2 minutes walking distance to Hertz car rent, location perfect for auto travelers, good swimming pool, friendly staff, good breakfast
Furniture a bit old and smelly
The availability of channels is irregular Last year i mentioned it to the front desk and the staff said it has bean a problem for years Time to fix the problem!
- metro and bus 5-10 minutes away by foot (free shuttle to the metro station) - bed super comfortable - "apartment" was huge (90 sqm I think)
1) TVs are old and the signal of bad quality (many channels have visual noise; one showed only black&white with no sound) 2) annoying Xmas music and decoration everywhere 3) the pool is on the shade most of the day; the water is cold 4) orange juice during breakfast was not made of orange (some fake orange-flavoured drink) 5) the bathtub has a silly design flaw that makes the water being channeled to the floor when having a shower
Some of the long term staff at Pantip are excellent, taking great pride in their work. The restaurant produces good food at a fair price. The rooms are certainly spacious. Speedy response when we had problems e.g hot water not working.
The room in which we were placed was very tired, run down and shabby in places. Bathroom in particular needs a complete facelift. The entrance to the room was very poor, chipped paint, rough wood etc.
huge room good price
too far away from the downtown
Beds, pool, garden, staff, location
Pool terrace not sunny
we booked for non-smoking room but the was very bad smell we couldnt breathe at all ; so we just check out right away ;(((( not recomend to anyone to stay there.
Kitchen, space in the apartment, the view of the city.
Bed, carpets, and the Doom TV, Towels are old.
The staff is courteous and very helpful. The unit is spacious and offers very goof view of Bangkok. The stairs in front of the elevators are great for anyone to see and use if there is fire. The elevators are adequate and prompt without waiting too long. Overall we like Pantip very much.
Nothing in particular.
The approach, the facade and the view from my 20th floor.Comfortable bed and friendly staff.
Rooms do not live upto its 4 star claim. They seriously need facelift. Rooms are too large to be well furnished and maintained. Was disappointed to have chosen this facility.
Value and location
Ive stayed at this place about 20 times now I love the size of apartments, the views and the lovely staff, and the breakfasts are superb . Im glad 2 see they finally have flat screen tvs in rooms now !! Also nice 2 see they have promos on different food nights Esp loved the international BBQ on Friday nights and the Thai buffet on sunday nites They seem 2 have had a little revamp since my last stay which makes it even more special The apartments are huge 96sqm and for the price you will not get better or bigger in Bangkok LOve this place Thank you all for another wonderful relaxing stay
There is nothing 2 complain about
nothing worth mentioning...
It is always very pleasant to stay at Pantip as the rooms are so spacious and comfy.
It's an old hotel and it's starting to show in the tiling in the bathroom.
We've found a good deal at booking.com. Rooms are spacious, clean, good beds, quite environment
It's not that new anymore and it shows, it's about 20 - 30 minutus walk tot Silom, where you can find food, markets and all other kind of thinks. Not much entertainment in the area
Good location, reasonable breakfast.
The suites really are incredibly spacious, with a big comfortable bed and bathroom. The kitchen is small but adequate, and the balcony is large with great views of the city. The pool is nice, though the hours aren't ideal. Staff is very friendly and helpful as well.
As noted in other reviews, the suites could definitely use a makeover. The furniture is outdated and new carpeting is necessary. However, for the price, everything was more than comfortable enough. Absolutely worth it for the value and comfort!
location quiet hotel relaxing
breakfast needs attention ,even if it means cutting down on assortment some of the buffet items look "tired"
Pool, garden, space, price and location
Living room furnishing a little sparse and poor cable tv choice
Big room with good view.
Everythings in the room are old. Breakfast is poor.
Exceptional, helpful, friendly staff; suites are a great value for Bangkok; lovely gardens and lobby for lounging.
Facilities need maintenance, i.e., carpeting in rooms need replacement, and pool needs some structure repair
I am always welcomed home by the staff.Location is great close by BTS.The bed is great big bed where you an hook up easely by four persons and it sleeps so comfortable. The apartment is specius but could have a make over.
The restaurant should be upgraded, the rooms are out dated there is dirty carpet in most of the rooms.
Size of room, kitchen facility, big bed, great wifi, great views, separate living room
Bathroom and kitchen could do with redecorating.
Location, location, location. Away from all the noise and bustle that is Bangkok. Located in the embassy area. Huge apartments, beds the size of a tennis court. Cleopatra sized bathroom. Decor from the 1980's dictates the price / night. The staff never stop smiling, especially Jack in the dining room. Great pool area. US$3 will get you to the night-life in a taxi.
