This boutique hotel is within walking distance of Hua Lumpong MRT station. The colorful nightlife along Chao Phraya River is a 15-minute drive away. Free tuk-tuk (trishaw) service is available to several city attractions. Facilities include a tour desk, business center and cash machine. The hotel provides laundry and dry cleaning. Continental breakfast is served at the hotel. The restaurant offers a selection of Thai and Chinese dishes, as well as afternoon tea. Cocktails and live music are available at Cotton jazz bar. Hotel Rooms: 76

Interior location, nice staff, price. Some rooms have stained glass windows in the hotel courtyard instead of windows. You must pre-view room at the entrance.

Imagine walking along a beach and you meet up with someone coming opposite you. You both stop exchange greetings and romance is in the air with the perfect night sky, the sound of waves and glances that appreciate but do not stare. Shanghai Mansion fullfills all your dreams, it is the perfect oasis in terms of the hotel but far more importantly with the staff led by Tew who confront every issue with true determination to solve all with a genuine character that leaves one with admiration. Truly this hotel deserves all it's acolades and with out question next time I need to be romantic in Bangkok this is the only place i will be booking into. The Cotton club is a soothing place and one never hears the hustle and buslte outside or even the rain. The Mu Dan Suite is a true inspiration. Book the Romantic package and the South African Red, wonderful in all aspects. Can't wait to rebook. Staff well trained, professional and with a sense of humour. Ajarn Anton There are 2 showers fixed to the wall, the rain shower is excellent the other hand held shower due to it's fixing shoots to the shower door then falls to the floor and seeps out onto the main bedroom floor and a flood situation arises due to no rubber fitting to the base of the shower door.

Everything is a good surprise at Shanghai Mansion hotel: design, breakfast, kindness of the people and their sense of humour. A slight drawback: our room had no natural light + too much air conditioning in the breakfast room (it was freezing)

I've never stayed in such a style of hotel before. The moment you walk into the reception, your mouth will drop! The decor, fish swimming around in a pool on the second floor, the ability to take some of them into your room for relaxation, the high standard of the room - perfect location as in Chinatown. Go there!!

The staff was so sweet and helpful. Constantly with a smile on their faces. Anything we needed help we, they were there. Restaurant, taxis, a scale to check if our luggage was 2 heavy. Also the rooms were splendid. So lovely design and chinese style on everything. Dumplings for breakfast was an additional bonus. Big thanks to the hole staff crew! //Fia Haak and Mia Berg

Shanghai Mansion is truly an Oasis in a crazy city. We loved the central courtyard and pond. The cotton club has good classic jazz and does not disturb the rooms at all. Breakfast was especially good. One of the best places to stay in the city, especially if you want to be able to walk Chinatown at night!

I like the decoration of the room and the commun places I didn't like that my room did not have a window and asking for a room with window they didn't offer me a better one. The cleaning of my room was just changing towels and making the bed. The rest was not done.

Absolutely beautiful interiors right in the heart of Bangkok's Chinatown. Outside is crazy and hectic, but the Shanghai Mansion is fashionable, beautiful and quiet. Nothing. Everything was perfection.

Can't beat the location of this hotel. In the middle of Chinatown and an amazing stay for Chinese New Year. The mattress is not of good quality. My husband ends up with a sore neck and me a backache. The room is not sound proof. You can hear people talking when they walk past.

This boutique hotel has put a lot of effort in furnishing their beautiful rooms. The suites are cheap (I paid thb 3000 per night) and amazing, the sort of place you want to bring your date to. Slightly off some of the attractions in Bangkok, about 20 mins by taxi to Sukhumvit Rd. No balconies. Staff's knowledge of English language surprisingly poor.
