Fruit, coffee and biscuits available on the house, arrangements made for us without a problem, very friendly reception staff.
Lots of stairs is a problem for heavy suitcases. We fortunately had strong youngsters with us.
Very helpful staff
a bit noisy and the breakfast has only salty options
Really friendly staff Bed was comfy Room was nicely appointed Location handy for night market and old town
Immediate location is kind of in amongst a market - it just feels a bit run down
The style, the free coffee and water
Steep stairs.. but its not an issue
Spacious, well decorated rooms Good wifi Nice staff Location at first seems kind of random but is actually pretty central to walk to the sights Great breakfast! Free drinking water fill up Free coffee tea and cookies 24/7 Guest fridge was great if you had leftovers Good local recommendations (go to street pizza!)
Bathroom very small (but well done) and one of them had a weird smell Limited English TV stations
We stayed in Rustic guesthouse for 4 nights during our stay in Chiang mai and loved every second of it. The rooms are nice and well kept, the staff is amazing and very helpful with anything you need and the location is amazing. It's located right next to three markets including the night market and it's a ten min walk to the old city. Highly recommended!!
Everything , also breakfast was pretty cool ,
Staff, service, cleanliness, comfort, common areas, rooms, wifi, proximity. This is a great place, and if you talk to the staff they go above and beyond expectations to make you feel at home and to help you out.
lots of stairs, taxis have a hard time finding initially. Make sure to get the phone # of the Rustic so that taxis can call and find out exactly where to take you. If you have knee problems the stairs can be a bit daunting.
We initially booked this place for one night, however we enjoyed our stay here with its friendly and helpful so much we extended our stay here by another five nights. The old town is a short walking distance away while a ten minute walk in the other direction takes you over the river to a good selection of riverside eating establishments
Every details of the room showed owner's the taste and his sincere to guests. Love the room design and every peace of decoration.
- The guest house was hidden among the wholesaler area. The surround area is a bit crowded. - Room is quite dark due to neighbor building blocked the sunlight
The staff treats you like friend or family, from an impromptu local market tour to letting my friend and me borrow their helmets. Facilities are great and in walking distance of old town.
Nothing. I would advise having their number or a map of their place on hand (they are good about emailing it), drivers have a hard time finding the place. If you have problems walking stairs you might have some difficulty.
Very nice staff, a lot of fun to chat with them. Were also able to help us when looking for stuff. Rooms were clean and very well-decorated Cozy atmosphere Breakfast was good All in all, we had a really great time!
Room slightly cramped, but not really a problem
The boss and waitress are so nice. This is a good place, next time in Chiang Mai, I will live here again.
staff very friendly and spoke English well
breakfast choice of 4 set dishes, bit boring
Splendid place, lovely staff!
Rustic Guest House is a cosy hideaway and great value for money. But best of all are the wonderful staff who are warm, friendly and extremely helpful. The owner Nick went out of his way to ensure that every request was met, as did the other staff. Thank you!
Owner Nick is a nice person! Wifi reception is really good, routers everywhere. Easy to get to know other travelers! I met a Japanese couple and a Chinese one, a nice trip to hang around with them. Effort seen in room decoration: Use of Samsung TV, nice floor coating, etc.
Friendly staff, good location for night market, good clean accommodation
The staff was very kind and polite. The room was clean and
The location is isolated from, not only tourist sites, but from restaurants and bars. Not convenient. We changed hotels for our final days visit.
The staff at rustic Guest House were wonderful. Nick was there to meet my mum and I and also took us to the local market, told us a bit of history and bought a local delicacy while there. Nothing was a problem for them, we did stay on the very top floor and my 65 year old mother made it quite easily, a little tired when we got to the top. We were made aware of our room situation before our booking was finalised in case it was a problem. The communication with Nick was priceless, a real help. Taxis/tuk tuks were arranged at great prices and the breakfast was yum. Close to local markets and sights.
We only got to stay one day, it would of been nice to stay a little longer to get into Nicks' head about more of the culture and customs of the local Thai area which he was keen to share.
Management and staff amazing. So helpful n welcoming. Very clean and comfortable and great location
Staff very helpful, location between night market and old city
climbing up to the 4th floor, showers were a bit cramped
Beautiful decor, great communal kitchenette. Staff spoke good English.
Bathroom facilities lacking- leaking toilet, not hot enough shower and one night of no water in my room.
The staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for you. The position was fantastic, we could walk everywhere.
The bathroom was a bit small and door not very private. No safe in the room.
very good value guest house with great really friendly and helpful staff..
bit difficult to find.
