I was a bit worried when I booked this place as there was limited on-line review (the only one available was a pretty low scored one and its in French, which I don't understand). We finally booked it because other places we looked for were all full. But it was a wonderful surprise! The house is in a quiet alley, beautifully designed, with lush trees around and through (a leafy tree grew through the upstairs lounge floor). Birds singing in the morning and spacious traditional sitting areas both upstairs and downstairs, with fountain water trickling down at background. Breakfast is beautifully cooked - you can request traditional or western style; we had different type of traditional Thai breakfast everyday, suggested and cooked by the lovely Thai girl. The location is superb, right next to the Southern wall. There is a night food market daily, which provides wide range of saviour and sweet options with much cheaper price - compared to the places within the wall(s). Look out for the fruit shake place in the middle of the food stores: 20b for a large cup of mixed fruit shake! you have to pay around 40b in the city at least. If you happen to be staying there on Sat., don't miss the Sat market - its starting point is literately next to hotel, and there are endless stores of food and artefacts for you to explore. Request rooms facing the court yard if you can. The other side faces the neighbour wall hence has less characteristic view.

Les chambres sont exiguës et tristes mais propres. Un hôtel pour routards bien que le prix ne soit pas en rapport avec la qualité médiocre des chambres et des prestations. La literie est propre mais très défraîchie ; toujours ce problème des draps usés donc fins comme du papier cigarette et des oreillers jamais lavés qui nous font profiter des odeurs des clients précédents. Cà fait pas rêver.... Le jardinet tient dans un mouchoir de poche. Le personnel est gentil. C'est vraiment un hôtel de passage qui ne donne pas envie de s'y prélasser.
