Staff very friendlyand helpful particularly as we found the mattress far too hard. Every. Effort was made to help. Breakfast was good and there is a restaurant with a show next door.
The mattress on the bed too hard but my husband and I do have back problems. If you want to be nearer the town this is not very close but suited us.
glad I know now how bad the hotel is.....
Loud music beside the hotel every night and they don't even inform you or say sorry when I complained; I can hear the room right next to mine very clearly; they turned a double room into a twin room by moving the beds together; expensive; not worth the money at all
Good bed Nice and quiet environment
Jacuzzi did not work - disappointing to see for a 4star hotel that the jacuzzi is not properly maintained
Perfect resort. Rooms were very, very comfortable, spacious and included everything you require. The pool is amazing (even if it is cold)
Restaurant in resort is pricey and the location of resort to the centre of town isn't the greatest. They do provide a shuttle bus into town, however fills up very fast and was unavailable to us for two days in a row.
The main reception looks great and staff were friendly. The spa facilities were very nice and the hotel it's self is pretty. Breakfast was also good. Hotel is clean.
The rooms were a little dated and could do with a makeover. The large pool is very pretty but the trees cover it so much that we were unable to catch any sun. Not a place to stay if you want to sunbath! The location is also far from the city but were caught local taxis in and out of town which was good. Do not book one via the hotel as they charge 500bht! Go to the local big C shopping center and catch one from there! There is a lovely dance show in the building next to the hotel which is well worth going to. We didn't find any good returns near by but got a taxi to the riverside resterant in the town (worth a trip!) there are also other great resterants along the same road as the riverside.
Nice pictures on the web but in reality different. We were put in rooms with not the view as per picture. Ecpensive and no vue for money. Also very irritating house cleaning. We constant had to ask..were is the shampoo or were are the clean towels etc. Complaints to management but the expatriate manager didn't care much
The hotel so call could provide free transportation to the town. Actually it is for shopping only, luggage is not allowed, which should be specified at the very beginning. Super inconvenience as the hotel is far away from the town.
At first the lobby looked old Thai style and attractive. But it turned out to be an old villas complex and hotels which are not well kept or renovated over the years. If managed properly could be a nice Thai retreat.
The 3 villas complex we stayed for 5 people was dark, need lights on all the time, beds are saggy, linens not clean, bath rooms and toilets are built for sauna, small no ventilations. Spa was below average despite top dollars we paid. Complaints we had to do daily as the keys are not working. Staff didn't speak English, unprofessional. Manager not on duty. The last straw was we were accused of taking one face towel, which was maybe cost a dollar. We wrote to the Manager no reply. You should rerate this hotel !
The facilities were lovely. The gardens and pool were very relaxing and tthe spa facilities were great. The breakfasts gave a good choice and staff were lovely.
The traditional lanna layout was lovely. We enjoyed the wonderful breakfast spread and thought the restaurant service staff were excellent. The gym had relatively new equipment which was nice.
The problem of mosquitoes in the room on most nights we were there. We were also not able to get on the free transport to the city - there were very limited places. The hotel should have made arrangements for more passenger vans to be made available.
Jacucci, pool access and many storage spaces
The water was a bit smelly
We stayed in Chiang Mai for two days. This hotel is amazing. Beautiful hall, very nice staff and the room with direct door to the swimming pool was a must. The room is big, clean with a very big bathroom. The breakfast has a lot of variety and in the last day we had a flight at 06AM and they provided us a breakfast for us to get into the airport. In the hall it has a place that organize trips (we booked one to Chiang Rai) that is very helpful. On the left side of the hotel, has a big restaurant that organizes all days a special event/dinner in the night, with a traditional presentation that we recommend to go. One of the most amazing hotels that we stayed until now.
Staff were amazing, the friendliest out of all the hotels we stayed in in Thailand. Could not do enough for us. Grounds are absolutely beautiful. The hotel is boutique, traditional and contemporary all in one. Definitely recommend!
The pool access room and the staff
The beds-very hard mattress. The distance from resort centre but that was down to my research but if you want to be in chiang Mai this is not hotel for you
Room Wonderful Pool Friendly helpful staff Easy travel to old city
The pool, very nice, our accommodation was good
The hardest bed Iv ever had to sleep in. It felt like a solid wood panel with two inch foam on The kitchen and breakfast was a disgrace. Just terrible , Iv travelled a lot in retirement, and this is by far the worst experience
Gorgeous lagoon pool. Breakfast buffet excellent selection.
Shower was awesome but needed cleaning. Dirty grout between tiles.
Our room with direct pool access
The bed was a bit too hard
the resort is extremely pretty and pay attention to details. the stuff are nice and helpful, location near BIG C, 5-10 minutes walk from big C, but a little far away from the city center.
the location is 5-10 minutes walk from big C, but a little far away from the city center. take taxi will cost 150 bhat.
The room was beautiful, the bed was really comfortable, the staff were really helpful and polite. It was quiet, calming, clean and just a beautiful place. There is a 7/11 and a big supermarket both within 5 minute walk so easy to stock up on snacks and water..
Only minor downside is there are no other restaurants/bars close by so you have to get a taxi into town. However there is always a taxi there almost straight away plus the free shuttle, so it's not really a problem.
the environment is perfect, and teh staffs are perfect, though the room near the street is a little noisy
the shuttle bus to town is hard to book, and we have to take hotel's own "taxi" to get in town, get to airport and anywhere, whose price is much farer than fair.
The rooms were so clean and had so many facilities I was honestly surprised and the staff were so friendly and happy to help
The wifi didn't work in the room for a couple days and it was about a 20 minute drive from town, but easy enough to get a taxi/Tuk-Tuk
It was really enjoyable. The room was great. The SPA was a great pleasure. The restaurant is very good, the breakfast is awesome.
The staff were very friendly, but the star of the show was the Hotel itself. I'm not too sure who the designer was - but I'm sure he's quite content with the way it turned out. There's something very magical about the entire resort from the moment you see the entrance, to the journey to your rooms. The layout of the area is too much to take in all at once, every day we found a new nook or cranny that took our breath away, from the spa, to the little bridges across the rivers - nothing here was unplanned. I wish we could have stayed for weeks. It's a little far outside any areas, but a quick Taxi or the free Shuttle Bus to the night market quickly solves this issue.
I asked for a Double Room in my booking, and we were given 2 twin beds pushed together - I would have expected more. Not the most pleasant experience with a partner as the divide kept being uncomfortable. Breakfast was extraordinarily expensive. We had some very simple food, and ended up spending over 1000 Baht (Over 20 Euro). We were then abruptly questioned by a junior member of staff if we had paid - right after paying! Rather embarrassing.
