The connecting rooms are superb for family
The staff at the restaurant is not Asian-friendly
The attention to detail and decor in this hotel and pool area is amazing. The rooms are well appointed and cleverly designed. The colonial architecture is beautiful and the good for dinner and breakfast is excellent.
The battle with the Mosquitos in the outdoor and indoor bar area. More needs to be done the repellents provided don't do the job. Not enough lighting in the bedroom
The staff was great; the breakfasts were terrific; the minibar was free
The room was a bit more expensive than I would have expected in Chiang Mai
Different from almost anything in town. Wonderful staff. Good restaurant and bistro.
Location is not central
The friendly, dedicated staff The beautiful, quiet pool courtyard The charming view from our balcony The easy walk to restaurants and markets The library with free computers The comfortable bed
Convenient location to active downtown. Elegant facilities & attentive staff.
Rooms, courtyard, service, breakfast buffet
That I had to leave
Very far from the sightseeing.it is not convenient to visit some places.
When I booked I already noted that I need add other bed, when we check in they told us that workers got off, they couldn't help us to add an extra bed. When we check out they asked us to charge more than booking.com for the extra bed. That is an horrible experience
A very pretty house with detailed design. Bright and natural, use white as the background and a some green in between. The breakfast is nice and delicate.
Not so many things to do in the hotel. SPA is quite pricy. If you wanna stay in and just relax, might go for a swim or just lay on the bed and take a nap. It takes awhile to walk to the market, it will be nice if the hotel can provide a free transportation.
Food variety No kid pool Pool water too cold Spa staff are not professional enough, their attitude needs training Outside a bit noisy
Great breakfast Comfy beds Friendly, well trained staff Beautiful architecture
Located directly on busy street so ask for a quite room
This boutique hotel was small and friendly with a great staff and facilities. It is central to the attractions in Chiang Mai and is located in a very relaxing setting.
Everything was meticulously coordinated for our stay. The setting is a beautiful and tasteful nod to Chiang Mai's heritage. Food and drink was lovely, and the small restaurant an intimate setting for a romantic meal.
Our room didn't have a balcony unfortunately - if you can get a room with a balcony and view over the internal courtyard we would recommend that.
quality of service is typically very high in Thailand but this one exceeds by far the standards. Swimming pool and rooms are very nice. Very small hotel and Thailand original style.
We stayed here for 1 night as our treat on our holiday and it was well worth it. The room was beautiful, as was the whole hotel, it had a really peaceful vibe to it. The food at the restaurant was delicious and very reasonably priced, no more expensive than restaurants in the old city. Make sure you try their cocktails!
All quite pretty, nice rooms, good breakfast.
On a busy road which you hear from the bedrooms. Bedroom layout a bit odd as you walk into the bathroom before the bedroom. Staff pleasant but desperately ignorant about the city of Chiangmai Mai. Also, when they book you a taxi, they call on a friend who charges twice the going rate!
the beautiful architecture makes it a worthy visit
not much facilities but I understand that it is a small hotel
nice architecture, beautiful building.
Terrible room layout, you have to walk thru the bathroom to get to your room! The hotel seemed overpriced for what it was.
Wonderful experience Incredible service
comfortable room delicious breakfast
no gym room
the pool and breakfast
i booked a room with double bed, got twins. i booked a room with balcony, no balcony. staff unhelpful, i heard several guest also complain about room booked. its just a big bed and breakfast, much much better value and quality in the town then this hotel, its just not worth it.
Very nice boutique hotel in a relatively quiet location, yet close enough to the old town
building style, jacuzzi, location and staff-friendly.
price is a bit high.
Amazing place, amazing service, amazing stay and great staff. Even if a new building, it really seems to go back in time and live a dream of a colonial age. The motto is "back to elegance", and they mean it... Chiang mai is worth a visit even just for a night at Ping Nakara.
Leaving was a shame!
Beautiful hotel, very friendly staff, we had 1 dinner there and 1 dinner at the Mandarin oriental. Unfortunately the restaurant at the Ping Nakara was empty( made it a romantic evening), it should be full always as it is excellent, far better than at the other hotel, and actually our best meal in the whole area of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai.
