A very nice little boutique hotel decorated in Thai style. Had a great spa bath, welcome fruit basket, comfortable surroundings, and the staff made us feel very welcome.
Location a long way from anything - it is basically in the middle of a residential area. We only stayed there for one night so was not an issue for us - for a longer stay it may be problematic. The breakfast was ordinary and the free wifi in the room was weak and dropped out more than it worked.
Loved the staff and hotel design. Mr. Tu (our driver) and Mr. Guy (concierge) would great. Breakfast was nice. Large suite was very comfortable.
Not close to anything. Pick a hotel by the Ping river, that is where the action is located.
Liked the big rooms and decor. The outdoor bathroom is nice but felt the spa bath too big and waste of precious water.
We didn't like the barking dog that barked every night all night.
not clean need serious renovation in certain area expensive compare to other type of place
This hotel must have been fabulous when it was first opened, but is now showing signs of neglect and need for investment and upgrade in some parts. A real contradiction, as some elements were excellent, and some a total let down. Our room was spacious and the bed and bedding, furnishings etc were of good quality and very comfortable. Great window views on most sides of the room. The staff were friendly ad helpful, Guy (the concierge) being very personable. Breakfast was OK, the pool looked nice (but was really too cold to use), and the installation of jacuzzi baths (in the style of hot tubs but used as a bath to be drained after each use) could have been a real added bonus. The food and drinks we ordered were good. Despite the negatives, we had a good break here, but it could have been (and was expected to be) so much better. A great view of new year celebrations from our balcony over the city.
We were in a skyroom suite with outdoor jacuzzi bath which sadly was old, worn and dirty and the water we ran was brownish yellow. And most of the functions not working at all. The shower (outside access) was huge but alas, no water pressure at all and as such, unusable for the three day we were there - we had to use the jacuzzi shower head. Workmanship within the room were poor in places (particularly if you opened a cupboard and found signs of original workmanship inside, plaster, clutter etc). Soundproofing of rooms poor and street noise was bad, with a 'karaoke' style bar close by. The pool was too cold to use. There were burners in all common areas, giving off an overbearing smell of jasmine or similar, which were stifling. But the worse thing was the breakfast room/restaurant area with its dirty carpet and dirty table cloths on main tables (with swags and unfinished hems) which was a real put off for eating (coupled with the smell of burners also in this area). This could be a great space, but needs a total refurb and clean up. A real shame, as the hotel has charm and style in lots of ways, the rooms are large and airy and well styled, but some aspects were really quite unacceptable in truth. Location was out of town but only a few minutes ride, but we knew that and it wasn't an issue. Overall, a bit of a hotch potch of a place and in need of some attention to bring it back up to scratch but has the potential to be excellent.
The fact That I ordered only for two nights
Not even one english speaker. Dirty hotel, all over. Totally neglected, Water tabs do not function, doors doesn't close, not enough light, very bad. They only try to take from you more and more money for extras. Try to evoid this hotel.
Lots of very nice details. Very friendly and helpful staff. Thank you very much!
It's a nice, traditional, upscale hotel for a family/young couple. We had the family room and the separate bedroom (with two single beds) for the kids really worked well... I liked the beds a lot, very comfortable; the giant jacuzzi was a unique amnerity. One of the staff, named Zita was extremely helpful and friendly, as was Guy the concierge. Also nice to have free airport transfers
The rooms look a bit worn... Carpet has stains, windows have big gaps (which doesn't help to keep the mosquitos out at night); the location is relatively close to the old town but still too far to be able to walk to "get to the action"... You always need to take a tuktuk to get to places. Nex time around i would stay either outside the city and rent a villa or pick one of the hotels in the Old Town.
Good staff and breakfast
Prefer to stay somewhere inside the old city
Jacuzzi was very nice to have , outdoor shower also nice . But that's about it
For being such a high end hotel , it really needed some maintainance . Carpets had stains . They didn't clean the room before we checked in, so windows were full of dust , jacuzzi was really dirty we had to call room service to clean , also footprints on the floor , dust in the toilet . Staff didn't even help with the bags . There is just not good care of the place .
Forget the Rest...THIS IS THE BEST! The attention to detail, the warmth of the staff, the genuine care and concern of the staff; ALL make this the best hotel in Chiang Mai. The beds are SO comfy, the room was quiet, all tours were organised perfectly. Words cannot express my admiration and gratitude to Mr. Guy from Concierge, who ensured that every aspect of our holiday was a memorable one. In my opinion, a six star facility. You won't regret staying here!
Very big room with balcony and jakuzi.
Here are facts : We had booked the hotel for first night after a long flight to relax. First toilet broked down and flush dows not work. Of course we had discovered it the hard way. We had waited in a terrible smell for an hour or so till it was fixed. Then at night we tried a jacuzzi, and afterwards when we wanted to clean ourselves after a jacuzzi, water just stopped and we were full of soap without the ability to wash ourselves. I had to go down to the reception full of soap at 1am to ask them to fix the water. Again!!!!. They had offered to "upgrade" us at 1pm. when we are dead tired and just want to sleep. Needless to say that no compensaton was offered, even when I had demanded it, all i heard is "I am so sorry" I would not stay there again and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
This is a beautiful boutique hotel with excellent bilingual stall, a most wonderful concierge - Guy - and a superb breakfast included. The WiFi quality was my only dissatisfaction. Everything else was truly excellent.
WiFi service : (
The size of the room was huge and extremely comfortable with many places to curl up and relax. The spa bath in the suite - a great extra bit of luxury. The food was delicious - I had room service which was very prompt in arriving. This is an exceptional hotel with unique and beautiful decor. The staff are very friendly and happy to help. I loved the pool and the surroundings with the wood carvings showing different stories around it. I will definitely come back to this place for a retreat.
The location is not brilliant for city sightseeing. There is, however, a shuttle service from the hotel to the city. I stayed here for a night at the end of my stay in Chiang Mai as it is very close to the airport.
loved the jacuzzi(hot tub) in our suite we loved the nibbles left in our room at nite. on one hot evening after our return a lovely vase of flowers and a cool drink was sent up to our suite and this was so appreciated.
the cockrel that crowed and woke us up every morning at 5.
The staff are very helpful.
The location is quite from the tourist attraction, the hotel is rather old.
Staff where great and very nice with great touches of tea and fruit made our stay very welcoming. The free shuttle bus was so great. Great hotel
Hot tub was difficult to understand was full when we arrived tough could warm up but had to drain and then fill up again. Although was beautiful when we arrived with petals was annoying.
Staying at the hotel was an unique experience. Would definitely recommend. Special mention to all the friendly and helpful staff (especially Guy the concierge).
Big room, good air con, comfortable lanna style decoration, big bath, private location, friendly staff
there are mosquitoes in the room.
Great stylised rooms with great city view. We had a hot tub roof room which was amazing and the room was perfect for a glamorous stay not to far from the city. Staff were very helpful and accommodating to what we wanted to do and see.
The room is pretty and the personel really nice
To much mosquito
Guy " The concierge" was amazing, very helpful!
Exceptional personal service by all staff. Concierge Guy is the best I have encountered. Unique, beautiful, boutique and 100% effort by all staff to make us feel at home yet luxuriously cared for
No negatives at all!!
