Shanti Boutique Hotel  

Nice little place that is about 25 min away from the main tourist area. The A/C is a lifesaver. The rooms are quite small but provide enough room for what you need. The guy who runs the place and the staff are really cool people. They are friendly and helpful if you need help with a taxi or anything.

They had a mosquito net in one window so we could sleep with an open window. It was nice to hear all the "jungle" voices. The bed was good. The male owner was nice and willing to help.

The location right next to the (main) road and quite far away from the Srithanu beach. (It definitely isn't a hundred meters from the beach as they promise.) There wasn't enough staff to take proper care of the place. The bed linen for instance were clean in the meaning of washed but they were still with the spots from previous guests. We stayed for a week and they didn't change the bed linen even once. There were some dirty stuff in the corners of the ceiling which they didn't bother to clean off even when asked to do so. There was a bad odour in the bathroom.

Very friendly and helpfull owners. During our stay in Thailand, we've slept way best in this hotel. The beds are comfortable than most Thai beds.

The hotel is located at the more quiter north-west side of the island, just as we wanted. If you're more into partying, it can be a little bit further from the more tourist part of the island.

The staff is very friendly and very helpful. They were always interested in what we had done en helped us when we needed to rent something. The rooms were very nice and clean. We had a minibar and the prices were good.

Maybe the location is a bit too far from everything, but you know it when you book it. Furthermore, if you want to escape from the noise of the bars and clubs, the location is good. And you can also rent a motorbike there, so you can go everywhere easily.

Very comfortable room and modern tasteful deco. Relaxing and quiet setting.

The woman running the place was extremely friendly, but sometime hard to find! There is not much to do for the children and it is a bit out of the way, but we were out all day and when we came back, our 2 and 4 yrs old were happy to chill out and watch tv (although all kids channels are in Thai....). Overall, I would definitely recommend this place, but probably not if you're travelling with children that need entertaining.

Room service was never performed for 2 days stay!

- No restaurant at or near the guesthouse, the next small village is about 1,5km down the road. You really need a scooter or bike. - The housekeeper was not at the guesthouse most of the time, so if you needed something you had to wait till evening

We were greeted warmly by the staff when we arrived. They were really helpful during our stay especially regarding organising our transport to and from the full moon party and transfer to the port when leaving. As our room was not booked the next day, we were able to check out much later which was ideal since our ferry wasnt until 5pm. Thanks for the great service!!

Its well out of the way of most of the other resorts and there is not a huge selection of places to eat nearby. This really suited us but be aware if you want to be part of the action, you might find this guesthouse too remote. Our main complaint is that the water pressure was terrible, if you want to rinse your hair after washing you have to be willing to settle for a lukewarm shower!!

Very quiet & private, great to have own balcony. Hired a scooter through hotel easily & received good advice re: the roads and best beaches.

Location was ok but definitely need to hire a scooter as best beaches are 40min south & closest restaurants are 15min walk away.

Small hotel but very comfortable rooms. Clean, new, pretty.... I never seen a room of this quality in Thailand for a price cheap like that !

Tatiana and Konstantin reserved us with a very nice welcome. Friendly and professional at the same time. We really liked to stay in this relaxing atmosphere and it felt almost like home. Thank you again for your hospitality!

Personeel is erg vriendelijk. Hotel en kamers allemaal goed schoon en netjes. Mogelijkheid om een scooter te huren. Dichtbij het strand en de producten uit de minibar waren goedkoop.

в сочетании цена-качество, второе гораааааздо выше) отличный гестхаус по приемлемой цене, номера из которых не хочется выходить, кровати на которых приятно засыпать, вообщем - все очень понравилось! останавливались там с ребенком до года - не испытали нехватки чего либо в номере.ребята, вы молодцы - так держать!

L'aide et l'accueil du personnel, sa gentillesse, l'excellent rapport qualité/prix, la propreté, la surface importante de la chambre, le design original de l'intérieur.

Difficile à trouver, pas de solution de transport "économique" entre le port et l'hôtel. (La location de scooter est l'unique solution économique ou le marchandage excessif si vous en avez la force....)

Excelente relación calidad-precio. Es necesario alojarse teniendo medio de locomoción (motocicleta...) para no depender de los taxis..

La pena es que la playa, mas cercana esta un poco asalvajada..

La ubicacion no es muy buena. Hay que alquilar moto, lo bueno es que te la alquilan directamente en el hotel y a un precio economico.

Bardzo przyjemne miejsce. Bardzo dobra cena jak na takie warunki. Czysto, wygodnie I przyjemnie. Hotel jest nowy I dobrze wykończony. Zdecydowanie polecam.

Przy hotelu niestety jest okropna plaża, właściwie można powiedzieć, że jej nie ma. Mieszkając w tym hotelu trzeba wynająć sobie skuter I jeździć po wyspie.

Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet und der Kühlschrank und die Klimaanlage waren ein grosses Plus. Die ruhige Umgebung hat uns ebenfalls gut gefallen. Für 200 Baht pro Tag konnten wir ein Moped mieten und so die Insel erkunden. Ohne ein eigenes Fahrzeug kommt man dort nicht weit, denn die schönen Strände sind ein paar Kilometer entfernt und die Taxis und auch die "Songthaew" sind teuer.

Die Sauberkeit des Zimmers liess sehr zu Wünschen übrig. Wir hatten richtige Ameisenstrassen durch das Zimmer und Kakerlaken im Badezimmer. Das Zimmer wäre in den 5 Tagen auch nicht gereinigt worden, hätten wir nicht darum gebeten. Die Reception war immer geschlossen (man musste klingeln) und oft war auch niemand anwesend, wenn man etwas fragen wollte. Die Dame, welche uns empfangen und während unseres Aufenthaltes gearbeitet hat, war freundlich aber sprach praktisch kein Englisch. Wir erhofften uns (auch aufgrund der viele guten Bewertungen auf Booking.com) ein paar gute Tipps für Restaurant, Strände etc. zu kriegen und dass man uns vielleicht bei der Weiterreise behilflich ist. Aber das war ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit. Alles in allem; wir würden nicht mehr zurückkehren.

L'emplacement est bon, beaucoup de resto sympa à coté! Les draps et les serviettes sont de qualité, le lit est confortable!!

personnel desagreable, nettoyage non regulier (la chambre etait laver un jour sur trois), pas de restaurant dans l'hotel, eau chaude dysfonctionnante.
