FX Hotel Royal Panerai    

Rooms are spacious, very comfortable and well equiped. Very helpful staff. Seems like theft to only pay 499bht a night.

Nothing realy I wish they offered the option of weekly or monthly rates.

My wife is 100% satisfied with the performance of the hotel. It is a standard 3-star hotel located on the corner of the old city. 1. Nice staff, including the very expressing staff of travel agency in the lobby.. 2. Good location and can be found easily when we drive the rented motorcycle. 3. Room with a balcony. 4. Good price, the last but probably the most important

The room is a little old but acceptable considering the very competitive price.

The room was spacious, clean and bright. If you want to use a pool or the gym you can use the other fx hotel, 2 mitutes away. When booking tours, the staff were very informative and helpful.

The hotel is not located in the main area, need a tuk tuk to make the journey.

Good location of the hotel in the Chiang Mai town. Tourist agency at the hotel offers many activities in competitive prices (we compared prices with other agencies in the town and always came back to hotel's agency to order).

Staff poorly speak in english (as in the most of the Thai's hotels).

hotel lacks a gym or swimming pool a sister hotel 2 mins walk has it for your use but the staff don't tell u, found out 4 days into our stay.

Extra high charges for "late" checkout (300 Bath for 2 extra hours.....),Shower drain blocked, slippery floor in bathroom.

Room was dark, hardly any natural light, the air-conditioner was noisy and struggled to cool the room. The Wifi internet was unavailable for the majority of my stay which was frustrating

The swimming pool at the other FX hotel down the street was great. Room was big and comfortable.

No breakfast or even beers available to purchase at the hotel which considering the hotel size isn't great. So on a search close to hotel for breakfast at 7 given we were booked on a tour at 8 didn't find anything open. Staff not the most helpful. We asked for a late checkout as we were on the overnight train we had to pay 1/2 the room rate for 4 hours.

Near city centre

No restaurant fascility.

Nice clean good size room and comfortable bed.

No extra facilities, eg no pool and restaurant not open. A bit of a walk from main attractions, especially if travelling in hot season.

The hotel was reasonably modern and good value. Untill they would not rearrange my booking that was made in error.

My problem with the hotel was that hotel management policy was totaly unbending or comprising and to that end the staff were trained that they could not assist their customers in any way. I had booked for 4 nights. I imagine they have a lot of bookings for 1 night and charge the same night rate. When I asked to only stay 3 nights because of my error in using other hotel key boards to book, because 25 per cent of the keys are worn to being unreadible. Regrettably the staff were so well trained that they were right and I would have to pay for the extra night, that their youth took over and they thought it was funny and they laughed at me in a small way. Regrettably the hotel policy is that they are always right and not the customer. I am sure they have many customers who only stay 1 night and the hotel policy did not respect some one who wanted to stay 3. in my business the customer is all was right so long as I do not continue to loose money on that customer. Your ability to re negoiate on my behalf was not advised till 9.30 am , which I read at 11am. By then I had made a decision the previous night to use the 4th night that I was not to be refunded and it was too late for me to re arrange again. Thank you for your efforts. Regards warren.

The location was good, just outside the ring road that goes around the whole of Chiang Mai inner city area and close to the Night Bazaar area. Double room was clean with all amenities in good working order. Considering the price of the room its alot better then staying at a guesthouse or resort type place as this is a proper hotel.

There wasnt anything in particular that I didnt like. Im sure a fussier person would have found some faults but if so then only very minor ones id guess.

If we wouldn't have asked, they wouldn't have told us that we can use the swimmingpool and the gym at FX Hotel Peninsula.

Room was big with all amenities, clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful,.excellent value for money

We were on level 5 near the lift which was quite noisey through the night, and the walls were very thin
