The view. The room design. The swimming pool. The free boat ride from resort.
Distance. The bad wifi. Damn bad. Poor communication with the staff members. Aircon was not working well. Ant. Not ants. Just ant. Red ant. No buffet breakfast, although I was told there would be one. Thank goodness I did not sign up for one. I was offered ala carte for the price of 300b. I decided to walk out for my breakfast.
great resort with nice interior and fantastic view. best spot to relax and chill.
Lovely rooms, ok breakfast, quiet location, nice staff
longtail boats in the morning (noisy)
Massive sea view balcony, decorations, atmosphere, almost everything.
A little long walk to the restaurants and shops.
Quiet, big rooms.
Half hearted service, a little too far out from everything else. 10mins walk out everytime you need to go out to something.
Location is great as long as you are OK with walking up hill. Quiet with a nice view.
-Staff should be much more well-trained and speak better English. They misunderstood us many times. -Wifi should be much wider.
The rooms, pool, fauna, views as well as staff!!!
Must maintain under the bungalows and remove old building materials!!!
The staff completely unfriendly , bad smell in the room , breakfast service , emails never answered poor poor poor service , no massage .....
The view from the room was a good one, facing the sea.
Staff did not understand English well. We had hard time explaining ourselves to them. Told them to clear the finished food plates in our room, they said ok ok over the phone but we ended up sleeping with it till the next day. No one came to clear the plates. Many upsetting scenarios as such happened during our stay there so I will NOT go back to railey resort and spa.
Room space and pool location/design
Our booking failed to provide a phone number for the resort or directions on how to get there. In fact the show directions tab kept showing that google maps could not assist. We soon found out why - there is no land accesss- the resort can only be accessed by boat .No details were given that the resort can in fact pick you up. On arrival we were given a cabin @ the top of the hill which was impossible access for a 66 year old. Access to the rest of Railay was also hard for people of advanced age. The incessant roar of long boat motors was also a negative not to mention a virtual absence of alcohol. The property could be Moslem owned which needs to be highlighted if it is the case. Having previously spent 4 miserable days in Dubai we have decided we cannot cope with Moslem locations
The view is the best and staff are very friendly and the room was very clean...........
Great staff service and especially their front office manager Kun. bun Great beach view
The room was stunning.
Love the room decor! Facility is good. The pool is good too.
The location is not good.Do expect a long walk from railay west to east. There is free shuttle boat to Ao Nan Mao, but there is no boat coming back.. isn't it ridiculous...
It feels like thailand unlike some modern hotels. The bangalows are really cool and comfortable. The pool i s great. We didnt mind, but there 's about 10 minute walk necesarry to get to the closest bar and another 5 to all restaurants . Hotel has its own. And when youre coming back its uphill.
the restaurant had small portions and a lot more expensive than restaurants in town. There were constructions works going on next to our bangallow but they have to do it someday somlow season is the best time i guess.
It's a charming hotel, with a quiet space. Away from the young people having fun.
All the stairs to get to the room, the reception people speak in english really bad, a lot of insects on the room and in the bed (it was the only hotel in thailand and bali that we had this problem inside the room), the bathtub was dirty, and we had no view while the room was supposed to be with a view.
The room , bath shower , terrace, view, pool ,dining pavilion, lobby, little bar just down the way towards town, short boat trip to pier and taxis, the short walk to great restaurants, all around best place we found in the area. Thanks
The stairs to the upper rooms are tough but worth it.
Mid way in to a movie on TV the channel started to change without any input from us. Calling reception and a tecnician was absolutly useless as normaly is when you have something off the menu.
Very romatic room, good place if you want to be at room long time, nice moon track from Railay to hotel.
from my point of view not tasty food in restaurant, no spa & massage, some of bungalow under constuction.
The hotel has a good view.
1. A lot of trash on the hotel beach and around East Railay area. 2. Poor communication and help with transfer from pier in Krabi to Railay - had to take longtail boat and then walk 20 minutes to hotel. Hotel had a local pier but this was not communicated to us. Hotel did not provide any transfer service. 3. The food at the restaurant was average, but had nice servers. 4. The room safe locked our belongings inside it for 2 hours...had to get another safe installed in the room. 5. It is difficult and time consuming to get from the hotel to anything else in Railay or elsewhere. It is a 10-15 minute walk at a minimum. 6. Hotel did not have a bar or a minibar in the room. 7. After ordering room service we left our plates outside the room. We called the front desk twice to have it picked up and it remained outside in the heat for 2 days before pickup. 7. The internet connection was quite slow and unreliable. Furthermore you could only connect if around the restaurant and pool area
The houses are great, clean plenty of space nice balcony with beautiful view. The pool was the best of all the places we stayed while in Thailand and the breakfast had a wide choice in a picturesque outdoor setting. The highlight of our stay was being woken up by monkeys jumping around the trees by our house and being able to watch them with our morning coffee (unfortunately as they're wild this can't be guaranteed)
The only real issue is location, Railay is very small but this hotel is in the furthest corner away from all the beaches bars and restaurants. In reality it's not that far maybe 15/20 minutes but it is up hill (arrival) and in the Thai heat it can become a small issue. The Hotel does provide a free boat service to take you most of the way but it only runs three times a day. Secondary is the insects, they're an issue all over Thailand but due to the houses being right in the forest they are in higher concentrations, the hotel does provide a net surrounding the bed but we found it difficult at times to sit on the balcony due to the frequency of being bitten.
Accommodation beautiful with fantastic views. Room comfortable and clean.
As it was a Muslim owned hotel, no alcohol - not even a glass of wine with meal, so we didn't use the restaurant again. This should be made clear when advertising hotel. Once or twice breakfast selection very poor and limited. Pool area can be cleaned first thing in the morning, including sun lounges etc - got there at 11am and all wet and dirty from night before rain.
The views from this hotel are amazing and the location is beautiful with the cottages nestled in the hillside jungle. This comes at a price though as there is a lot of climbing up very steep paths and steps to get anywhere.
This is no alcohol at this hotel apart from beer for which you have to pay cash (more than twice the normal price).
I love the view of my room,,
Mosquito at night & monkey surround
The view is indeed amazing. The rooms are very pretty, the bathroom is amazing. Super comfortable bed. Eggs and pancakes in breakfast.
The silence of the remote location is interrupted constantly from the longtail boats passing non-stop from 6 a.m.. Although the bungalows seem very nice and are very well decorated, the construction is not good, they seem fragile and there are a lot of holes for insects and cockroaches to come in (had one in my room). Don't sleep without the mosquito net. The environment of the hotel is not very taken care of. Although the bungalows are fine, the corridors and stairs could be better.
