You have to pay upfront when you check in. We stayed 4 nights and our room wasn't cleaned once! We had to ask for clean towels while our request for our room to be cleaned was ignored! The "hotel" pool is actually a pubic swimming pool.. Very busy with loud teenagers and children's swimming lessons all day. Don't stay at this hotel if you like children!!! We had a horrible experience while laying by the pool we witnessed a "swimming teacher" bullying a child. To the extent the child only about 6 years old got out the pool and was crying he ended up being sick on the side and we watched as the "swimming teacher" got out of the pool picked the boy up like a ragdoll and threw him back into the pool then dunking his head underwater while the little boy was crying and screaming for breath! While I was completely stunned and extremely upset by this I went straight to reception and complained! They said they'll look into the problem. Following day I was approached by maybe the female manager? I don't know.. Claiming that we needed to know this was a Thai place and they didn't appreciate us making a scene when my partner had a go at the swimming teacher and I complained in reception! They have no respect that we are british guests staying at their hotel and that isn't what we want to witness while spending time and paying (overpriced) at this hotel.

I stayed at Sivalai Place for almost 2 weeks and liked it a lot. I played tennis every day which was great. I cooked for myself and enjoyed my stay a lot. If you don't need a restaurant and don't mind being a bit away from the attractions then this place is great.

The location is not ideal. No real restaurants in comfortable walking distance. Sometimes hard to catch a taxi.

Good location for explore Bangkok. Not near to some bus or BTS station, but taxi is very cheap and driving by taximeter. Just ask men on parking for order it.

Wi-Fi account only for one device in one time. This is useless.

The rooms were very comfortable, clean, big enough for our 3 person family. The manager did everything to give everyone an agreable stay, he listens to your complaints (see -) and reacts immediately. The swimmingpool is excellent.

The friendlyness and kindness of the staff at the reception and administration room. No hello, n to goodmorning if you don't say it first (but this is a rather general thing in Thailand by the young generation). The cleaners and housekeeper were very polite and friendly, so why the rest of the staff couldn't be like this ?

The boss's daughter's English is very fluent. She is the only one that is of great help but she is not always available. The other service people there are not quite good at English. Communication is very inconvenient. If you like tennis, they have 3 great tennis courts that can be reserved before 4pm. After 4pm, the courts are usually pre reserved by their club members.

Location is a big problem. When you are downtown, it depends on your luck to have a taxi driver willing to get you back there. Even though the taxi driver is willing to, he doesn't want to take you there by meter. Then you have to compromise. The hotel offers only 1 wifi account and it is inconvenient if you have more than one device that needs to be connected to internet.
