One member of staff v helpful Leaving and finding infinitely better hotel 5 mins away for about same price (paradiso on Soi 10)
Manager v blunt and unfriendly rooms - decor, cleanliness, stained sheets, limp shower, only one socket, general chaos at front desk, no bar or cafe.....
handy location ,quiet street, friendly staff ,comfortable bed
the pool was empty
Staff as usual was excellent.
Major repairs are needed. Pool not operating. Breakfast was at best poor. Bath tubs need replacing. Lighting in rooms not maintained. Many bulbs burned out or fixtures not functioning. Cable TV needs American channels as most hotels provide. I understand that renovations are in process.
Nothing , no swimming pool as advertised
service : people doesnt speck good english , tutuk driver not always stand by ,
Excellent value for $ Great location close to overhead railway line Close to MBK mall
only quiet location
there are tow women on fornt desk . Thery are so kind and friendly. The hotel said there is swiming pool but when i go to see it.. I didnt see the water only the place of pool. Also i think the deprtment all indian .. They dont car about clean place.
I like its location
-Many insects in the room - Not clean - lights in the room is not enough.
Comfortable, quiet and away from the busy main road. We enjoyed our stay here, comfy bed, decent air con and a nice powerful shower too. Located in good area of Bangkok (Sukhumvit)
It's an old hotel so it's a little worn out. Also it's quite a walk from the main road but you can get a free tuktuk there, although it often wasn't available.
the price was good and the staff were friendly.close to the skytrain .plenty of cupboards
getting out of bed
Old hotel in a quiet location and quiet rooms, spacious and comfortable with good WiFi connection. A peaceful atmosphere with free tuk-tuk to and from hotel to main road, although one can walk in 10 minutes. Good value for the money I paid at the time.
Clean room and bed. Staff is alright. Free tuktuk ride to main road helps. Tolerable if you are staying alone and need a value price Location is somewhat good (nearby NANA BTS station. 10 minutes train to Siam and just one station away from Asok. These were my main travel destinations).
My room had some facilities that did not work. One of the electricity outlets did not work (had to boil water in the toilet). TV remote control did not work (had to manually adjust through over 70 channels). Had a bath tub but no sink hole cover (so basically it was useless). Aircon was fair to use but a bit noisy sometimes. I'm not a fussy traveler so I could still tolerate these. Also, it was a fair walk from the main road to the hotel. Hotel was really at the end of Soi 8 road. (unfortunately we did not know how to call the tuktuk driver/hotel to pick us up from main road to hotel so we had to walk the 10 mins or so everytime we went back)
Great location just off main road. Price is great!
Good Suhkimvit location. Free tuk tuk to Suhkimvit
No Hot Water. Dirty Bathroom Dirty Fabrics Stained Furniture Mold and Fungus in Bathtub Credit Card charged for entire stay before arrival... even though the booking was pay on arrival.
This is an old style Thai hotel, which means that things may be broken, but the staff is very helpful and will find a solution as long as you stay friendly yourself. (this is Thai culture, when in Thailand, do as the Thai) For a very reasonable price you stay in a quiet area of the most interesting quarter of the center of Bangkok, rooms are equipped with a good hot shower, a good bed, fridge, airco and a safety deposit box. Check out is at 14:00 which is conventient if you have a late flight.
The free tuktuk service to Sukhumvit rd is often not available.
Absence of restaurant, Long response time of staff
Friendly staff great location cheap big comfortable bed
dirty shower room towels not changed everyday bed not made up everyday thai only tv channels gloomy low lighting
free transport by the security guard from end of Soi 8 into main road
Wi Fi connection wasn't great when inside the bedroom
Quit area Close to Sky Train Only 21 km from the airport Big rooms and lovely beds.
It was located in the general area of the Suhkumvit but a fair walk to any locations.
Advertised that it had a pool, restuarant and bar. NONE were open! No discount! Hotel wanted me to pay for all 15 nights I booked for in advance (unheard of). I stayed 9 nights instead. Then I was told I would be charged for an extra night because I had to pay a "penalty" because I "canceled" the reservation. In all my years of traveling this was the worst customer service I have ever encountered! Period!!!
Water heater never worked. Always bathed in cold water Hotel lobby looked horrible and cluttered with used parts. Hotel staircase was filled with used stuff. Door key always had problem to open. Taxi did use meter to go to airport and charged 650 baht. Toilet got blocked every other day even though it was reapired. Aircon was leaking. TV remote was not working. Safe deposit box in the room did not work and had to be fixed. One of the drivers for Tuk Tuk free shuttle never smiled and always moody even you greeted him. Hotel receptionist was very rude and said very loudly.
Location is far frm main road, tuk tuk not available all time not even ask if he see guest ...internet very poor and not even works properly...more tv channel requires
dirty I wouldn't even use the telephone filthy cold only shower air-con controls not working tuktuk 24/7 that's a joke midnight I was told wait 30mins driver taking a break???? this hotel is a joke nothing around I saw only 1 restaurant..1 seven they have notices on the lifts to say they are under-going refurbishment I never saw and the notices were old lets see if this goes to the main page?
I do think that this area is quite near to the night life area. It is seemingly to be in a safe surrounding.
One needs to walk to a fairly distant Nana BTS, despite the hotel management provides free 24/7 free shuttle. Both of our toilets for Presential Suite got block every other day. We got the feeling that the upkeeping maintenance seemed to be poor. Other factors that really put me off were; the reception lady was not very polite on the day we checked in at around 10p.m and one of the drivers who ferried us to/fro Nana BTS was not cheerful at all time eventhough we said thank you and other greetings. The hotel lobby was not well decorated and we saw couple of faulty instant water heaters were laying around, and the small pub did not seem to function as one. TV in the room did not work very well while the aircon seemed to be ON at all times- hardly seemed to work with preset temperature.
