5-Minute walk to Night Bazaar. B100. by Songtaow to airport or train station. Well-airconditioned Room and bathroom was fairly spacious. My regret was it's a Thai Hotel, therefore, they opened the doors of the lobby and breakfast room and the heat and humidity were unbearable. Don't stay at this hotel unless you like the heat and humidity.

pretty near to night market though quite a distance to walk excellent staffs who speaks decent english probably been ard for sometime all tutuk drivers know the hotel at the back of their hand many street massages available and much cheaper than bangkok breakfast provided by the hotel is adequate. noisy especially if u stay on 2nd and 3rd floor off the rack shows 1600bhat which is full price; published rates and yet we booked thru booking.com for 1590bhat. Felt being shortchanged. not well maintained and its OLD and dirty. Cupboard cannot be closed properly. if u are travelling with family, not advisable to stay cos it is near to all the girlie bars but there are better girlie bars elsewhere in CNX.

The hotel provided a variety of great tour packages as well as a discount on a spa package at the hotel spa. Free wifi was in our rooms and pick-up from and deliver to the airport was included in the cost of the room that we booked. The large pool was a refreshing treat on the very hot days. Breakfast buffet was fabulous and the hotel was close to the old city and night market. Good value for the money!

The hotel is comfortable and they have beans for the breakfast!!! After 3 months in Asia, really appreciated! The area is full of creepy bars with old foreigners coming to enjoy the prostitutes... Swimming pool is not in the hotel but 200 m of the lodge across the street and prices for tours in the lodge are a lot higher than in the few agencies with asked...

Location, near night bazaar en nice bars. Very friendly staff. Nice pool. Free shuttle from airport to hotel and back. Very dated rooms, bathroom needs update. Beds are very hard, sheets with stains (vlekken). Safe is very small, could barely put the ipad in it. Breakfast is very limited if you don't like rice & noodle.

Good location in Chiang Mai. Breakfast was good. Nice to have a pool too! Noise from the road could be an issue for some...didn't worry us though.

The architecture if the hotel was very nice. The restaurant attached to the hotel had a fabulous Thai Chicken curry. Very accessible to the old city and markets Service at the front desk by one particular gentleman was fantastic. For a single woman traveller got a terrible room. No soap in the bathroom. No toilet paper had to ask for it. The sliding window in the room could not be locked and the window came off it's rail making it a safety issue. The cleaning supplies, buckets, etc were stored just outside the room. Lots of cluttering noise from moving cleaning equipment. Be prepared see young prostitutes with old men everywhere, especially at breakfast in the morning. Breakfast was poor quality given that Thailand has spectacular food. Walking out if the hotel at night may be safe but certainly not pleasant with the prostitution trade. The service by the women at the front desk was very poor.

Good location to thapae Gate and nightbazzar. Cleanness and classic room style. There are not enough food selections for breakfast. Old dishes and kitchen appliances. Swimming pool where two or three adults can swim is small and outside cross the small lane

Great location in Chiang Mai, walking distance from main market areas and various temples. Superb Spa on top floor, which was well priced. Good selection for breakfast. Large room with massive bed. Lots of noise at night (but this is a busy area - wear earplugs if you are a light sleeper). A singer was placed in the courtyard of the hotel and played until 10pm every night, quite loud and not really my cup of tea. The rooms are a little dated, but this is a minor comment as the hotel is great value for money otherwise. Hotel laundry is expensive, but there are plenty of cheap options minutes of walk away. Yes, there are quite a few red light bars around, but unfortunately you may find it hard to avoid these in chiang mai.

Location of the hotel was good, right amongst restaurants and bars and a short walk to the night markets. Poor communications by tour desk staff left us stranded at the zoo and we had to catch a taxi home(although we did get a refund from them).

Raming Lodge was a good value hotel with an excellent location for the night bazaar (I.E. market).I Paid about 8000b (160 pounds sterling) for 4 nights. I booked a superior double room, the delux room is more expensive, but all you get is a free airport tranfer and a larger bed. Taxi from airport is only 120B and the bed we had was plenty big enough, so not worth it. Walk toward night bazaar and try a french restaurant called Le Barazzerie (I think), very good value and excellent food. Hotel food was very good also, the breakfast provided was well worth the money. Very friendly staff at reception and generally helpful. Do go to the zoo, and allow at least half a day. We only had 1-2 hours and it was not enough. Kids of all ages will love it, including the big adult ones. Enjoy You can book all trips through the hotel and get a discount for 2nd person. However, one trip to the temple on the hill included a side trip to Bhubing (I think) Palace. It was closed for refurbishment! Some things, like the hill temple and palace are only 50B or so to get in. I paid 700B each for the trip! So plenty of money for the minibus and hotel profit. If you are travelling as group, local trips would be cheaper if you haggled with a local taxi. Be ready to spend a lot on the trips anyhow, to my mind they are overpriced. In 4 days I paid out something like 8000B or more (160 pounds sterling) on trips alone. The Golden Trianle trip is a very long day but a good trip. Be warned though, 13 hours on a minibus with a russian who has severe BO makes for a long day. The White Temple is well worth a visit, but the trip over the Mekong to Loas is a bit of a waste of time, there is only another market there, nothing else. A high viewpoint over the Golden Triangle would have been nice, did'nt get one though.

My husband & I were ill when we arrived & the staff were excellent, they organised their mini bus to take us to the hospital & were very caring. Our cleaner even left a bouquet of flowers to cheer me up. The room was very comfortable. We had a little bit if road & bar noise.
