Lets set things straight, this isn't an hotel but some kind of over priced BnB at the most. Walls are thin so you can hear the others, smelly and tiny bathroom, old refurbished rooms with no good lights and half dead A/C. for the price they charged you can get in Bangkok a 4 Star (real) hotel. Really! Don't get near it. I also read the other positive reviews and I can only say they aren't true or just people with really low standards!!! |

This hotel lived up to all the good reviews. It was initially difficult for the taxi driver to find however i made him call the number and we arrived within 5 minutes after first going to the royal hotel. Its proximity to Kohsan Rd was very close yet it was sheltered from the noise as it is on a small back street. The staff were very very helpful and polite allowing us to check in at 7am rather than 12am when we first arrived and made us an early breakfast the next day on short notice. An excellent place to stay on a budget, ac and hot water was good as well as the bed. highly recommended and i will be going there again when i have the chance |

The location was very good if you want to visit the old city and it was quiet. The staff was excellent but from my perspective some of the previous reviews have overrated this hotel a bit (or maybe my expectations were too high based on those reviews). I recommend staying 3 nights in order to get a free ride to the hotel when you arrive at the airport which is always nice and it allows you to save 350-400 Baht. We booked a superior room and the bathroom was far too small (if you are taller than 185, you will not be able to sit on the WC without hitting the wall). The breakfast could be improved/expanded a little bit but was ok. Last but not least, although it's not the hotel's fault, getting a taxi back to the hotel it was always kind of difficult as most taxi drivers did not know where the Democracy Monument was (even with the address in Thai from the hotel!). We tried once with a Tuk-Tuk and it was an odyssey to we got there. We stayed here for 3 nights and every day was the same; speaking with other guests we were not the only ones who had this problem. |

Lovely quiet location, but only a couple of minutes walk from Khoa San road. We had the airport pick up which went very smoothly and I would recommend it as I don't think you would find it yourself the first time. The staff were friendly and polite and happy to book taxi's for us. Room, comfy, with proper bed and duvet. The bathrooms were a bit small and shower a bit temperamental, but still clean and perfectly acceptable for the money. |

Friendly staff and good location but the bathroom/WC was only seperated from the room by a very thin glassdoor. No A/C in the bathroom. But it was a good stay and staff was very friendly and helpfull. The bathroom/WC is only |

Low budget hotel, suitable for backpackers. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was very small, I constantly bumped my legs on the wooden bed. The second day, the room was not cleaned and the towels were not changed. The location was supposed to be good, near Kawasan, but in fact, the hotel was in a dark, quite scaring one way alley. |

Good located hotel close to the democracy momument. Room - second floor - was loud and due to a window to the floor too bright at night. Staff was sort of unorganiced, but very friendly. |

the location, perfect to be in Kaosan Road' s atmosphere but far away from the caos. Friendly staff, walking distance to all the best night places to go out in the best area. My next time in Bangkok i will definitely go to this hotel. |

The location is very close to most cultural attraction. The room is very clean. Staff are very friendly. Free airport pick up is a plus. The bath room is a little small but ok. Breakfast is so so. Overall, I do not want to complain considering the price we pay. |

Very clean room comfy bed, good aircon, great location. No blackout curtains, in room wifi patchy (cable was provided which was acceptable but not optimal), no in-room safe. Bacon at breakfast was like cardboard, otherwise ok food. Some food in room service was past code though, needs to be checked. |

Great personnel, very helpful and friendly. Convenient location, very quiet but close to noisy Kao San and main cultural attractions. May be not very convinient for shopping oriented tourists. Very clean and cosy. We loved it. |

We selected the hotel based on previous favorable guest comments. Being a family with a teenager and at the end of three months of travel, we were very specific about expectations. We wanted a small, intimate hotel with a personal touch and were delighted with the outcome. Tucked behind a busy thoroughfare, the hotel is charming tropical retreat from the pace of Bangkok. Our suite was lovely - very spacious and beautifully decorated, the breakfast generous and the coffee great. Staff were fantastic and provided that extra bit of care and attention that we always look for when traveling with a family. |

The Sourire is in a good location just a short walk to Khao San Road, but without all the chaos and noise! It's also a good spot to see the rest of Bangkok - it's easy to get tuk tuks or taxis. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable - just the type of boutique hotel we like. We stayed for two nights, then returned after a week in Kho Samui for our final night as we were very comfortable there. Breakfast was good too - lovely eggs! It was also a great bonus to be picked up from the airport after a long journey from London! Taxi drivers don't know the hotel (and it's hard to pronounce for English speakers and Thais!) It's best to be asked to be dropped off at the Democracy Monument (just a minute's walk). |
