The complimentary head and shoulders massages were a nice touch, the manager was excellent around the resort all the time not hiding in an office, the space in and around your room was amazing, the pool and the breakfast were brilliant The room could of been cleaner, it looked clean but when we moved furniture looking for a plug socket there was a lot of dust under every piece including the bed

This is our second stay in Saree. So, we choosed this hotel because last year it was excellent, but not this year. However, location is very good, and you can enjoy the silence. Big differences from last year: they don't change new bed every day, don't give you a new shower gel for every day. We bought a pool beach front villa, but I think it was something like outside villa. Breakfast have no difference from day to day, and if you go to eat at 10:00 (breakfast until 10:30), there will be no juices or croissaints. As i say, Saree is also one of the interesting hotels in Samui. But from year to year, quality is falling down.

We loved pretty much everything. Even the dogs at the beach - they are clean and friendly. Food is exellent. The only minus is that sea is not so clean because of the pier nearby. Me and my friend stepped into sticky black mazut on the beach.

The hotel is beautiful and has a very relaxed atmosphere. It was supposed to be fully booked, but it did not feel busy at all. The garden villa was very nice and spacious and we loved the garden with an outside bathroom and living area. The pool area is really nice and right on the beach. We ate both at the pool bar and the restaurant and the food was very good! The hotel is not located in the centre of mae nam and there is not a lot to do or see nearby, but if you are looking for relaxing days by the pool/beach it is the perfect place. And even if the massages were a lot more expensive than on the beach - it was absolutely worth it! The bed could have been a bit softer and the lighting could have been better. Service is good, but not great... It just seems to lack the personal touch so typical for Thailand. Don`t go for the beach front villas - they are not actually beachfroont but behind the pool area....

The hotel is situated on the north side of Koh Samui, at the very western edge of Maenam beach, away from the main ring road and the traffic noise. Perfectly designed and very eco-friendly - territory is very green, with narrow pathways, cobblestones and fountains. Location next to Lomprayah pier allows you to quickly board the high-speed ferries for travelling to nearby islands. All the villas are well-furnished and very secluded, allowing you to relax in almost complete isolation from the other guests (if that's your desire), and our private pool, albeit a bit small, was a perfect addition to that. Public infinity pool was SO good that we rarely went to swim in the sea :) Very friendly and attentive staff ensured that all our requests were met, and always greeted us with a smile. Food in the hotel is a bit overpriced by local standards, so we went outside for all our lunches and dinners. There are about 10 very decent Thai food venues within 5-7 minutes walking distance, and if you're willing to walk ~20 minutes to central part of Maenam, you will find plenty more (not to mention catching a local shuttlebus to Bophut or Chaweng beaches). Spa is noticeably more expensive compared to surrounding venues. Open-air shower and pool in all villas mean that you'll be hearing your neighbours quite well if they are using the facilities at the same time with you.

I have stayed at a similar concept hotel in Gili island near Bali but this Hotel is quite alright, however, if you do not enjoy being alone then it is not your cup of tea! - I do enjoy being alone. The place is quiet as families struggled to keep their children just as quiet!

Staff were excellent. We did not like the position of our room initially as the noise of the grass cutting was a bother but they put a stop to it right away and after that the whole stay was smooth sailing, comfortable. Pool View was excellent overlooking a gorgeous, pristine and secluded beach. The restaurant food was good and proper attention was given to the fact that my wife wanted her meals purely vegetarian Although we didnt have too much trouble with the sun beds by the pool, a couple of extra ones around would better.

Great place to Chill Out and relax. The only complaint would be the Restaurant, the food was good BUT the staff never got the order right so after 3 nights of this we rented a Moped and went outside for our food. There are some great places to eat within a short distance.

Very good value for money if one is prepared to put up with the fact that this hotel is overrun by families with young kids on a budget, i.e. mostly package family tourists. Location is good for close access to ferry service to Koh Phangan (Moon Parties island), but this means the beach is not one of the best on the island as many boats and jetskies pollute the water with oil and noise. There is not much to dislike if one accepts that this is a hotel focused on budget family tourists. Breakfast buffet could be better, but then I'm used to Marriott quality and this is more of a mid-level/package holiday hotel. Staff are friendly (just as most Thais are), so overall the mediocre restaurant can be bearable. Pool bar service needs improvement as it seems under-staffed during busy afternoons. Overall, you get what you pay for. :)

MaeNam is not for party people so if you are looking for a place where you can really relax I would suggest Saree Samui ... rooms are clean "air full" and nice ... I like it much for relaxing ... Kitchen was also excellent ... I suggest! If you want to make a trip to another islands (Tao, Phangan) it is really also great place because there is a Maenam Pier just 200m next to the hotel. Simply I like the hotel, ocean front villa was a good choice.

This hotel was fantastic. The villas were high end and alot of thought had gone in to the furnishings and design. The half outdoor bathroom was amazing. There was a huge sunken bath tub, a rain shower and also a standard shower head. On our anniversary rose petals were spread in a heart shape on our bed along with petals in the bath. Completely beautiful. The infinity pool was lovely and there were always sun beds available. There are free kayaks that you can take out for a paddle. We even got a free 15 minute Thai massage. I have stayed in some beautiful hotels before but this resort trumps them all. Thoroughly recommended. The restaurant service was very hit and miss. We got around this by eating at the lovely Harry's Restaurant a short walk from the resort.
