We love staying at the Rainforest Luxury Boutique hotel (5 nights) which has friendly and helpful staff! We have a spacious room on the 2nd floor of the old building overlooking the swimming pool. The room has a lovely wooden front (authentic touch!) door, wooden furniture, a stone floor (we like!), a good bed/mattress (VIP after sightseeing days) and a spacious dressing room with a separate shower and toilet and bath! And complimentary WiFi. We love it. There is also a spa, but we did not try it - no time! The hotel is set in lush green garden a bit out of the city center, providing an oasis of peace and quiet. It connects to the main road by a little lane. There are plenty of truck taxis and TukTuks around. If not, the reception or the "taxi lady" across from the hotel can organize. Food is good, served in a wooden no-window restaurant. Latter for sake of fresh air. Excellent value for money. What else can I say? Come and try it out yourself and enjoy!!
We loved the place. Nothing negative comes to mind. It's good to be a bit out of town. Hotel provides oasis of rest after busy touristy day. It's excellent value for money.
Comfortable room in luxury boutique section, lovely staff, cheap washing of clothes, great food,100bht for 4 people into town, helpful with bookings.we really loved staying here
Sewerage smell, slow wfi, steps for elderly people
nice pool and ver nice big rooms. Loved the mini pool inside the room!
Typical thai hôtel
On internet it looks like it is in the forest but it is in town.
We loved the rooms & pool, the scenery was lovely.
The pools are nice - sea water pools. Great taxi driver outside called Mr. Lucky, he's really fab, always use him - 100 baht to the night bizarre. It was full of western men with thai women which is interesting to watch! The staff are lovvvellly!!!
The bed was like sleeping in a cave, hard and uncomfortable, they had clearly pushed two twin bedS together and dumped a double mattress on them. I'm pretty sure there was poo marks on the wall in the toilet. The bath was a square hole made from cement. The shower smelt like sewage. There were dead insects all over the floor in the bathroom. Our room was infront of slums and adjacent to a building site so a bit noisy!
The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room that we booked was unfortunately beside a construction site and the noise was a large nuisance; we asked for a new, quieter room and they obliged without any resistance.
Although designed fairly nicely, the rooms have seen some wear and tear. The atmosphere although like a rainforest as advertised, it felt a little cramped.
staff very good food good
swimming pool very cold rooms a bit dark bathroom need paiting
A hotel with character, lovely resturant staff and food, two clean, secluded pools. Double deluxe room has semi outside shower and toilet and an outside round bath. Great value for a really nice, quiet hotel with some charm. About 3 km to night market.
Hotel staff very helpful, facilities very good.
Helpfulness of staff. The excellent room. The lovely food at breakfast and also for evening meals. Overall wonderful
some stairs are wooden and were a bit too well polished for us
The breakfast was good, we really like that you could order fresh omelets, pancakes etc. The room was Big and clean, toilet and bath was almost outside in the back of the room, like being in a rainforest. There was a big cement bathtube. We did not use it, but nice it was there. Good drinks. They let us storage our bags there while we went trekking in the mountains/jungle. When we returned we were offered free transfer to the train station
Needed a little bit of Management, someplaces was a little shabby e.g wooden floor near the pool.
Wrong twin beds that I ordered a queen bed with a smoking room
Staff made a mistake to open a twin beds for us??
We stayed here for 8 nights over the xmas and nye period - it was a great place to stay for that time. Room was clean, comfortable, really big and had a great feel to them. The breakfast was great! Egg station was fab. Pool was nice.
You may as well hire a motorbike for the time you stay here... in town it costs 200 per day which is what it will cost you for 2 trips to/from town in tuk tuk. Was a bit dark in rooms. The spa bath took ages to fill up with hot water
Very helpful staff. Lovely room with sunken bath and separate shower and toilet. Loved the choice at breakfast. Ate in restaurant 3 evenings and excellent menu and perfectly cooked food, Thai and western. Service faultless. Taxi stand right outside hotel, very reasonable price although a lot of times we enjoyed walking to old town.
Beautiful hotel. Big and comfortable room and bathroom. Good breakfast (including some western options which was really appreciated). Very clean. The food on the restaurant was also very good.
The rooms have no window therefore dark, but it was not an issue as we didn't spend a lot of time in the room. The staff was very friendly until we decided no to take any of the tours they offered us (because they were 2 times more expensive than in a local travel agency).
we did like the friendlyness of the staff. The Breackfast and the choice of the meals is excellent. the pool is small but very nice and clean We like the big sice of the Rooms
we did not like that the Room was all dark. No sunshine , the Balcony was very small, not space for 2 chairs. We did book the room very early, but we not get a room with sunnshine during the day
Room was large and very cool with a very awesome outdoor covered in bath area and large bath Cleaning staff were very lovely. Close to Train, bus and taxis easy to get around from.
Hard bed. Check in man (manager?) was not very welcoming or friendly. Rooms very noisy with construction next door and also hotel operations. Breakfast was average bread had mould on it. Seemed to be a lot bigger hotel than information let on, I wouldn't call it 'boutique"
Quiet & a private feel to the hotel, .
poor lighting for reading in the room.
Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff. Great food. The tours were great and good value for money. Shout out to suzy who was our Chiang Rai tour guide who was wonderful.
A bit out of the city but the location was good.
The pool area was very nice. The restaurant has views to the pool and the nature surroundings are very pleasant. The room was ok.
The breakfast was not that good. Some variety but not quality. A bit far from the city. The staff wasn't that nice.
The architecture of the hotel is nice, therefore even staying outside the room was a pleasure. The restaurant offers good food and drinks, at reasonable price, served in a nice space. We felt reborn after trying the 'classic' massage offered in the spa.
The hotel is in a quiet area, at a walking distance from the railway station, but far from the centers of interest and the bus stations, however reachable by tuk-tuk or shared taxi. The luxury room where we stayed was clean and comfortable, but the bedroom is a bit far from the only window, so that very little natural light gets into. Besides, toilet and shower are near the private small garden, with blind-like doors and windows, which cannot keep ants and other kind of insects away. The breakfast is the typical Asian one, with a limited but tasty choice for Europeans (besides it was always the same).
Stayed at the Boutique seccion of this hotel Room was quite nice, the pool and the restaurant were fine. Would like to thank Miss Ung for her always kind assitance and compliment her on her english!
It is somewhat out of the center, but planning the day and using tuktuk this can be remedied.
The overall ambiance was tastefully done with very nice touches of simple and natural materials, fit right into nature. We managed to switch to a suite (with 2 bathrooms!) at the main hotel which had a lovely view overlooking trees at the pool area.
Original boutique bedroom lacked a window(other than bathroom). The initial approach to the hotel was a bit of a shock, but then we found the whole city to look the same. (It was actually well located with direct access to the main bridge where the lantern festivals took place) Finding return transport was a little difficult though.
Hotel staff were helpful and friendly the location was quiet the complimentary breakfast was good nice view
Badly fitted taps in the bathroom meant water spilt over the edge of the sink
