The room - the staff and the pool
it was all good
Everything, except location. Pool was fantastic. Breakfast was a very welcomed surprise, American style.
Location was very isolated. Not much nearby.
The villa is newly built and comfortable. The place is very quiet and the swimming pool very nice. The staff is always available.
It is a little bit far from Chiang Mai city center and the included taxi is only at 18:30 one way. The other included taxi is at 13:30 to the department store. Anyway taxis in Thailand aren't very expensive (200 bat from the hotel to the city center)
The Room was Large and the Staff was very friendly went out of their way to assist with any problems or issues.
Rawisara Villa Resort was to far from the City had to take a taxi 200 Baht each way to visit the malls, limited items for breakfast no Thai items for my girlfriend, and Rawisara stated on the website cross to city center need to be truthful on website. Going to the Rawisara from the airport at night was like traveling down deserted streets no shops or 7/11 close for shopping.
I loved the environment. It was so tranqiilizing and quiet The resort is tucked away from business if the city. Staff was very helpful and the breakfast was great.
I wish all the staff could speak little bit more English. The guy at the reception always gave us wrong information The place was hard to find Taxi drivers did not know the location. All the time we were lost. Hence it is better to have sign post of the resort
Welcoming people, big en Clean room, Nice pool, quiet place, Great breakfast
Very helpful and polite staff. Great swimming pool. Our room was huge and very clean and modern. Booking trips with the hotel was very easy and even possible with short notice. Free pickup at the hotel.
It is a bit outside Chiang Mai city center, så you need to take a taxi to go there (200 THB - 10-15 min drive).
The swimming pool was great
We drove to hotel and it was difficult to find
Everything from the breakfast w/ fantastic coffee, the helpfulness of everyone, the pool, the room, how quiet and peaceful it was, the sounds of the village, the frogs and the cicadas, the reflections in the pool under a full moon, the wat next door and the sounds of the monks, the charming village w/ tiny stores, great massage, the loveliness of not being directly in the city yet only 15 minutes away from the old town. It could not have been better!
No wine available.
- Extremely friendly and nice staff (the hotel is a family business and not run by a large tourist company) - Nice swimming pool - Very nice atmosphere and calm location (very good if you like to avoid traffic and night-life noise) - tasty and very fresh breakfast - cheap but very tasty dinner offers (not fancy) compared to typical dinners at this kind of high-class hotels
- The downside of the calm location is the distance to the Chang Mai city center (15 minutes taxi drive, costing each time 200 THB). For the same price you get a taxi ride to the airport (ca. 20 minutes) - We had a small gecko visiting our room (however, we learned they are absolutely harmless and we made the same experience also in other thai hotels)
The staff were very helpful, the breakfast was big and tasty and the room was clean and comfortable.
The location a little out of the city means organising transport every day, but the quiet suburb feel of the area is relaxing.
This place is a tiny piece of perfection. From the entrance to the pool, to the room. I stayed with my girlfriend for 3 days and it was perfect.
Its a little bit hard to find even for taxi drivers so try to remember sort of where it is.
This was a beautiful hotel with a cheerfully helpful staff. The rooms were sparkling clean, the layout was nice (the saltwater pool was wonderful!), and the breakfasts were above-average. Bonus: virtually no bugs in the room :)
The location. It didn't bother us so much because we were picked up for tours for the two days we stayed at Rawisara, but the hotel appears to be a long way from the main Chiang Mai action. We got massages "in town" one night and would normally have received free transportation back to our hotel, but Rawisara is so far out that we ended up having to pay $10 for the ride. One other thing - Rawisara is located near a temple, so in the morning you hear a loudspeaker with the "King song" (as I call it) playing - we were up so not bothered, but it could wake you up, I think. Also, the night we arrived there was a carnival of some sort taking place right outside the hotel with thumping, throbbing music obnoxiously audible in the room until after 9:00 pm. Certainly not the hotel's fault, but I guess my point is that the location of the hotel may make it more noisy than other hotels.
I longed for a bit of peace & quietness after a week in Ciang Mai and I found it here.
the settings of the grounds and pool are lovely, spent a lot of time in the pool. the staff are friendly and helpful, especially when booking tours etc. the bikes that are available for guests allow you to explore the sights and smells of the local area(taxis needed to venture any further )
This hotel is booked by my son before my journey. First of all, the price has caught my eyes and after staying there I found it is worth to pay for it. 5 star for the cleanliness. Also, the staff here are willing and patient to answer your question, so nice! Hope I will be there soon.
The distance is quite far from the Downtown but it doesn't matter.
It is was far away from the city center so it is relaxing (if it is what you are looking for, then book it). Housekeeping staff did an amazing job ! The salted swimming pool is very after a long day visiting around.
The resort was opened 8/9 months ago, so the training of the staff is a big drop from the overall experience. The breakfast is nice, but lunch and diner are not to recommend as they are buying food from outside (not staff in the kitchen).
The suite we had was very large, spotlessly clean and perfect for a family. Pool was also lovely.
The resort is situated quite a long way from Chiang Mai centre and most tuk tuk drivers struggle to find it!
Everything: the place, the pool, the room, the staff (amazing, amazing people - will go out of their way to help out)
location is not ideal, but just give the taxi/tuk tuk driver the name of the temple right next to the hotel and it'll make it much easier to get there
The villa was huge for our family of 4. The pool was very nice.
Not a lot of options for dinner outside the resort and in the resort the menu is a bit limited but still ok
Rawisara was a small, quiet complex so had more of the personal touch rather than being yet another guest. It is situated slightly outside of the city of Chiang Mai so you could chose to engage with a short drive into the city, or have your personal space and relax by the pool. It was also well placed for going to the craft outlets.
The place in was good
Very far from city Was no electric for more than 5 hrs Not recommend in general
Loved the salty swimming pool, beautiful spacious villas and extra large bathroom, and the quiet restful atmosphere
Outside deck chairs quite hard Were quite removed from city which was a blessing but not easy to pop in Check last transfer price before transferring, we got caught out
Staff are trying their best to serve guests. Family-operated beautiful boutique hotel.
No gym and the restaurant's menu is limited.
