Staff was very friendly ans helpful. This hotel is a paradise in the middle of Chiang Mai
April 28, 2015
Swimming Pools great and breakfast buffet was superb value for money with a fantastic selection everyday. A bit far out of the old town but still great as a base for the sights around CM. Kids loved the TukTuk ride back from town too.

The room was very poorly finished. The senior management not interested in engaging in any discussion. Other better appointed rooms were sold for the same price. We were charged extra for songranday festival for 3 days but were never informed when we booked. When I tried to discuss this the lady manager was not interested.
The pool and the day frontline staff.

I can't honestly say anything was bad.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Two nice swimming pools....cheap mini bar and free bottled water. Great value for money...two bedrooms en suite for the price of a British Youth Hostel!

Nothing- it was great
Peaceful and Authentic Thai feel. Not far from centre but far enough to feel that you had the best of the city and a retreat.
April 12, 2015
Not close to anything helpful (in terms of walking distance) but staff organised transport and if you don't book in the city then that's what you get.
2 swimming pools, the slightly more expensive room had a really groovy set up with an awesome bath and lots of space. The second part of our stay we moved to a cheaper room which did the job. Excellent pancakes for breakfast.

Bathrooms to small, unreliable hot water.
Rustic feel of the place. Breakfast. Value for money.
April 10, 2015
A bit noisy - lots of building and clearing going on very nearby in April 2025.
We enjoyed swimming after busy days, two bedrooms in one for us and the kids and the buffet breakfast.
April 9, 2015
People smoking in the restaurant when there are signs not too.women were the worst offenders
Restaurant food was very well presented and good value for price.
April 7, 2015
Beds are very hard. Rooms have windows only in the bathroom so are dark.
Breakfast was massive and delicious. Rooms combine antique details with sleek modern look.
April 6, 2015
The family room has the main door coming in to what would be the 'kids' room (with twin beds). That means once you put the kids to bed, you're kind of stuck in your room. The room also quite tired, and the showers were terrible.
If you're travelling with young children (ours were 2 & 4) and want separate bedrooms, we found the choice quite limited. Rainforest can cater for this. We had a great time, but there were some niggles. I should stress that the staff were great and the pools were lovely.

My friend had issues with being menaced by dogs on early morning jogs.
This hotel is an amazing oasis! we walked to it from the Chang Mai train station and were surrised to find such a beautiful, peaceful, comfortable facility....while we were walking to it the aea seemd increasingly industrial, dusty, dirty, decrepit. suddenyl on a dusty sideroad we found this gorgeous, boutique hotel. Very picturesque with fantastic pool, super comfortable beds and very polite, helpful staff. get a massage here. rainforest is in a great location, near but not too near the old city. You can easily find transport or even walk to and from the old city. well worth going to this hotel!

Only drawback is hotel out of town but nice & peaceful, had to get taxi to town every time.
Hotel value for money, many things to do & see, excellent local restaurants, tours. Extended stay to 6 nights.
March 24, 2015
The shower curtain was not clean, fungus i guess. Staff at reception is very kind and they smile all the time but staff at restaurant are so unkind! I thought (looking at the map) that chiang mai city was doable by bisicle but the resort is far from the city center.
Decoration and style of the resort is just like the picture! Two swimming Pools were ok. Rooms were big.
March 21, 2015
Room was nowhere near clean enough. A collection of spider webs on the room ceilings. It's not hard to get a duster and clean it. Bathroom wasn't clean enough and wifi wasn't the best.
2 pools and gym facilities. The breakfast was good, with a wide variety.
March 20, 2015
Small, dark, old and very dirty room (big spiders net). Dirty pool. Some of the staff were rude and lazy. Never Again !!!
March 13, 2015
My first room was opposite the hotel kitchen, and noisy in the morning and evening. I moved to one closer to the elevator, which meant noise from the motorcycles on the lane, but gave me a nice view of the main pool. Staff was very accommodating about the change.
Great choice at breakfast. Lovely salt water pools. Very helpful staff offered wide range of services. Had a chicken coconut curry in the restaurant that was great. Place looks lovely. Once I learned how to use the white and red vans on the main street to get in to town the location away from the inner city wasn't a problem.
March 10, 2015
Some times other guests make a lot of noise.
Staff, pools, beautiful rooms, free night market shuttle. We got great assistance from the staff and we think they are truly awesome. THANK YOU!
March 9, 2015
