Fantastic accomodation, the pools were lovely as were the reception staff!

The spa is incredibly overpriced which was a massive disappointment. That said there are plenty of places on the beach that charge 1/3 of the price so all was lost! Also it was one of our birthdays so we asked in the bakery for a birthday cake but they refused to help and actually laughed us out of the bakery.

the close proximity to the beach and to saladan. the excellent assistance by the resort and staff in providing free transport to the hospital for our 3 yr old granddaughter was appreciated and beyond expectations. definitely would return. liked it all ....breakfast, pool, wifi, other meals etc

Loved the setting and the burres. The swimming pools were fantastic our grandchildren spent ours in them as they also did on the beachmaking sandcastles. The reception staff were always helpful, the cleaning staff did a very good job. We just loved it so a big thank you Erica and Colin Cartwright

Fantastic for family with children. Two large pools with plenty of beds. The beach is just a few steps from the resort. The beach is perfect for children to play. The location is perfect: on the beachside you can walk to many restaurants, minimarkets and massage places. Many restaurants have a little slide or swing for children to play while you're eating. You're very close to the main road where you also find restaurants and 7-eleven. From the hotel you can take a tuk-tuk for a 5 minute drive to town where there is a (tourist) market, shops and many good (fish) restaurants.

The whole resort, including the rooms could use some maintenance. The rooms are large but not very modern at all. For the money you pay, you may expect a bit more comfort.

the bungalows were lovely, it was right on the beach which was really nice. there is a pool and loungers if you dont want to sit on the beach. the resort was beautiful.

we asked for an extra bed in our room and paid quite a bit for this and it was a really pathetic little put up bed. not really acceptable. the cafe had smoothies but most of the places on koh lanta have amazing fresh fruit smoothies. the cafe had none of these. they were all made from fruit juice concentrates and icecream and werent very good. the staff werent very friendly compared to resorts we stayed in on other islands.

Good Location. The reception and the restaurant nere the beach seems very nice when you're passing by. But that's just a "shell"....

No 4star hotel! Our room was nice, but the shower and the toilet was a disaster for a 4star hotel and the price. It kind of feels like you live in the djungel, many animals and very dark in the evening, no good light in the garden. We booked 4nights at this hotel. But stayed only 1night. It was to expensive compared to the standard.

The position is perfect only 5 minutes from Saladan ferry terminal and right in the middle of the bay and on the beach...doesn't get any better. Grest hotel with fabulous gardens and grest manager and staff. I resl gem...best hotel on Lanta.

Nothing to dislike!! Perfect holday hotel.

Loved this hotel right from moment I stepped foot in it. Staff were efficient and curtious, The hotel has a beachside location and the choice of 2 pools one of which was quiet and used by couples the other is near a grassy area and good for children. The cafe is right next to one and they'll bring food out to you poolside. The bar staff at the beach bar very friendly, didn't use the restaurant as their is such a massive choice of local restaurants along beach seemed a shame to stay in, but if the breakfast is anything to go by I would shine it's excellent, Breakfast was plentifull and fresh.T.v had a few English channels if the sun gets to much and the rooms were kept spotless. Overall the place was excellent and would definatly stay again

If you chose the cheaper rooms like we did as was a bargain on Booking.com you can hear the adjoining rooms T.v but for the price we paid who cares!! Also the more expensive rooms are on their own so if your that fussy get them!

.....No service at the pool or beachside. You always had to walk around to find a waiter or go to the resturant bar to get a drink .......towels were old and tread-barren

Good location.

Investing in new sheets, bedding and towels would go a long way to freshen up the feel of the hotel and make it better value for money.

The location

Extremly disappointed by the quality, we had the suite, and it looked old, the further from the beach, toilet not working on arrival someone had to repair, blatts in the room. For the price paid this is really not worth it. Definitely should have taken the premium room

The service wasn't to the 4 star standard I have previously experienced. Staff weren't very helpful.

Fantastic location. Lovely swimming pools. Good room. Very relaxing.

Very nice rooms, the bathrooms are new. The resort doesn't have a lot of rooms, so it's not crowded. The beach is nice and OK for children or swimming, which is not the case for other parts of the island. The breakfast is buffet and quite OK.

Hotel staff is young and has no information. Room smelled of humidity, perhaps because there was a lot of rain. Prices at the spa are ridiculously high.

The pool was really nice and clean, with great view. The menu is rich and the food is tasty.

The restuarant prices were high. Our room was located near electrical wires that made some noise. The service in the restuarant was slow and unfriendly. They don't give you always what you ordered. The restaurant closes very early at 8:20 in green season) The staff was not keen to help fix elementary problems in the room (Toilet plugged). The WiFi has not worked anywhere besides the lobby which there it was of poor quality. The beach was filthy and the area near the beach looked like a construction site. The fitness room promised was a small damp and uninviting space. It contained about 5 machines that were rusty and old. Their rooms are twin bed and if you wanted a double bed they would just join them together, what would cause the mosquitos net to not strech properly. The room didn't include a safety deposit box so we had to take our valueables everywhere we went. The hotel, like many others in the area is located a 7 minutes walk to the main street (At night there are lighting problems so walking there in the dark could be a bit scary; we've seen a snake there). So, in order to get to places you have to rent a motorbike.

Beach front resort. Convenient. Close to downtown. Clean. Amazing pool. Spacious bungalows. Good quality. Great island to have fun and discover beautifull beaches, Easy to rent and ride bikes.

Beach very dirty. Thailand should take care of their natural resources otherwise tourism will stop.

very clean and very comfortable room/ bungalow. a big swimmingpool in front and a smaller one on the back/ beachsite. breakfast was good, with view to the beach. staff was very friendly and helpful!

Royal Lanta Resort was lovely. We stayed there for 6 nights with three small children and because it was low season, felt we were the only guests there. It is a great central location to restaurants, beautiful pools, a luxurious spa and a breathtaking beach. Breakfast was great. The staff were very accommodating. Royal lanta is a classy resort, there are no beach bungalows here and the grounds are immaculate.

It was too quiet for us, really suited for honeymooners. I missed the beach bungalow feel but that's just me.

Excellent facilities and location,staff were brilliant,even giving me and my friend a lift to and from the Irish embassy bar which was a 10 minute ride on the bike.Would highly recommend this hotel.

Swimming pools, the very good breakfast, nice furnished (Thai style) bungalows with wooden furniture, 2 swimming pools with no limit of time, close to the beach, very friendly staff, good service. Every thing is ok except equipment of fitness. Mostly equipments are broken but it's cleaned and new towels & fresh water every day. Trzeba liczyc sie z komarami, silownia z zepsutym sprzetem, poza tym wszystko super!

Die Anlage ist wunderschön angelegt und von Außen sehr gepflegt, in der Natur eingebettet. Ausflugsmöglichkeiten, wie Bootstouren sind gut möglich, das Personal an der Rezeption ist hilfsbereit und freundlich.

Abgewohnte Bungalows, außer im Frontdesk kein oder nur schlecht englisch sprechendes Personal, teilweise unfreundlich und ignorant, mit Ausnahme der Putzfrauen. Der Strand ist sehr dreckig und voller Müll. Handtücher und Bettwäsche gleichen eher Putzlappen. Insgesamt würden wir die Anlage von den ausgewiesenen Sternen her nicht weiter empfehlen und ist somit überteuert.
