We loved this hotel. We were only supposed to stay for two nights but kept going to other hotels and then leaving them to come back. The staff found this most amusing. The staff were great, the room was fab with air conditioning and confortable beds. The hotel is right on the beach but on the quieter side. Its far enough away from the centre to be quite but its only a short walk or tuk tuk drive to the lively centre. The pool was lovely. There are loads of places to eat right by the Hotel. We will be going back there next year.

Isn't so far from the beach and the quality/price in the restaurant are ok Isn't a 3* Hotel...maybe we can put 2*!!! The room wasn't so clean and I had to clean by myself the window, the bathroom...maybe I had a bad luck but the next time I will try one other 3* hotel or resort not so far away: cheaper and where the quality is higher

Our beach was perfect!!!! Just 1 minute walking from hotel, water is absolutely clean! There were not many people on the beach and always were empty sunbeds (for free, as towels). Breakfast was tasty, with different cousins. Close to Lamai and Chaveng. We recommend this hotel to everybody! Wifi only in lobby, but free

Our stay at Samui First House Hotel was lovley. I would rate the room we stayed in 10/10 and was pretty much perfect in all aspects, spacious, very clean, air conditioned and fantasically located. Me and my partner are travelling and wouldnt normally spend that much on a hotel,( worked out just over 20 english pounds ) but was completley worth it and treated it as a holiday, would definetley return and reccomend to all!! The only thing I would have neggative to say about Samui First House would be that I didn't expect to have to pay to use the gym and was not stated on booking advertisment site and the free wifi wasnt working very well throughout our stay, however we did not complain of this and if we had of done then Im certain that all efforts would have been made to correct this.

Thought the location was excellent at the end of Chaweng Beach with a peninsula separating it from the main beach - meant it was quiet at night but only took 10 minutes to walk to the main shopping area with plenty of restaurants etc. The beach itself was absolutely beautiful with coconut palms and other big trees giving much needed shade - something the main Chaweng beach appeared to lack. Enjoyed the beautiful pool also when we tired of the beach. The staff were attentive and we had the luxury of an upgrade to a deluxe room when we arrived, much appreciated. We certainly had a most relaxing holiday and would stay here again.

Quiet location near the beach and a short walk into the action if you wanted it. We were allocated a room in the old block on arrival which has an awful view of a run down building, the rooms were also a bit tired. When I spoke to reception though they moved us into the pool block into a much nicer room and we were quite happy to pay the extra £10/ day.

I liked the fact it was so close to the beach also the fact that they have thier own travel shop on site. one of the things that could have been better was the fact that for the first house guests there was not toilet on the beach. Guests staying in the bungalows where allright as they had thier own facilites on the spot.

The seaside and the location That's the 2nd time we come to this hotel but the last one. We were disappointed by the room, they gave us another one the next day but it wasn't much better. The price was interesting so we can't complain too much. The woman who rents the scooters is a thief and the manager is even worst. The first time they made us pay for a flat tire and this time for some scratches that weren't ours. If you rent a scooter be ready to pay more than the initial price!

I have been staying at the hotel before and I like it very much. Its perfect for a relaxing holiday and its lokated in a quiet part of Chaweng. Close to a private beach. There is coral sand that make its hard to get in or out of the water. Like quicksand. Little dangerous for older people.

Been to samui 5 times, Just back from a week long stay at Samui First House, location is great, at the south end of Chewang main street, walk to all but away from it ! breakfast is good, some rooms are updated some are not, the main bldg has the not so nice rooms, the other bldg has the nicer rooms, good ac, poor tv and channels, no elevator - 4 floors, best private like beach - rent scooter or book trips right there, paid 1750bht a night including the breakfast - good value for your money in Samui - needs to improve but I will be back ! No elevator, some rooms need to be updated ! tv is very old and very poor cable chanels

Det eneste jeg likte ved dette hotellet var stranden man disponerte. Vi hadde booket 5 netter, men rømte etter en. Styr unna denne! Stor takk til booking.com som hjalp oss å komme oss vekk derfra. Enkelt sagt. STYR UNNA!!

Do not stay at this hotel. We had a standard room (looked at a superior room, it was the same). It had no window. The view was into the bathroom. The window in the bathroom was looking onto a concrete wall. The room had an awful smell of mould. The tap to the hotwater was loose and didn´t work. We asked to change rooms but the staff was not intressted. The hallway to the room was pitch black with no daylight. It was like an undeground cellar. It was the worst hotel I ever stayd at. We booked 8 nights, styed for one. We foud a loveley hotel, for less money closer to town. It is half an hours walk into Chaweng. The beach was dirty and packed with people. We would not stay there even if they paid us.

Reasonably quiet at night, away from the noise in Chaweng Reception staff was unhelpful, the hotel didn't look like it did in the pictures. The room was on the ground floor and the back door didn't close properly, shower was weak in pressure, tv didn't work. The star rating of this hotel is definitely wrong. If you suffer from any respiratory ailments don't stay there full of humidity and fungus.

Location was great and breakfast buffet was really good. Reception staff were unhelpful and rude. When we asked for a map they didn't have one. When we asked advice on cooking schools she just said I don't know, and made no attempt to help us. Anytime we made payments or asked general questions we were met with blank looks, and one word answers. Obviously we were paying for location and not service. Also the hotel was infested with wasps in the hallways.

Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms medium standard, some a bit old fashioned. Good cleaning. If you only need the room for sleep and no internet, you can choose superior (and end up with no view except neighboors balcony). For internet accessable and a balcony with sunlight (or light at all) you may prefer deluxe room. Right on the outskirt of Chaweng, get into Chaweng for 100thb (or even less) with Songthaew for two pax. Good beach linked to hotel. Cheap food in the hotels restaurant (good food, but not gourmet standard). Satisfied with stay compared to money spent. Got superior room first, but payed thb400 extra per day and got a deluxe room (actually we got super deluxe for same price that was 2,5x bigger than superior). Breakfast was ok with egg station and some warm selections, but no cold cuts. Staff was attentive (so a plus).

Nice big rooms and beach is very close by, about 1 minute walk through resort and you are on chaweng noi beach. The location is too far away from central chaweng. We are young and have no problem walking to places but this was a good 30 minutes into the central area. We ended up getting a tuk tuk into chaweng central most evenings and hiring a motor bike to get around and into chaweng during the day. We stayed for 9 nights and found the cleaning not up to scratch. The surfaces were never wiped down and floors very poorly sweeped. We were there in Dec and the beach was extremely rough, red flags indicating 'not safe to swim' were up the entire time, saw people being knocked off their feet at ankle depth.

The staff were amazing!!!! My husband and I couldnt say enough good things. The food staff, the helpfulness, the courtesy, the housekeeping, everything was perfect. My husband used the gym which he enjoyed and the girls at reception could not do enough to ensure we had the best babymoon, which we did!!! We loved everything, nothing neg about the hotel.

Absolute brilliant place to stay in Samui! Have been here before. Nearer to centre of Chaweng you will be kept awake by the disco beats, but in First house, which is around 15 min walk to centre, it is quiet and a beautiful beach. Staff is so friendly, rooms are great, both standards and superior. I paid only 1000 bath and it is so worth it.
