The hotel is located around happening area. Right in front of gay pubs. If you like to see boys dancing it is the right location. Anyway, other discos like tai pan is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Swimming pool is good. Break fast is good. You can also find local food around. Try to stay in royal wing. Price is a little difference but room condition much better, worth upgrading.

Great location for shopping and eating. the hotel looks very old and everything needs money like wifi and transportation to airport. It is not worth to spend over us dollars $80 per night.

Although not at the beach front, it is easy to get to the beach with tuk-tuk or taxi and walking is only 15-20 mins. But ideal location for bars and shopping. Royal Wing has lovely rooms. Will definitely stay here again. Pool is overcrowded and I was there in low-season!

I liked the location! About five minutes to Jung Ceylon and Bangla road.! The worst thing was that they charged for guests at the room! 1000 bat. And the internet cost about 300 bat per hour. Very expensive

The location was near all pubs and restaurant and beside the main street of patong beach. We stayed there 4 nights and I couldn't sleep 3 nights because the rooms are located near some pubs with lot of noise from 10:30 pm to 6:00 am. If you have a day trip next day you want to sleep well the night before.

The hotel is beautiful. We stayed in the Royal Wing, which don't have the sea views but makes up by having larger rooms that are newer than the Paradise wing rooms. The balcony of the room overlooks the swimming pool and could stand there an watch the sunrise over the mountains. Me and my wife enjoyed our stay as the location is wonderful. Their hourly service to the Patong beach did help out, although its only short stroll. The downside would be the hotel being located in Phuket's red light district. The rooms in the Royal Wing would be discouraged to anyone that is a light sleeper as the clubs and pubs do tend to be loud.

This hotel is situated 10 minutes of walk from the main beach entrance, a few minutes from the main shopping/clubbing street of Patong Beach. There are some exceptionally good restaurants in its vicinity that serve cheap Thai cuisine. The hotel itself is old, and it shows in the room's design (it is not bad, just out of date). The food served for breakfast is good, you can choose from Thai cuisine, "continental" breakfast, halal and vegetarian. Room's equipment is rather basic - not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Also - internet access was not free for me, and the rate for using it was just exaggerated.

We stayed in this hotel in September 2011, and were really pleased. Room was nice & clean, maid service was efficient, staff were friendly. The breakfast buffet was okay, with a good variety. We loved the pool, which was never too busy. The location is good as well, 5 mins to all the night life, 10 mins to the beach. All in all, good value for money, would return! I felt the internet was over priced. However there are many bars in Patong that offer free Wi-fi to customers.

This hotel was extremely classy. Very good value for your money. The rooms were fabulous, and the staff were very professional and helpful. It is in a good location close to excellent shopping and great restaurants. I would definately recommend this hotel to everyone, especially those who are travelling on a budget. The only thing I could think of that I didnt exactly care for with this hotel was the view of the street from the door and hallway of our room. That is very minor though because the rest of the hotel makes up for that.

I have chosen this hotel due to it's locality, convenience & accessibility Hotel staffs are ridiculous under trained. On my first night during bedtime the power circuit suddenly blown off in my entire room, technicians were called but can't repair hence we were asked to pack, shift & change room. Nothing was compensated for the inconveniences even though I asked for free breakfast. On my last day, we went for breakfast and I told the waiter I am paying since my booking come w/o b'fast. While I was queuing for my food among the crowd, the same waiter came up to tell me I Can't eat!! Coz my booking doesnt incl b'fast... I was taken aback of what he'd said feeling so embarrassed & insulted. He simply doesn't understand that I've said I will pay. The staff are too complacent & biased. Lack of flexibility and service as a hotel basic standard. I would never stay nor recommend this hotel coz there are so many hospitality hotels around.

I didn't like much about this hotel, the shower was an ok temp one minute and the next it was boiling hot, I complained about it and they Came to look at it did nothing and said it would be ok, which it wasn'T. The tv sound was broken again I complained and nothing was done. We ordered room service, it arrived cold and tasted horrid and greasy. The hotel is dated I read the reviews and it said to stay in the royal wing which I did and wasn't impressed, god know what the other wing is like. The whole hotel smelt musty, the only good thing about this was the piña colada served in a pinapple at the pool bar. If your not interested in being in the heart of the nightlife go out of town 2/3 miles and get a taxi in, you will be pleased you did.

I liked that it was a big hotel and in a good location if you are young and looking to go out. The rooms were clean as well. The lobby smelled really bad. We tried to go to a restaurant within the hotel one night and when we walked in there was no one there- working or eating even though it said it was open. Staff barely speaks English. The tv set in the standard room is tiny and and some of the channels we not working and the color wold change to black and white all the time.
