Breakfast was ok, simple but tasty. Just missed an option with fruits etc.
For this price everything was really good! Good location, not next to a big road, close to walk everywhere!

Bed was uncomfortable, could have been given a bit more care in cleaning and up keep but was just a tad tattered, didn't put us off stating there and for the price you couldn't complain.
Was a nice place, staff were very helpful and welcoming, very friendly. Room was large, wifi reached the room, and had a bathroom - en suite. So for 300THB was good for the money.

We had to wait to check in as the guy in the reception was out somewhere. When he came he left us waiting while going about some other business. When he finally attended to us he told us we'd stay in the basement the first night and then move to a higher floor. He showed us the room and attempted to joke about my husband's weight assuming he liked beer. The bathroom was more of an attached outhouse as you had to go through a door and a gate into a tiled area, then climb up three steps while bending yourself in half to fit through the little opening leading into the "bathroom". The roof is corrugated steel and there's gaps and holes everywhere along it allowing mosquitos and other critters to enter. I'm guessing the guesthouse's water tank is located just by the room as it was constantly banging, and at night when someone flushed their toilet it sounded like a flash flood was coming down on you. This along with noisy people and howling dogs added to the problem of sleeping. The next day we asked when we could switch to the room upstairs and the owner started running around doing things and wasting our time until finally telling us that "room cleaning isn't ready", so he would move our things later in the day. When we came back at night we got our new room and our things were there, along with a filthy bathroom and four absolutely massive spiderwebs right inside the door. I was very confused as to the state of the room possibly could've been before the supposed "cleaning". The windows were only partly covered with mosquito nets (which were full of big holes and gaps) and the bed was the worst we have experienced in our lives (basically a sheet over tight springs) and the noises we suffered from in the basement followed us up to the second floor leaving us less than well-rested. In the morning we were greeted by a cockroach and decided to cut our losses and check out 4 days early.
Location was okay.

unclean room and bad smell

Everything was perfect, especially the staff. Location is great, inside of the Old city.

it's a guesthouse and it's pretty cheap. there is really nothing to complain.
great location great owner with lots of help in planning the trip if you want to book a tour or taxi/tuktuk book it with the owner. You cannot get better price elsewhere.

We could have caught them at a bad time, but the staff were never there. When we arrived, when we were locked out of our room and when we wanted to extend our stay, there was no one around to talk to. On occasion you could get the neighboring hotel's staff to call the guy back, but we spent a fair while waiting for the front desk guy, so we just moved to the Cumpon Guest House, which was much better.
The room was a good size and clean. It was exactly what we expected from the website info. The location was also pretty central to what we wanted to see in the city.

nothing, I would always stayed at this place
room is spacious and bright, quiet street, washing machines and apparat for purified water in front of the hotel, Also the bicycles for rent. The young man who takes care of everything, Sati, is helpful and friendly ... the best person in my journey. He drove me to the airport in his car because the tuk tuk did not come ... Thank Sati:-)

Except from few bugs present in the room and bathroom - nothing
The location is perfect, just near everything. The owner of the guesthouse is always ready to help.

Good location, kind staff and wide and clean room for a single person.
October 31, 2014
We had a big room with three beds. Luckily we were just with two persons, because one bed almost collapsed when you sat on it. Cleaning could be better; there was a lot of dust on top of the cabinets.
The owner is really friendly and helpfull all the time. The location is great as well. I would really recommend this hotel.
October 25, 2014
Could be a bit difficult to find, cans charge 150 baht with no exception from the airport and it's only about a 8 min drive, don't listen to the drivers but the won't do a meter ride and ours tried to steal a purse, anyway nothing to do the with the hotel at all, just wanted to say that the taxis are a bunch of pirates and a rip off in chaing mai
Location and staff, saki was extremely helpful, recommend this hotel

The manager is super friendly and advises you on everything. The rooms are basic but do the job perfectly for the price you pay. The location is perfect as well, close to a lot of cosy restaurants and convenient to be dropped off at the city's north gate.

The wifi was really slow

- The host was so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. we booked a tour from him which was one of the best tours we have done and it was at a really good price for our low budget. - really good value for money and the rooms were large

The only thing i didn´t like was that they were just making reconstruction in the next house. So in the morning we were waken up by the drills.
He was really helpful with everything. Offered us great deals of excursions no chiang rai and to the jungle. Told us where to go, how much to pay and other great advices. Obviously it´s not Hilton, but if you compare the price and the services I strongly recomend staying at SIndy´s guesthouse

We planned on staying in chian Mai at sindyguesthouse one night but after arriving we almost instantly decided to stay longer. Sindyguesthouse is simple but clean and located close to town in a nice area. If I go back I will definitely stay at sindyguesthouse. Saki, the host, is great and puts his all heart to make you feel welcome and good at his guesthouse.

Nothing at all, if there was anything then it would of been passed off because the host was so good
The guy who was running it there was the nicest person we had ever met, he was so thoughtful the whole time during our stay. He was welcoming and genuine. He referred to us by our names the whole time and was just much more than a general host. Couldn't recommend it more!
August 16, 2014
Basic rooms, no AC. Stayed four nights but the rooms were never cleaned, trashbin not emptied.
A fair location next to one of the three important old-town Wats. Sokhai, the owner (also the manager of the neighbouring workshop) is an excellent host.

My friend and I stayed at Sindyguesthouse for 3 nights and LOVED IT! Saki was extremely friendly, caring and helpful. I loved the room, especially the balcony, WiFi worked great, and the atmosphere was relaxing, the location perfect, and Saki will help you with whatever you need! Enjoy Chiang Mai, your stay at Sindyguesthouse, and Saki’s hospitality...
