I loved the personal attention Soon and his wife gave each guest. Food was awesome and because there is not much around area, pushed you to socialize and enjoy the open bar, restaurant they provide. Loved the freshwater pool and the nature surrounding you.
Not a dislike but it is expensive to leave and get down to krabi unless you combine a ride with others.
The place is in nice surroundings, but not too hard to reach. Staff is very friendly and the owner and his wife are very friendly and helpful. Nice natural pool and on the premises and swimming and walking possibilities in the area. Peaceful
Room was not cleaned while there are many bugs, insects and other animals. Food was ok (not great), but some portions (salads) small.
The property and its views were magnificent .the family that operates the resort are great hosts and the food very tasty. If you are looking to make a connection with natural Thailand, this is the place
nice family and good view
Son, Choop and family are amazing, getting to know everyone by name and creating the kind of relaxing atmosphere where the guests feel completely free to chat with each other. Very helpful with arranging excursions and transport too. Beautiful setting, isolated from everything. This is definitely a benefit, but plan ahead. The resort is nicely laid out too with lovely landscaped gardens Bungalows are basic but adequate. Yes there are bugs but this is in the middle of the jungle, and it adds charm brushing teeth with a gecko visiting :) Guided hike was great fun though on the challenging side. Pool overlooking mountain was a highlight! Highly recommended and I can't wait to go back.
Wifi only in public areas Lights in room quite dim - difficult to read etc. after sunset Be aware that it is quite a steep walk from the public area/ restaurant to the top bungalows
Our stay at the resort was beyond expectation. The staff was more than friendly, warm welcoming as family. The location is a little paradise in the mountains. The resort is clean and maintained very well, the food is amazing. We have stayed in lot of resorts all around Thailand, but this would be the number one place we recommend if you decide to come to Krabi and want to be away from the crowed.
Everything perfect. Hosts, food, house, nature. A perl
The family are amazing, look after you so well!
Natural environment. Able to see the beautiful sky with a lot of star at the night and breath in the very fresh air in the morning. For those who want to relax, this resort is really a suitable place.
The location of the resort very far from Aonang. Besides, no drinking water supply for family room and you have to pay. The flow of water of the shower heater too slow.
Nice, relaxed atmosphere. Very beautiful garden. Great staff.
There are birds in cages.
Owners of the place are just amazing, they immediately take you as part of the family. Being in the middle of a jungle, this is the perfect place to relax if you don't mind that there is no 7/11's around. And the food was perhaps the best we've eaten in Thailand.
Everything. A jungle paradise. A hidden gem. Staff treats you as a family. Great to escape from the city.
Cant say anything bad about them.
super nice family running the place, making the place feel like a home. Tastefully decorated and well maintained gardens with a pool almost like a small paradise. The view from the balcony was superb, the whole feeling to stay there was sensational. Perfect place to relax and forget work and city noise.
Bathroom and bedrooms not so comfy but it was not a big minus - added to the wilderness feel of the place. When we took a walk deeper into the forest of the resort area, there was a lot of litter scattered across the ground everywhere. This should be better maintained.
The place is great for relaxing and doing nothing.
The mosquitoes are everywhere and really far off the beaten track.
It is really an exciting experience for us. We like the mountain view in front of our bedroom. The setting of the building is very natural. We even have half of a wall made from original stone in our children's room. Pool is very different. The host is extra extreme friendly. Overall is fun for our family.
Disappointed with the google map. It didn't show the resort. So, I have to ask people around near the Tiger Cave Temple. In fact, one should just follow the road straight in passing TCT on the left. The road will lead you to White Signboards along the way which say "Phenom Bencha Mountain Resort". Just follow the signs. Muddy road coming into the resort made us worried but helpful host put in a lot of effort to make it easier to come in.
very familiar atmosphere
Tsaff and owner were verry friendly and helpfull. They make you feel like part of there family. The cabins are beautiful situated along the slopes of the mountain with excelent view. The food cooked in there kitchen is good and priceworth. For me it is worth a 9 on a scale of 10
The resort is isolated and far from everything. Was no problem for us. For people who want a quite invirement for a few days this is the perfect place.
The friendly family atmosphere from Son and Joop and their adult children. The gorgeous little cottage like bungalows. If you stay there with children there is a little road side stall just 100m from the front gate selling drinks and snacks (beer :). Walking through the jungle was pretty cool and the tiny fish in the river stream nibble your feet! My husband liked the remoteness, I wasn't too fussed about that. We took a private car organised by Son for day tours.
You need to hike up to your bungalow, it was hard to let the children play as it was quite steep. I'm not fussed about the luke warm water, giant ghekos or insects. If you are a bit precious you might not like it.
Wonderful staff. This place is great for people who want to be a bit out of the way, somewhere out of town. Kids could run around in the grounds (just watch them around the waterways). Menu suitable for the whole family. Would definitely go again.
Be sure to pack the mosquito repellant. There are some fair comments from others about the algae in the pool. We did our swimming on our day tour of the nearby springs instead.
Fantastic beautiful scenery, family who run it were so lovely and food was very good.
Too many insects, huts are very open at the roof and floors allowing all sorts to get in! Even in the restaurant we were constantly dive bombed by insects! Beds very hard, and not much to do unless you like trekking!
- great if you want to jungle trek, snake or bird watch. - excellent quality food, some of the best we've had in Thailand and easily the best in Krabi region. - super friendly staff - very cheap accommodation
- the pool was covered in a layer of algae and we couldn't swim for 2 days while it was drained and cleaned. - not as good as we hoped for young children. Pool small & full of boulders, steep terrain prevents outdoor play. - lots of wild animals (its in the jungle!), get ready for birds and lizards in you room. - very isolated location
The setting was beautiful
Scorpion in bathroom
Nice pool Friendly family Nature Good quality of food
We liked the beautiful setting and the staff were especially friendly and helpful.
We didn't sleep well for fear of what crawl into the huts. It was just a little to close to nature for our liking. The location is beauitful but half an hour away from Krabi which means many taxi rides which quickly add up. We're still glad we had the experience - we'll be talking about it for a while!
Most beautiful mountain location - a tropical paradise.
