The staff was very nice and the place was very clean. It was very relaxing.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, they made you feel like royalty throughout your stay.

We were upgraded to one of the fantastic poolside villas which was very comfortable and luxurious. The staff on reception spoke very good English and were extremely attentive and helpful. The swimming pool was lovely and much needed to escape the heat of the city

The staff in the breakfast room were very forgetful and we found we had to ask at least 3 times if we wanted anything. One of the shuttle drivers did not have a clue about were we wanted to go in the city and spoke little English so we ended up at a different destination to where we wanted to go. Wifi in the rooms would be good for this standard of Hotel. Overall a lovely place to stay though

The location; opposite a run down group of shops/businesses, on the south east side of town. Nowhere in the area to eat or drink. The restaurant; dark and depressing. Breakfast was buffet style, with food uncovered for the duration - 6.30-10.30 am. On two occasions we found small cockroaches on the food and one large cockroach on the floor which made for uncomfortable mealtimes. Small flies engulfed the fresh fruit platters. One morning we found ourselves sittting next to a family with an ill child vomiting at the breakfast table whilst the parents ate, which was unpleasant to say the least, and the staff should have requested the parents perhaps take their breakfast in their room. The resort itself; the swimming pool was not user friendly as it was only about 1.5m wide and went around the inside of the accommodation area, with a small wading pool at one end. Around the pool was a garden area which attracted mosquitos. The walkways to the accommodation areas had dropped areas of to each side, where foliage grew but these areas were not cleaned out. You also had the view of piping, pumps and electrical equipment. The Room; the entrance door and the door to the balcony did not fit well and therefore mosquitos were able to get into the room with ease. The fixture and fittings housing the bath taps in the bathroom were tired and broken. The bath gel dispenser was dirty with some dark brown sludge evident. I unscrewed the top and left it on the side of the bath to be cleaned, but after the room had been serviced, it had not been touched. The noise levels were high and our neighbours, not sure how many there were in the room but there were certainly more than 3 people, screaming, shouting, moving furniture and banging the walls until the early hours of the morning. There was also a lot of noise from a bar behind the hotel as well as noise from the restaurant area. The website gives a very different impression to the reality.

The whole enviroment created by the hotel is excellent. Staff are nice and very helpful.

Personnel is generally poorly trained and non-English speaking (!!), eventhough well intended. Position in town is not central.

We stayed in the deluxe room and it was big, clean and very comfortable. There was even a sofa bed that allowed one to double up as an extra bed. The in-house spa was very good.

There is no free Wi Fi in the room. There is no extra bedding for the sofa bed if you want to double it up as an extra bed. The staff are mostly friendly but their services delivery are inconsistent. One the staff came across as impatient when we start asking for recommendation for places to visit and things to do. Most of the staff has difficulty conversing in simple English and there is communication breakdown. Among the staff, there can be inconsistent organisation or coordination leading to staff not being able to handle simple requests from guests, E.G. guest asking for menu repeatedly. The training of the staff needs to be improved in terms of language, staff organisation and having information at hand to assist guests.

Nice big rooms which are very clean and comfortable.

Landscaping and facilities unexciting. Need to take transport to get to places, not walking distance.

Warm welcome on arrival as well as the hospitality offered. The facilities, spa, restaurant and room was excellent, warm, inviting and home from home feel.

1) No free wi-fi in the room which made it inconvenient for us to go to the lobby every time we want to access the Internet.

Front desk, guard, housekeeper, shuttle driver, every staff very nice, helpful, smile face every where. Felt enjoyable every minutes here. Very Thai style, beautiful,garden, with a lovely rice field, swimming pool, taste breakfast, you are always easy to find your own choice here. Satisfied!

The staff were warm and friendly especially at the reception, they booked our flights on line. Breakfast was very good. Location is also good not far from the river & the night market.

It is an amazing experience, the people at the hotel could not be friendlier, the food is amazing, the location is a little away from the whole crazyness of the city but in a perfect area

From arrival to leaving we felt like we had found heaven and were still alive. This hotel has to be on everyone's visit to Chiang Mai. They were helpful, friendly, kind, accomodating and above all else polite. The accomodation was excellent we had a grand lanna room first which was on the third floor, which we found tiring after a few nights and moved to a villa which was perfection. Spaceou,s comfortable as was the first room and again everyone was so helpful ith our move.

Let's start with me saying - I am usually a tough reviewer. Even so - this resort was sooo far above my expectations (which were high) in every way that it has completely redefined my opinion of a top hotel. The warm, friendly service was of such a level, I expect I'll never be able to find (or be able to afford) to stay somewhere even remotely as good. Modern, clean room, brilliant staff, beautiful hotel - exactly as their website shows it.

Nothing, But some people might prefer to stay closer to town. However the 5 - 8 min Tuk Tuk ride means a quiet, relaxed location - and the city is not far at all. Worth it!

We had an AMAZING stay!!! Our 12 year old son especially loved it. He commented everyday how friendly all the staff were to him.

Excellent comfort, particularly in Deluxe rooms. Fantastic staff : friendly, always available and willing to help. Very good breakfast and valuable for money "business lunch" formula. Location is very nice : not in the centre of the city, so very quiet, but also close enough to reach the heart of the old city in 10-15 minutes with a tuk-tuk.

Some hotel's prices are highly exagerated compared to what you can find in the city : shuttle transfer to airport (5 times the rate of a taxi !) and massages.
