Great little hotel.
Convenient location - it is about 5-10min from the beach - depends on how you walk, with a motorbike probably 2 min.
We did not want to stay in a beach hotel, because we wanted a quiet place to sleep, and this hotel delivered.
We had a room on the 3rd floor, facing the back garden and the swimming pool, quiet and nice, with tropical birds singing.
The swimming pool is shared with the hotel next door, for free, but it was not busy at all, every afternoon we were alone in it, I guess the other guests went in different times.
The couple that manages the hotel is great, we had early check-in and late-check out with no problem, they helped us get a taxi for the airport when we left, gave tips and advices on things to see and places to go, help with renting motorbikes, or borrowing an iron , electric kettle or an extra bed cover. There were beach mats and towels available, beach umbrellas or rain ponchos and rain umbrellas too.
Wi-Fi was strong and good, and free.
The fridge in the room is big enough and cools things quickly.
The A/C works well and it is not pointed at the bed, so we could leave it on all night.
There was hot water in the shower anytime we wanted.
The breakfast was good, tasty omelet and the best coffee in all Kamala, seriously.
There is a restaurant 1 min away with good food, and many others few minutes walk away, fruit stalls, and the rest of the village - souvenir shops, cafés, bars, tailors, big supermarket Big C, 7-11s, massages...
The beach is 2km long and not very popular, which was perfect - no crowds, enough place to put your mat and towel under the palm trees (so you don't need to rent an umbrella) and enough space to run around or swim in the sea.
We wanted a relaxed tropical island holiday, and we got it. The service in this hotel played a major part in it.
