A very good hotel, being let down by an inadequate wifi . It is very frustrating having to log in every time to use wifi. It is unreliable and cumbersome. The only consistent wifi was in the restaurant. I hope the management makes efforts to improve the system and bring it up to an acceptable standard. Having said that, I love staying in Raming Lodge and will be back.
This is a really great place to stay. Location is great , staff courteous and helpful.
Location, convenience of layout, breakfast & restaurant
Spa were excellent, You have to try it. Serious
Wifi in room was not reliable
Location staff and breakfast
Everything!location was great- 5min walking from night bazaar and center! Pool was clean and sun loungers were comfy! Room was amazing, super comfortable bed!we loved everything! If you rent a car/motorbike you can leave it at the secured parking from the hotel!
stay 2 nights here. don't have hot water in our bathroom for 3 days!!! 1st night, warm water was avaliable, i felt bad but didn't tell the staff. 2nd night, water was cold, it was totally unacceptable!!! I complaint about it, then staff lie on me, they said all rooms cannot use hot water. After 1.5hr, they provide another room for me. I complaint over 4 times, they waste my time!!!
snack bar for free
Great staff & service, excellent location to night markets and street cafes. Love the foot massages, a must do in Chiang Mai
Location is close to Old Town and on a way full of traffic...so a little bit noisy if you don't choose a room on high floor.
I 've already wrote about Raming last year. In the last 4 years I've always choosen this hotel for its location and courtesy of staff. Rooms are wife and clean. Breakfast at buffet is complete.
The pillows were so hard I had a job to sleep. This was my fault as I knew at time of booking, but the lack of a real size window made the room very dark and quite depressing.
The staff were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for you, the pool was a nice little get away and very quiet. Breakfast was more than enough. Rooms of a very good size and location was just right.
I would have loved to have clothes iron inside the room.
I stayed 4 nights in this hotel with my mother and sister. We booked royal suite and it was comfortable. 2 bedrooms and one living room. Great location with 5 min walk to the night bazaar. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Room service was superb.
bed is two singles with a piece in the middle , so not that great. Bathroom is a little tired.
Pool outside the hotel, weak wifi in the room, dingy hotel, breakfast paying extra for 4 year-old child, never coming back to this hotel
Great Staff nothing too much trouble. Fabulous food, walking distance to night market.
I thank myself I booked this hotel for only one night as there are so many better options in Chiang Mai. 4 star hotel charging 55-60 euros and you get a hotel that s not worth more than 25 a night. Here s what you get in this "4" star hotel: - used slippers!!! - once a year washed chair pillows - beds that look like coffins and extremely ugly furniture - cheap looking everything: bedlamps, shower, shower curtains. - cheap sandstone room floor. - cheap bazzar blankets for you to enjoy a good night sleep. They go along well with the noise from the low profile bars on the street. If your name is Gigi and you are a 50 yo fat hairy turkish pimp making a living in Bulgary and think you re living large in Thailand in your 8 days stay, then go there. I ve seen hostels more elegant than this cheap dump.
Terrible spa attached. Hot water took at least 5 minutes to appear.
Location, free water, friendly staff.
Location, staff, courtesy car pick up from airport, breakfast, and yes, bed comfort. My last stay saw me happy with everything except the bed ( too hard). This time the bed in the room was much more comfortable. A great hotel.
Great location to the night bazaar and walking distance to a lot of amazing bars!
Superior room without window!!
The noise. All rooms are on some kind of open patio and the noise is getting to the room. Extremely noisy, even during night time when people are getting (late) back to their rooms. too expensive for what you get.
Very nice location. Large room. Comfortable bed. Hudge bathroom very friendly staff
burger bar cocktails rooms location free snacks
Double bed are 2 single beds put together but as they put a piece of matras in between it was still ok.
Very good location. Very good wifi. Clean hotel.
No major problems.
The biggest improvement at the Raming Lodge is the restaurant is much better. The breakfast is good, and house keeping is good.
The walls in the rooms are to thin and you can hear the people next door. The rooms must be mirror imaged and the light switch in the middle of the bed must go directly through a hole in the wall and when the people turn their light on and off it sounds like it is your switch. lol A bit old but is has that nice old feeling that is nice.
Location was great. Clean. Great little court yard for breakfast. Breakfast was nice. Room was only a superior but big and comfortable. This place is not new. It is a well used hotel that is worth staying there. I am very fussy though I like it. I would stay here again.
Room was old, bed creaked loudly with even the slightest movement, air conditioning unit blocked any view out the window, ashtrays for cigarettes right outside our door, smoking allowed in the breakfast area. Wifi unreliable, constantly had to try connecting to a different router.
Location within walking distance of night bazaar, night market, old town, restaurants/bars. Shower pressure and temperature were good. Complimentary breakfast and round trip airport transportation.
