- Very friendly staff - Central Location - comfortable rooms
- pools too small if you travel with kids
The third time of coming to this hotel, and it won't be the last. Huge rooms, the staff, location, good breakfast. Close to town, but quiet. Would highly recommend.
Stayed for 5 days. Fantastic Hotel. Excellent Staff made our stay even more special.
Central location. Nice room
The spa was overpriced!
Beautiful decor, helpful and friendly staff, great Tuk Tuk service, convenient location minutes from the night bazaar, relaxing spa ambience.
Need to do something about the lizards! None inside, but several in the outdoor vicinity.
Having to come home!
It was like a little oasis. Rooms very traditional and beautiful.
Intimate hotel with a private atmosphere of each suite. Large spacious room with everything you need in it. Clean and tidy. Tastefully decorated with a forest surrounding buildings, where ornamental ponds, fountains and swimming pools. Staff courteous and charming, happy to help. Near the Night Buzzer, and have a free shuttle.
Suits were great design
Very calm and boring and tgey did not allow us for late check out
1. BooKed a 2 room suite for our family of 5. The suite is as big as our own house! Equipped with a minibar and 2 bathroom, living and dining plus a huge balcony! 2. Refillable minibar (at least in the 2 bedroom suite that was) 3. Helpful staff. 4. Very pretty resort as a whole, 2 pools! Pretty cosy restaurant. 5. Limited choices of breakfast but the options of western and eastern meal is good enough. The mango sticky rice which is prepared on the spot is yummy! 6. Although not too far to walk to the night market or the old town, it is a tad too far for the elderly who has knee pain.thankfully minibus is readily available.
Well, even having been a huge suite, and the thought of one of the else kid sleeping on the day bed in the living room, charges of 1000 baht, regardless we take an extra bed or not, is applicable (but it's understandable that it is the policy, there is pros and cons really, for the extra charge per pax in that sense.) 2. Some of the compounds in the resort were dusty, probably because they had not been frequented as much (but overall it is a well maintained place really) 3. Location of the resort is actually a bit far out from the old town. It's actually more than 30 mins walk to get to the old city gate. Perhaps 15 to 20 mins walk to the daily night market. The resort is actually located on the main road that leads into the old city, which means food, although readily available nearby, are quite limited in choices. Thankfully there is a 7-11 2 blocks away. 4. Pool is small, hence not really for swimming but rather just floating and soaking in that sense. I personally felt that the water in the pool a bit... dirty. The water is not crisp clear where you can see the bottom (and it kinda tasted sour)
Staff were very helpful, friendly & efficient.Quality of breakfast & service was excellent.
Taxi drivers found it diificult to find the hotel as it was a little out of the way
Loved every minute. The staff made everything easy and were friendly and welcoming. The hotel is clean and the rooms are very impressive. The added extra of the free TukTuk to the night market made this hotel accessible. Easy to walk to night market as well (only 20mins). Breakfast was nice loved the pancakes! We left at 4am to catch our flight and we had friendly staff to meet us and help. Free soft drinks in mini bat
The location would be difficult after a while if trying to get to Chiang Mai centre. Not having milk for our tea in the room (typical English) We had to leave
beautiful relaxed atmosphere, very large spacious rooms, great staff
The room is big and the enviroment is good ! very quiet!
We book a elephone tour on the reception desk of this hotel, we required a van for this trip, but it was a "red car" next day and no any explanation from the hotel, also, the agent seems no certification and qualification, the photoes they took for us during the trip applied from that agent were totally wrong, which are other people's pictures, it was very ridiculous !!and when mistake occured, the hotel thrown us to the agent by the excuse of they were the "middle", also the agent did not give us any solution for this issue, the hotel kept silent when problem happend, so suggest do not book the trip from the reception desk of this hotel, the price is nealy 300% higher than the official tour agent , and the trip quality is very low!
cappuccino staff very friendly very comfortable terrific service
This hotel was beautiful. We stayed in a family suite and it was amazing. We had two large rooms, two bathrooms, a large living room with refrigerator and drinks and two balconies. All our windows overlooked a meandering koi pond and banana trees. There was so much green. We felt like we were alone since the rooms in the building across from us had their windows and balconies on the other side. So private. We had our own entry floor so we were able to leave our wet shoes (Songkran festival) on the landing without worry. There is a large drying rack for drying clothes on the balcony (again, since we were soaked from the Songkran festival!). The bedrooms were very comfortable. We had two king size beds. We put all three of our children in one bed! The master bedroom was beautiful and romantic with a four poster bed, an en-suite bathtub and private balcony. The staff was very attentive. One morning our second son woke up with many mosquito bites on his head (above the covers) and immediately a staff member, without us asking, put a bug zapper machine in the children's bedroom. The restaurant was nice and we enjoyed breakfast every morning there. The cook made adorable shapes (bunnies and bears) with the foam in the children's hot chocolate! There is a free night market 'bus' each evening. We would take it just to get into town to eat even if we weren't visiting the night market. As well the shampoo was incredible. All handmade natural ingredients. Fantastic stuff! I would recommend this resort to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.
The pools were small for children. One pool is a quiet spa pool so all the hotel children must use the second pool. With 6 children and 4 adults the pool felt crowded. The location is slightly far away from the historical city since it is across the river. Walking back at the end of the day wasn't an option with tired children.
The hotel is a little oasis. The street outside is nothing special but inside there is greenery, orchids, two pleasant though small pools, and spacious rooms (we were in a two bedroom suite). All the staff members were lovely and extremely helpful. We ate at the restaurant the first night and were the only ones there. The meals were fine but not up to the usual high standard I expect in Thailand. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices and a lovely setting next to one of the pools. One morning, with a very early start for an activity, we were even provided with breakfast boxes consisting of a ham and cheese sandwich and a juice.
The hotel seems to be in a light industrial area although it is not far from the night market and it doesn't take too long to get anywhere in town by taxi. The website offers free airport shuttle which I requested when I made the booking and they did pick us up on arrival, however, when I asked about the return to the airport the day before, they called a taxi for us. When I asked about the shuttle they said it had to be arranged before arrival which I thought I had done. A small gripe but dirty laundry was taken from our room and washed, with charges, when I had not requested it or completed a form.
Private area, very quiet and clean. Like the small forest in the city. Good service and nice people in hotel. My family give the super good feedback to this hotel. Will come back again for my next trip in Chiangmai!
Only provide Dukduk to downtown at afternoon, that will be perfect if have all day transportation support
Friendlyist and most helpful staff ever!
We stayed at Shewe Wana for 6 nights. 3 generation, starting at 1,5 year old girl ending at a 63 year old grand father. :-) We had an excellent stay, nice and clean apartment. Very friendly personal, level of english was good in the reception. The service level was excellent whenever we needed help, starting from the moment we arrived to early at the hotel, by supplying us with a temporary room while waiting for our apartment to be cleaned.
Somewhat cold pool with limited sun during the day.
Spacious nicely furnished, and well equipped apartment, kept spotlessly clean. Peaceful, natural well tended surroundings and gardens. Lovely staff, always friendly and helpful. Overall a very pleasant stay.
Quiet city retreat walking distance from everything and they are helpful in setting up activities with a very polite staff and very nature inspired surroundings. The natural soaps provided were amazing.
Breakfast could be allot better.
We loved the room, we loved the staff. Vicky and Kate looked after our every need. We actually extended our stay in Chiangmai due to the resort. We could not have been treated better or happier with our accommodations!
There was nothing we didn't like! The location is not the best but we still enjoyed the walk and the exercise between the hotel and the east gate of the old city. Not one complaint!
We arrived about 6 hrs before check-in tired and hoping just to drop off our luggage but they gave us a smaller room to shower and nap till our room was ready. Which was so nice since with our flights we hadnt seen a bed in days. They really go the extra mile for you. Sooo friendly and polite and try to help you any way they can.
The location was good, just a short walk into the town or cheap tuktuk. Breakfast was cook to order however make sure you order more than one dish as each dish is very very small portion. Nice pools but they lose the sun and are quite cold.
This was a strange one, it had a large spacious suite however no suitable comfortable seats were provided - the couch was extremely hard. The bathroom was nice however dated. The kitchen was great but with no sink. Breakfast was another problem, they seemed to have one cook to do the breakfast and that cook seemed to concentrate on one dish at a time. This meant waiting literally 10 or more minutes for your bacon, then later you will receive your omelette and then later receiving your pancake etc. This was especially obvious when there were a few people waiting for breakfast. Each day breakfast for us would take at least 45 minutes for the smallest amount of food. Coffee was wonderful however you also had to wait a long time for it.
