Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan Villa Resort & Spa    

Amazing! A really lovely resort, nestled away on the north east corner of the island. We loved the speed boat arrival on the beach, the cute beach town and all of the amenities and services at the resort. The beach was really spectacular and the service was top notch.

The food and drinks were relatively expensive for what they offered-- essentially classic Thai dishes with standard ingredients. It was very easy to find alternatives for dining though-- so we splurged a couple of meals at the hotel and some in town.

Beach - Clean water and nice white sand and great service by the staff around the beach. Rooms - We stayed in a garden room which was so beautiful! It was nice and clean and I loved it! And I also loved the apple tv in the room. Infinity pool - A great pool, but always crowded with children. Love the swim-up bar. Overall a beautiful and nice hotel (minus children) with lovely staff and service, great rooms and a beautiful beach!

Sun - Wrong side of the island as you get no sun lying on the beach from 15-15.30 o'clock and later. You still get tanned if you're in the water, though. :-) Children - If I knew how many children there would be here, I would have booked another hotel. We had a garden villa with a pool (I wouldn't call it a pool, though) where the children from the villa above us kept throwing many stones in our pool. I shouted at them to stop, and after throwing 30 stones down at us, they finally stopped. I told this to a staffmember, but she just smiled and said "Yes, but they are children." Not the answer I had hoped for! :-( Food - It was good, but way too pricey in the hotel. We had dinner outside the hotel after one dinner in the hotel. It was actually ten times cheaper. Would recommend you to dine outside the hotel and have drinks in the hotel afterwards :-)

the hotel is well positioned in a beautiful location. the hotel has excellent facilities, it's very beautiful and well kept and above all the staff is wonderfully hospitable considerate and proactive. this ranks as one of the best hotels I ever stayed at.

I hated leaving..... I'd maybe add another running machine to the gym and consider packages for the spa for the guests

Our beautiful room and terrace. Very modern and cosy at the same time. Wonderful stylled garden and buildings, Delicious food and drinks. Absolutely loved your fresh juices! Incredible staff that are very well trained, prepared for any special requests, very helpful and pro active, speaks wonderful English! Great pool and perfect for adults aswell as for little kids! Kids can easily play in the undeep area's of the pool. Lots of toys available for kids to play either in the sand or in the pool. We ask if we could spend our last day before taking the plane in the evening at their sister hotel in Koh Samui- which was immediately ok and the speed boat transfer could not have been smoother. Thank you Anantara! We will be back!

Sandbags on the beach! I am sure they will be replaced by a proper platform protected from the erosion of the sea and waves..

The hotel has a very cosy and friendly boutique type layout and is perfect for honeymooners or a romantic getaway. The tropical setting around the rooms is great as well. The setting of the private pool in the garden was beautiful as was the bathroom (rain shower was amazing). The staff were extremely friendly and made the stay there very comfortable with anything one may require. The breakfast each morning was really good and was a pleasure having it on the beach.

Nearly unbeatable location that is very well used. Excellent attitude of all the staff. They treat you well from the very first to the last moment and they very watchful to your needs and wishes.

Not enough services and amenities to clients. Hotel should organise more activities and be pro-active about them to clients. Staff extremely nice but with limited english and here and there signs of not enough training. Almost no beach activities although it is a beach front hotel. So called library was a pile of books left by clients. No evening activities other than dinner.

An amazing experience all round. It is a very enjoyable resort to stay in where the staff accommodated our every request. From the infinity pool with swim up bar overlooking the beach, to the magnificently tasty restaurant on premise that is reasonably priced, to the sipping of cocktails of your reserved beach sun lounges. It's the perfect place for a luxury island getaway and the ideal place of some adventure and romance! 10 out of 10.

This place had a fantastic intimate feeling about it with lovely staff, great facilities, great food and a stunning location. Having the local town nearby was also good so you can eat local etc. would definitely return!

The resort is located in a very nice and quiet part of the island. The landscape is very different from the other island we came from and it is very quiet and relaxing. The front desk staff is very good ( Thank you Julia :) ) and always helpful We had an incident with the room staff which was handled by the reservation manager. (Nipaporn). The restaurant staff is also up to part, really nice and attentive. The hotel was very accommodating with the transfer from the hotel to their sister hotel for the remaining of the day that we had on Koh Samui before heading back home that evening.

A little his cup with the room servicing which has been handled with the reservation manager. Arriving to the sister hotel we received a phone call regarding a beach bag usage and a chocolate bar eaten which we didn't use nor eat and the front desk handled it with no trouble. These things happened anywhere in any resorts. Not happy when it happens but it didn't in any case spoiled our vacation.

Staying at Anantara is like going to heaven. The staff is nice and they listen to what you say. The beach is beautifull with no rocks to hurt your feet, the music goes perfectly with the rhythm of the day and you always feel like this is the place you were looking for since a long time. Mark, the General Manager of the place is always around and you feel like he is here to arrange what ever you may need. The room are very nicely decorated, the beach offers comfortable sun-beds and the breakfast is great. In short, every thing has been very well done to make you feel in peace and harmony with the nature. I could speak for hours about the good vibes and good energies I have received being here, at the Anantara (koh PhanNgan). I will come back as I now live in Bangkok and stay longer next time.

Идеальное расположение. Один из лучших пляжных отелей, в которых я был. Вышколенный персонал, внимательное отношение. Очень красивые виллы, как внутри так и снаружи. Еда - по настоящему изысканная.

Отвратительный сервис на завтраке. Слабенький и никакой спа. Лежаков на пляже в обрез - приходиться ходить по пляжу и искать свободные. В целом для такой высокой цены слишком много минусов. В следующий раз в него не поеду.

La situation de l 'hôtel sur la plage et aux abords d'un charmant petit village dont l'acces, plus pittoresque que difficile, est ponctue par la découverte d'un havre de calme, de luxe et de volupté. Les chambres qui donnent sur la plage sont somptueuses, le personnel au top tout comme le restaurant et le très complet et délicieux petit dej. Très très bel endroit.

Отель немного уставший, на нашей вилле было мало солнечного света, она была чуть в глубине и это портило вид.

Обслуживание отличное, отличный номер, территория отеля очень красивая и удобно загорать на шезлонгах, потрясающие виды.

Слишком дорогой ресторан в отеле. Качество еды отличное, но цены нереально завышены. Оставили очень приличную сумму, хотя после первых двух дней предпочитали есть в отелях по соседству и прекрасном ресторане Luna.
