Score from 328 reviews Wonderful
Good food, one of the best resturant i have been. The pool is great and clean. View is amaizing..
wi-fi... too slow and inthe up hill room signal is very weak.
Location by the sea is fantastic. Ozone pool is a great place to relax and watch the sun go down. Good for families with young children. Quick service at the pool area. Breakfast was good with lots of choice.
Although is has a 5 star infrastructure (it looks similar to some Sheratons that we have stayed in Thailand) It is in no way 5 star as regards to the service and facilities. Strange atmosphere with the very young staff, all appeared not happy to be there and the usual Thai smiles were conspicuous by their absence (notably many of the staff are not from Thailand!) Hotel was dead at night despite appearing busy during breakfast and during the day. This may be because of the very high prices and 17% extra charges for each order (hotel has a no cash policy to "save you money on exchange rates & ATM charges"!!) Old fashioned cheesy elevator music playing all the time doesn't create any kind of holiday atmosphere. Returning at midnight we had to use our phone torches to navigate through the gardens. For the money we paid I expected much much more.
The resort is nicely built, with 3 different pools and great garden ! Breakfast choices were big, as well as food quality. Staff is very kind and speaks English ! A lot of Toiletries in the room and of good quality.Room was clean. shuttle service from Krabi airport was great.we paid 2,200 THB.
We ended up in one of the room up on the hills, accessible by stairs (a lot of steps and not easy with the heat even for a young person). However, a mini car brought you to the room whenever neeeded.but in any case, it was a bit disturbing being so far from the beach and restaurant. Pool bar serves pretty mediocre food with European prices (quite expensive for Thailand average and quality).just go outside or on the beach for tasty and safe cheap food (fish). The gym facility was quite disappointing:rusty weights and tread mills, and old mats (almost unusable).no water inside the gym and lots of mosquitos !!
Beautiful serene atmosphere defiantly try the beach bar next door if the pool villa is available I'd certainly recommend booking that too. Hire scooters and see the Island
We asked to hire scooters on the second day but was told they were all booked out... No problems can we have two tomorrow... Sorry the people that have them today may want them... Moral of the story if you do get hold of them book them all week
we enjoyed it so much we upgraded our room and stayed an extra 2 nights. Food and service were great and staff were always ready to help. great views and close enough to catch a tuk tuk or scooter to other bars and restaurants.
The weather - but thats out of their control, power outage meant no air con but this was fixed in realtively good time.
Resort facalities were A grade 5 star quality. Location great, Nice quiet and beautiful resort.
It seemed like none of the staff knew what they were doing, I think this comes down to management being visible and giving clearer direction in procedures and training. no service at the pool, no entertainment, no table numbers so they knew where to take meals which created mistakes with my meal and others, went to hire a bike at reception waited 20 minutes until we had to go and ask ourselves but they had none left and was told to try up the road absolute no help at all. Perhaps they are all new staff in need of training but I think the management needs to outline this to patrons by being visible when there is an issue and supporting there staff.
The staff we're great, great location right by the beach. The pool area was fantastic.
takes a bit of time to get there from the airport, but is worth it when you get there.
Breakfast is not of an 5 star hotel Location of the room (walk for 5 mn) Staff on the pool and reception is not nice the prices on the menus don´t look expensive but when they deliver the bill they increase the 7% vat and 10% for services - very expensive and not really honest
The WiFi in the rooms were very very poor, most of the time had to use my roaming data. Very bad experience with data connection in the rooms
Clean hotel that offers a beautiful garden, pool and beach. Excellent breakfast and friendly poolstaff
Very bad wifi, i constantly got kicked off the network. Phoned 7 times to reception but no help or solution. We had a very bad dinner experience. Beverages and food were overexpensive. You cant just sell a beer or simple coctail for double the normal price just because you run a nice resort. But again a very nice resort it is.
Location, Breakfast spread, Restaurant menu, airport pickup & drop
The whole hotel area and garden. I went around to the other 5 star hotels on Koh Lanta in order to compare and found out Rawi Warin is the most pleasant and beautiful of them all. Very friendly staff Big nice rooms with god beds Very good restaurants Excellent breakfast with a various of frech fruit juices among other things Inifinty pool cleaned by ozone - very fresh and free from clorine Cinema and music rooms that you can book and use for free Library with lots of books
In our room the internet was unstable but most other guests didnt have that problem. If WiFi is important to you, check it in your rom before accepting the room. The gym was not that well equipped and not air conditioned at the time we stayed at the hotel. The equipment was rather old. Time for the hotel to make a refresh of the gym? The beach is rather rocky and stony right outside the hotel. This was the only thing better in some of the other 5 star hotels.
Beautiful place and resort Amazing pool and very nice beach Great location on the island
Too much stag comparing to number of clients Wifi is poor and you have to reconnect each time Restaurant: not souch choice and quite expensive comparing to others resort of this quality
Everything including the peopele and the island itself. Very hard to find fault
Cant think of anything
Everything! Staff here are very friendly and attentive, the pool is beautiful and very relaxing and the gym facilities are not bad either. Breakfast had a lot of choice. The rooms were lovely and most had nice views of the ocean or large pond in the grounds. It is located a bit out of the centre of Koh Lanta so i would recommend hiring a motorbike, which we did for a very cheap price from the hotel, and then you can explore the island properly.
absolutely everything. perfect services, friendly staff, location, beach, pool, rooms, restaurant. this was just FABULOUS stay. would highly recommend also for families
wifi access is weak, but that's the problem of the whole thailand
Beautiful swimming pool! Moskito repellent has ben provided by the hotel. Nicely landscaped garden. Very varied and nicely presented breakfast.
Wlan has been extremly unstable! Breakfast charge for 3yr old child has been steep at 325 thb! Swimming in the ocean during rainy season is not recommended.
Well maintained with good staff. Breakfast was good with a reasonable assortment. Coffee wasn't too bad. I didn't stay on the hill top but think it would be a long and difficult walk trade off would be great views.
Gym equipment is seriously outdated. rusty and otherwise lets down a very nice hotel.
The place is really beautiful and peaceful. There is a selection of pools and the staff is super friendly. We had a great service at the pool !
The bed was a little too hard for my choice. They should sent out a little checkin requirements email. I was booking for a big group and they needed emails for all people. That had not been a problem had I known it before!
This is a great hotel with amazing pool and luxury rooms! We stayed three nights before they closed for the low season and there were only 7 guests which was fantastic! The beach is nice although there was no jetty due to the currents but I understand this is always available in high season. Would definitely recommend this hotel and Koh Lanta in general as a holiday destination, just beautiful.
This is a paradise! Set on a beautifully landscaped hillside, the villas of the Rawi Warin slope down to a delightful beach. The infinity pool has a glorious view of the sunset and is ozone treated. There is a table tennis area, children's play area and a lap pool for the serious swimmer. There is a wonderful breakfast area plus a restaurant and bar. Motor cycles and push bikes are available for a modest fee and the accommodating staff will be happy to set up day trips and airport transfers.
What could be a problem for some is the amount of hill walking and stair climbing involved for some of the rooms and villas. The resort offers a golf cart pick up for those who require it - however there are no elevators for those who have trouble with stairs.
I liked everything there.
We had a booked for a private pool villa, the view of the sea was amazing.
The hotel, had quite some facilities, from a private movie theater to a library to tennis courts, swimming pool, bicycle rentals etc. My partner and I had a private villa with a private pool and a living room well equipped with a great sound system and a DVD player. The staff who showed us to our room advised that we could borrow some DVDs from the library, but turns out that it wasnt true and there were no CDs/DVDs or what-so-ever for rental. Hence, making the stunning sound system as complete as it can be only an ornament. The service provided by the staff was however, a great disappointment. I requested a late check out from a receptionist, Rich, for a 3pm checkout. He advised me that it was okay and that he would make the necessary arrangements. I returned at 1pm the following day but to my dismay, after having been soaked in sweat and dirt after Kayaking through the caves, I was unable to access my room with my own card. So yes,we were practically locked out of our own room without help as the club car had driven away. We decided to seek help from the neighbours, and were lucky to find the housekeeper next door who extended help in opening our room door. However, the next unfortunate event occured. After packing our bags and getting ready for one last hot shower in the room before heading to the airport, we realized that- the shower facilities werent working. To make matters worse, there was totally NO water coming from any taps in the room. I called to the receptionist and they told me to wait for 10 minutes before they sent anyone here. By 1.20pm, no one came and I called again. Time and again, they told me to wait for ten minutes. "Ten minutes ago you told me to wait for ten minutes" She replied, please wait ten minute "But i got to rush to the airport, Sa-na-bin, Airport", i tried explaining in the littlest thai that I knew. She repeated, "please wait ten minute".
