Staff extremely helpful, patient, understanding and pleasant. The main pool (infinity) is great If you need to go to ko phangan you are at a walking distance (10 mins) from the pier where you can take the boat to get there. You can also ask the hotel to bring you there free of charge. Wooden floors are nice, exteriors are pretty good too. Very nice welcome at check-in... Nice beach..I really recommend this hotel!
Beware of the "grand pool villa", you actually get a kind of basin, not worth the upgrade. Either go the full way (most expensive villa to have the pool that looks like what the website advertises) or stick to the rooms. Buffet is large but the quality of the food is actually not good.
It was really quiet and Relaxing vacations. The W-Lan is free compared to the last visit a step in the right direction. Good Fitness Center with view over the sea. Deliciouse breakfast with a huge buffet. Spa personel very friendly and very good Treatments.
Half of the Resort was a building site (I guess this is why there was a Discount on the room charges) I would not call the sea site "a beach" you will need to find a nice beach somwhere else. High Prices for everything (compared to rest of Thailand) Get your Drinks and Food from a store Close to the Resort. Room (Grand Pool Villa) clean but old...
- location of the hotel is right on the beach - very quiet and peaceful area of the island - staff is always quick and responsive to any of your needs - bungalow that we were staying in was serviced twice a day to provide romantic atmosphere with fresh flowers, candles and aromas - hotel garden is taken care of by the staff frequently to make sure it supporting the positive atmosphere of the place
- I bet some chefs from near-by diners can easily beat the hotel kitchen in cooking battle
ROOMS WERE EXCELLENT STAFF WAS VERY HOSPITABLE
FOOD COULD BE BETTER DEVICES NEEDED TO BE GIVEN THE WIFI PASS CODE OVERTIME YOU LOG IN TO THE INTERNET. AND THE PASS WORDS OR USERNAMES WERE NOT FRIENDLY TO REMEMBER.
Great pool, nice stuff, big rooms. We spent 2 nights at this hotel. They upgrade our room to pool villa. The main pool very large ang wide and there are alot of sits. After 12:00 there is fun music. Breakfast is nice. Recommand to people that looking for quiet vacation.
The location is far from the main area, about 20 min by car. There are shattles from hotel but only at 10:00 and 16:00 and only one way. Taxi costs 500 bhat. In the area there are only few restaurants and supermarkets.
The cooking class they offered and cocktails were great at the pool side!
Just a local dog ate our thongs at our door, must admit we had quite a good laugh about it! But yes did have to buy new ones
very nice place to relax, to recharge teh batteries. Wellness is traditional with good quality. Would do this again, was a real treat.
very comfort, nice beach :)
The swimming pool
The hotel could use a renovation, our bathroom was pretty old and the room, though it was huge, looked a bit 'vintage' ;)
good restoraunt, nice beach
they've downgraded our room and no money back :(
Everything about the hotel. The room was huge and clean. The gardens were lush and perfectly maintained. The swimming pool was large with a beautiful view of the ocean and a nice swim up bar. Breakfast was good with a large selection of food.
Everything was amazing if you want to relax and enjoy go for it
Getting transportation is Hard
staff, service, location. the staff was amazing, offering great service making you feel like a king and excellent location. very good indeed!
Wi-Fi connection really slow // Air conditioned very noisy // in need of a lick of paint.
Big rooms ,great beach side pool and great friendly staff also it is away from busy party and traffic area ,unless you like that.
If you want to be near night life or big shopping stay in Bophut or Chaweng But if you like to Have noise and traffic stay in Maenam or Bang Pot Samui.
the beach had a nice view and that is about where it stopped
we were taken to our room and were immediately disappointed. The bed was very hard, the bathroom was very old and dirty- we found a dead spider in the bathtub, mold in the shower, and presumably feces smeared on the toilet paper dispenser. the pool was grimy and filled with leaves and sticks. there was no privacy whatsoever- our bedroom looked straight into the living room of our neighbors and our pool faced the bedroom of the villa next door. this was probably a nice resort 20-30 years ago but it is in serious need to an upgrade. definitely not worth the amount of money we paid for it so we decided to leave within one hour of arriving.
+ Free upgrade: We got a free upgrade (from hotel room to pool villa): well-maintained pool, cozy veranda, spacious rooms, bathroom with whirlpool and big shower + delicious breakfast: different sorts of fresh fruit, eggs are prepared according to your wishes, different sorts of juice, pancakes, Thai dishes etc. + infinity pool: lots of sunbeds, wonderful view, maintained very well + beach: wonderful spot to relax and swim, many sunbeds + staff: extremely helpful and friendly staff + location: we found nice restaurants (e.g. Luna hut restaurant) and everything we needed close by + diving school and Lomprayah boat to Ko Phangan close by + overall, we spent absolutely relaxing holidays at Samui Buri Beach
- the wild (but tame) dogs roaming the area of both the beach and the hotel were sometimes getting on our nerves - cleaning staff seemed overchallenged: we needed to phone the reception several times because things had been forgotten/ not changed (things were always done in the end, then) - my friend thinks that some pool villas might need some renovation (e.g. bathroom) - getting there and back: we flew to and from Surat Thani; we felt the staff at the reception couldn't help with organizing (taxi-bus-ferry- bus-combination-ticket)
Nice, clean beach with only a few people (no party beach!) Compared to other places in the 4-star segment good value for money Quite a good breakfast selection Very nice pool at the beach Huge villas (grand pool villa) Free WiFi
Staff sometimes a little bit unorganised and partly not English speaking Some refurbishment useful, but of course then also the prices per night would have to rise
I went with my boyfriend, it was a fantastic choice. The hotel itself is impressive, we had a first floor room with private pool access. In my opinion this is better than the villa with private pool as it seemed like the villa pool was extremely small and shallow and people walking by can see right into them. The food and cocktails at the hotel is good too. Staff service is slow, especially at the pool bar. Nearby location is pretty good, a number if good restaurants within a 5 minute stroll. Head in a taxi to fishermans village for more lovely bars and restaurants (5 min taxi ride). Ask the hotel staff for recommendations and they are happy to help and order you a taxi. Mosquitos were a problem, go to the local store and buy a plug in mosquito repellant, nothing can really be done about that. I would 100% go back to this hotel.
Bar staff at the pool bar are frustratingly slow. Sometimes the pool run out of towels towards 2pm.
Large and clean rooms with character, beautiful infinity pool, friendly helpful staff at reception
Aircon is very noisy (old); no palm trees and no shade left near the beach (in contrast to nice garden of the hotel and beach of the two neighbouring resorts); nice to have a bar in the pool but the music was exactly the same every hour; only tried the restaurant once: friendly staff but very greasy not tasty burgers
Quiet place, nice and unique beach, like swimming pool
Water in shower salted..
Close to the sea and possible to swim , nice architecture of hotel and landscape .
Air conditional is very noisy and impossible to use during night , without AC it was very hot . The hotel needs more cleaning. The hotel has a lot of mosquitoes that breed in stagnant dirty water in artificial ponds.
Nice pool, rooms are next to the beach (max. 3 min walk), lovely restaurants around the hotel (max. 15 walk)
Too high prices for drinks and food from restaurant and pool-bar, everyday we had around 5 dogs at the beach which were walking around, lying under chairs and anoying the people and the staff didn't take care that much, but the dogs were anxied and friendly
The beach is second to none here and very quiet. Perfect for young kids as the waves are pretty much non-existent. There is a gym, infinity pool with swim up bar, massages on the beach, wifi everywhere (including he beach!). In the restaurant they have nightly deals and themed nights not to mention love music one night too. Cookery classes (additional charge) are available and they have their own taxi (good price similar to local taxis) as well as an airport shuttle service. Free DVD and book library for guests. Happy hours on drinks. Rooms were huge and the staff very attentive to cleanliness, I feel I could have eaten off the floor! We requested mosquito nets and they were put up immediately with no charge.
Needs updating, breakfast is a rip off
comfortable rooms staff wonderful swimming pool clean beach
