Nothing ! It was a very dated hotel , unlike it's description on the internet. The room was very poorly furnished with old fittings and facilities and actually i would describe as '' scruffily shoddy '' !

We arrived at the hotel at around 7.30 in the morning and since we were a family with three kids the hotel staff was good enough to give us the room immidiately not making us wait till the check in time..thank you we appreciate that. The pictures that we saw of hotel on the internet the hotel was not upto that standard the rooms were old and were not that clean the carpet had a wired smell.

Its location is close enough to the malls and train station, yet quiet enough as it's not located directly along the main road. Breakfast was substantial enough and they had hot and cold items. The staff was helpful in providing information and booking a taxi to the airport. If you book a family room for 4, this building is across the road and separate from the building where you have your breakfast.

Evening check-out was negotiated for a half-day rate to suit our late night flight ex bkk. Despite clealy booking for 4 people several weeks ahead, a 4th bed had to be added to the suite after we checked in. The accommodation was 100m from the main hotel in a separate building. This was highly dysfunctional when it was raining and we needed to get to reception.

Location, good price, shutter service (though not that necessary as it is walkable to BTS). Breakfast is superb - the chef changes a few dishes every breakfast. Pls not - your website says 2 singles , 1 double but room has a double (queen) and 1 single (super). The hotels gives a single bed FOC but guest may not know. May be good you state that in your website. All in all, thanks. We had a great time and being at RPH was definitely part of it. I do have some reservations about going back or recommending RPH to my friends for these reasons : 1. The air-con broke down, some lights were not working and the water went from warm to cold (on the last day). 2. The receptionists were very courteous and helpful but not knowledgable about Bangkok to give useful advise to visitors to Bangkok. 3. We could not get our Iphones to work throughout out 3 days at th hotel. We were given new pass-words for 2 days. It was only on the last day, when my friend went to ask at the reception that we were told the Wifi could not work on iphones at your hotel. This has wasted alot of time waiting and failing to get in contact with people overseas. It could have been avioded if we were told from the start. Having said all that, I will still consider returning to your hotel in future (i would travel to Bangkok 2-3 times a year with different friends). I have given these feedback for general improvement.

Located in a quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle but yet close enough to the street shopping and many other shopping malls. Very quiet location. The room didnt have any pc's to get on internet although the site advertised internet facilities. Apparently this was only provided to those with a lap top.

The breakfast was pretty good. We stayed at the Royal President for two nights. They have 2 different sections at this hotel, and the section we stayed at was like a 2* hotel or worse. They are going under some severe renovations and unfortunately the room they gave us was at this section. We wrote a complaint at the hotel and they told us that the manager would write us back. It has been almost 3 weeks since we stayed there and no one has written us. We booked at this hotel since we thought that it was a 4 * hotel. The manager of the hotel will assure you that this is true as the other isle of the hotel has a 4 or a 5 * category but not our wing of the hotel. It is not admissible that they offer these type of rooms though booking without explaining that the room conditions are like a 2* hotel. We have stayed in many hotels before and no hotel has charged us at the moment we checked in. After our complaint we though that this was a strategy just in case we told them that we did not want to stay any longer in the hotel as a way to charge us at least for one night or to force us to upgrade rooms paying the extra fee. We have been travelling thought Asia and this was by far our worse experience. The carpet was dirty, the AC was extremely noisy and we had to turn it off at night since it was so loud, bathrooms old and dirty, the shower curtain was rotten and in general it really need some severe renovation. We travelled for business and definitely I would never recommend to anyone to stay in this side of the hotel. I cannot say anything of the other side as we never stayed. We complained at the recepcionist and she told us that they knew that the conditions of the room where in that poor situation. She also told us that they receive many complaints for the situation of the rooms and that we should have told them before as they could have upgrade us to a different room paying the extra charge.

The hotel had such a "old" feeling...the linen, the room, the bath...was just too old looking. It was not dirty, but not what you would expect of a so called 4 star property. I was disappointed

Lived in diffrent types of rooms. Some are clean and comfortable, we can have a good rest after shopping and sightseeing. It only take 7 minutes to walk from bts station or Soi15 to the hotel, this is convenient so we often walk back to the hotel instead of call them to pick up us. Multiple choices on breakfast buffet, you can eat well at morning. The hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. Lived in diffrent types of rooms. Some rooms' facilities maybe are old and not working well, such as airconditioner and cordless phone battery, but we didn't mind these, we just feel a little noisy of motorbike and tuk-tuk frequently passes the road outside the windows at late night.

Quiet surrounding as it is located short distance off the main street. Free tuk-tuk taxi shuttle service to main street and sky-train station was great. We like the big room size. Construction of a high rise building next door was noisy. Room needs renovation.

Good value for money, rooms are very large, and good location in city center. Only one reception, although they have have more than one wing. I had to walk around from reception to a different wing where my room was located.

“I was travelling with a mate and we booked a 2 bedroom suite on the 28th floor. Room was in perfect condition, very clean and with a nice view of the city. The staff was very helpfull in every regard. The best thing of all though was their evening buffet (served in weekends). I have never had a better buffet anywhere. All in all I have only positive things to say.” Magnus, Kbh S |
