks very good English. Not just the fromt desk does, also the waitress and the doorman. Room was great. Food was great. Everything there was awesome. Is one of the best hotel I ever stay in. It's even better than some very famous 5-stars hotel. The location was ok. The distance to the BTS station was ok. But the safty was awesome. It's between the British and the US ambesse. And when ever we leave the room. The maid will come in make up the room. Like 3 times a day. And not just made the bed, even clean up the trash even it's not half full, and change the towel alos. Just like we change into a new room. LOVE IT. WILL DEFINTILY VISIT AGAIN.

Great modern design. Staff was very polite and helpful, in fact one of the best we came across in Thailand. We stayed in Jr. Suite and it was amazing. I think there must have been a great thought process gone into designing and equipping room with all the amenities it had. It was just a one night stay and we thought we would have stayed longer. But surely next time........
