Railay Great View Resort And Spa

LIte långt att gå till stranden (phanang ocvh railay beach). Mkt mygg.

Mycket fint hotell med både egen pool och privat strand. Frukostbuffén var mycket bra, super god frukost med andra ord. det fanns även roomservice som uppskattades mycket. Rummen var stora och fräscha.

Det var ganska långt att gå från hotellet till "centrum". På kvällstid var det även mycket mörkt att gå denna väg, det fanns dock ficklampor som man fick låna som fanns i varje rum.

Gorgeous rooms, quiet (complaints about the boat are silly). nice pool, good temperature. Very nice housekeeping girl.

Called down for ice, had to call back 40 minutes later to re-enquire. Never received the ice. No alcohol on site which is disapointing when looking forward to a honeymoon bottle of wine. Chicken cordon bleu was made with processed chicken slices, not a real chicken breast. Restaurant staff not very attentive.

The rooms are beautifully laid out bungalows with lovely views, the infinity pool is large.

The resort is very attractive to look at. The room was really good with a private balcony with amazing jungle and sea views as it was so high up. The infinity pool looked beautiful too overlooking the sea. We had monkeys running in the trees above the room it was great to see them so close.

A bit of a walk to the bars - but not too bad. LOTS of steps around the resort. Passing boat noise a bit annoying.

Very long distange for beach, but they have free boat. Not for person with problem moving.

when we checked in, the bathroom is not clean enough and there were a lot of ants in the room. The Location is far away from Railay west beach specially if you need to carry all your luggage. So better to check the hotel location and map before any decision.

Railay Great View is fantastic value and the rooms are clean, spacious and luxuriously appointed. The balcony is great with a clever built in sofa which fits a daybed mattress which can be brought out from the room. Great sea views and yet private due to the trees in front. It was great to be away from Railay itself which is a bit rundown but worth visiting for food (recommend Local Food restaurant half way between East and West Railay) and a massage (Last Bar Massage was great, good value and super close to RGV). The breakfast is quite varied with a good selection of International and Thai style dishes, plus lots of fresh fruit. There was a small problem with the balcony door when I arrived but I called reception and it was fixed within 5 minutes! Highly recommend staying here.

The staff speaks very little english, very bad cleaning of the rooms and facilities like the pool. Breakfast was also poor. Don,t stay at this hotel/bungalows If you can find something else !

This is a beautiful resort with a wonderful view of the water and mountains. It is built on a hill, so it's not a good place to stay if you have trouble walking up hills, as they are pretty steep.

It is a bit far from the nice beaches on the west side of the peninsula. Requires a walk or a long-tail boat ride to get there. This was not a problem for us, but we like walking.

This is an excellent place to stay and has great little bungalows and a superb view and location. The staff is good however I feel they try hard to please but sometimes don't totally meet western standards of hospitality. The resort is Muslim owned and consequently does not serve liquor at their restaurant. This should be in the literature because it is a little bit of a walk to the rest of East Railay to get a cocktail. The location is plus as far as privacy and being not crowded. If you are an older couple the distance could be a problem as well as the uphill location of lots of the bungalows. Overall this is an excellent place to stay.

We really appreciated this very nice settings with good view on the sea, very nice bungalows, great bathroom and balcony. We liked to be outside the Railay town, far from noises!! We liked to little walk, the path is well lightened and you can see some animals, monkeys, birds, lezard... nice swimming pool!

For those who don't like to walk, you need 10-15 min to get to the bars, and little shops, and about 20 to the nice west coast beach. Staff was not really helping. We ask infos to go to Koh Lanta, the reception guy said something nto helping and that it would cost a lot, so we went to a little travel office and all was simple and cheap!

Very nice, clean and quiet place. Romantic and generous bungalows. Very good and not expensive restaurant with beautiful vieuw. Even with beer.

It was out of the way and secluded which is what we wanted after a busy few days in Bangkok! Beautiful surroundings and the cottage we stayed in was lovely. We got off the long boat at west railay beach not realising where the resort was and it is a good 15 minutes walk from there and with back packs it feels even longer! The hotel do put on a long boat at certain times of the day so I would jump in one of them or get a boat taxi. The staff were lovely and very friendly - I would definitely recommend a stay!

Staff were friendly, but communication was difficult as some didn't speak or understand a single word of English, even staff at reception. The location is beautiful, but it is very noisy because of the outboard motors of the local long-tail boats. It's not a fault of the hotel, it's what it is as no roads lead to Railay beach. Just people looking for quiet should keep that in mind. 'Rush hour' is at 6.30am, and again in the afternoon at 4.30pm. But there are boats at any time of the day (or night).

Beautiful location. Lovely accomodation. Great pool. fabulous veiws. Chalets comfortable and very clean.

Not particularly freindly due to difficult communication with language. Would be nice to have snacks/llight meals more openly available during day.

The view, the pool, the aesthetics and comfort of bungalows, restaurant view, food especially free breakfast. For Thailand it was amazing to be provided with free drinking water, coffee, face cloths and hand towels in your room. Gorgeous place!

Relaxing escape from all the crowds and tourists. Very romantic and rooms were gorgeous and very comfortable!

Staff in restaurant could be more welcoming and helpful.
