Everything was meticulously coordinated for our stay. The setting is a beautiful and tasteful nod to Chiang Mai's heritage. Food and drink was lovely, and the small restaurant an intimate setting for a romantic meal.

Our room didn't have a balcony unfortunately - if you can get a room with a balcony and view over the internal courtyard we would recommend that.

quality of service is typically very high in Thailand but this one exceeds by far the standards. Swimming pool and rooms are very nice. Very small hotel and Thailand original style.

We stayed here for 1 night as our treat on our holiday and it was well worth it. The room was beautiful, as was the whole hotel, it had a really peaceful vibe to it. The food at the restaurant was delicious and very reasonably priced, no more expensive than restaurants in the old city. Make sure you try their cocktails!

All quite pretty, nice rooms, good breakfast.

On a busy road which you hear from the bedrooms. Bedroom layout a bit odd as you walk into the bathroom before the bedroom. Staff pleasant but desperately ignorant about the city of Chiangmai Mai. Also, when they book you a taxi, they call on a friend who charges twice the going rate!

    nice architecture, beautiful building.

Terrible room layout, you have to walk thru the bathroom to get to your room! The hotel seemed overpriced for what it was.

    the pool and breakfast

i booked a room with double bed, got twins. i booked a room with balcony, no balcony. staff unhelpful, i heard several guest also complain about room booked. its just a big bed and breakfast, much much better value and quality in the town then this hotel, its just not worth it.

Very nice boutique hotel in a relatively quiet location, yet close enough to the old town

Amazing place, amazing service, amazing stay and great staff. Even if a new building, it really seems to go back in time and live a dream of a colonial age. The motto is "back to elegance", and they mean it... Chiang mai is worth a visit even just for a night at Ping Nakara.

    Leaving was a shame!

Beautiful hotel, very friendly staff, we had 1 dinner there and 1 dinner at the Mandarin oriental. Unfortunately the restaurant at the Ping Nakara was empty( made it a romantic evening), it should be full always as it is excellent, far better than at the other hotel, and actually our best meal in the whole area of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai.

Attractive colonial style with unique rooms in a quiet area of the city. Very peaceful ambiance.

Poor catering facilities breakfast only and quite bland. The rooms have obviously been converted from colonial style; but means one enters the room through the bathroom bath on one side shower and lavatory on the other. The security of the room seemed rather minimal and the door could be very easily forced. The blinds were inadequate and were in no way blackout, i'm sure a problem in summer. It is some walk to the centre a moderate walk to reach any shops

Ping Nakara is absolutely amazing. It's simply beautifual, cozy, and staff all very friendly and helpful. The french restaurant on back of the hotel also the hotel spa are also excellent. Good choice, it has all I expect for a good hotel.

Great warm welcome from all the team at Ping Nakara. Peaceful, very relaxing, an excellent breakfast. Well appointed rooms, very knowledgeable team who are always willing to assist. Nakara Jardin, an excellent new addition beside the hotel with excellent patisserie is well worth a visit

Ping Nakara is just obsulutely beautiful. I wish I could stayed longer at Ping. The boutique hotel only has 20 + rooms so it's very quiet. For breakfast, you can order from a menu and they cook it fresh for you. They offer standard western breakfasts such as french toasts, pancakes and some Asian food like noodles. The food is delicately presented and up to a western standard.

My friend and I are happy with everything in this hotel.
