The staff were very helpful. I also liked the saltwater swimming pool. Breakfasts were very nice too. The lovely staff deserve to have their place of work updated. Money needs spending on deep cleaning, redecoration and general modernisation. My room (224) with its concrete outer wall was sweltering even with the ancient aircon unit on full blast. I also didn't appreciate having to move rooms because water was leaking in from the flat roof above. The Prince is a mishmash of styles, strengths and weaknesses. You certainly couldn't mistake it for a corporate chain hotel!

It isn't right in the 'touristy' part of town but close enough to get everywhere easily, walking distance. The info for treks into the area were available but nobody was pushing to promote/ sell anything. Overall it's a nice quiet hotel. Some aspects of cleanliness could be improved upon: handles, switches, remote for TV, faucets were quite dirty; and those are things everybody has to touch!

The location is the only positive thing about it; it is only 10 minutes from the Night Market. The room was not very clean; the sheets on the bed had stains on it and also the towels had had their best time. We could not get towels if we wanted to lay beside the pool because they didn`t have enough...Breakfast was very simple and the staff wasn`t very friendly when we asked for clean cuttlery..I would not recommend this place to anyone,. We payed only 2 euros a night more in the Furama hotel, which is further away from the Night Market but it absolutely gorgeous and a tuk tuk is very cheap so that hotel is much better than this one (and it has large rooms and clean towels and sheets)

This is a reasonably priced hotel, which is a little tired in appearance, whilst the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The swimming pool is very small but working and you are not too far from the centre of town. The rooms need updating.

Well, the hotel was pretty ok or average. They were making up the rooms every day. The hotel is situated just 10 min walk from the Night Bazaar. I It was too old. I mean there was even the smell of old furniture or smth. Tha aircon was too noisy, uncomfortably noisy. At the very moment of my arrival at hotel after quite exhausting road te girl on the reception started immedietly telling me about some trekking and other sightseeing tours which was very not in time. But you gotta be polite, you know. They were not telling in the description of the hotel that the rooms are non-smoking. Well for the people who do not smke thats ok, but not for those who do. The hotel is situated not so close to old city and its kind of a tuff to walk 30 min under the +30 c to the main places of sightseeing.

“The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I appreciated the quiet atmosphere yet being close to the centre of the city for easy accessibility. It was a lovely setting and the staff takes pride in keeping the grounds looking beautiful (garden). I also appreciated the decor. It was beautifully decorated for the age of the hotel. Charming.” Mary, Edmonton |
