staff are friendly, nice room, good service, near night bazaar
it's the perfect location which is nearest to the famous night market while it's quiet inside and good for sleepy. you will not feel boring at the night at all. The Thae Gate is also in 10 minutes walk. it's also convenient to find a good place for dinner as the opposite are two international restaurant serving thai and italia cuisine. Impressive on friendly staff, spacious room and professional service
The batch room is a bit small and the furniture is old.
1. The location. Right next to the night bazaar. Convenient stores and fast food restaurants nearby. 2. The hotel environment is calm and relaxing.
Here are the disappointments: 1. About one week before my trip, I did request for connecting rooms as we are traveling in a group of 4. I was told that there was no connecting superior rooms. It’s OK, I didn’t probe further as they promised rooms next to each other. On arrival, I did try to ask for connecting rooms again but the staff gave me another reason for not able to provide as the hotel is full during that period. I was hoping for a more consistent answer though. Was surprised to find out that one of the rooms was part of the connecting rooms. I was not very happy with it as I have requested earlier but the hotel still unable to arrange for it. Was promised rooms next to each other but ended up about 3 doors away. 2. Door chain lock is not working for room B326. 3. The wall is too thin. We could literally hear every single word my neighbours said. Not a pleasant experience for not getting a good night’s sleep. 4. I have left some coins in the bathroom. After room make-up on the next day, the coins were gone. 5. THIS IS THE MOST RIDICULOUS DISAPPOINTMENT EVER. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: As mentioned, the door chain lock is out of order for room B326. Feeling insecure, I had put a stool just behind the door. This is to prevent somebody from coming in when we are asleep. At least we can hear some noise if the room is being broken into. This is our usual practice when staying in hotels. Whether or not there is a door chain lock or not, we put something behind the door. Our worst nightmare has come true when I caught somebody opening our door room at 4.30am!! Thanks to the moving stool which emits noise when being pushed, I saw a tall and thin male at the doorway. I couldn’t see his face due to dim lights. I yelled at him and he said ‘sorry’ in a sing-song voice while closing the door. I felt so unsafe the entire night. Again, I didn’t get any sleep after this ordeal. 6. The tour desk is such a rip-off! We were asking for the direction to Warorot Market.
The main entrance & lobby..is does not reflect a grand hotel like Suriwongse
Friendly and helpful staff, excellent location, generally clean, renovated from previous stay...
breakfast ..... need improvement housekeeping .... doesn't clean the washroom at times.
price and location.
The entrance for the main reception being on the rear of the hotel, this not a criticism just strange.
The staff were amazing ! Gracious & helpful , they went all out to ensure guest satisfaction & comfort ! The breakfast buffet was great . The hotel is perfectly located .
The rooms need renovation as walls , carpets & furniture look a bit shabby . Hotel is under renovation , so hopefully will be excellent once complete . Wish there was a pool ! Disappointed that no doorman to greet you as you enter , help open doors when your hands are full , & greet guests , help hail a cab , etc ! Most hotel doormen are very attentive ! Once or twice I saw them , but not at the entrance door , but chatting on the street & they didn't bother to hold the door open , even though my hands were full !
The hotel staff were courteous and friendly including the manager. Breakfast were included in our stay at the coffee house and it meets with our expectation with quite a number of choices of foods available. Booked 3 rooms and upon checking in were upgraded. Booked another extra rooms due to low season with good promotional offer. Overall stayed 4 nights and it was a very pleasant stay. There were renovation but however it didn't bother us because we are always out from the hotel in the morning and back in the late evening. It is within walking distance to the night market and so forth. Transportation and foods are easily available.
There weren't any except that upon checking out, I requested to keep 1 room for checking out at 14.30 to accommodate our flights at 17.00. 3 rooms will be check out before noon. They would not allow saying that rooms are full. There will be charges if check out late. Anyway this is not a major issue.
Friendly staff and good service.
Bathroom light a bit too dark.
Good location, facilities, friendly staff, great breakfast
Location is right in the centre of everything.
Shower had mould in it and hadn't been cleaned properly on arrival. The large restaurant was awful. Didn't try the other one.
Service staff from front desk to porter are very courteous and helpful. Breakfast has variety to suite asian and europeans. Location to night market and fun zones very near.
the wifi is very weak and drop very often.
The room is clean and dinning hall also.. Great buffet breakfast
A little bit hard to locate.Price is relatively high
Hospitality of staff very helpfully and corporate
It would be better if they start to introduce Halal menu in their kitchen
The offered Price was comfortable.
Most of the Staff do not speak English. Mainly for room service.
Hotel was in a great location, right behind the night market. So many choices for food and shopping. The staff was super helpful…almost too much where you felt like 10 people were paying attention. Small concierge desk offered help with activities and tours.
The pool was located offsite and you have to take a 15min shuttle to get to it. However, I must say once I was there it was really nice.
Wifi need to renew passwords daily
Better than what we expected for the price we paid. But nothing special. Good breakfast, good staff, good rooms. Right next to the night markets but extremely quiet. Not bad, not excellent. Just good.
Pool was closed because of renovations, but if you came to Chiang Mai just to swim in a pool, you shouldn't be in Chiang Mai! Shower was hot and cold, but I didn't let that spoil my day.
Great hotel and very good stuff
Nice breakfast and friendly staff
Mosquitos! Mosquitos! Mosquitos! The size of the room ! Breakfast was ok.. Same thing everyday, breakfast same as dinner !
location is good. few steps from night market.
our room was in a corridor connecting the two hotel building. at night time there was a loud bang (like a door slams) every 15 mins. we moved to another room. the second one was good
convenient to night market places, convenient to restaurants, breakfast buffet wonderful, good location.
near night market
at the lobby there are a lot of mosquitoes
The location of the hotel is great. Right by the night bazaar. The staff are really friendly. The hotel has a restaurant with entertainment at night and a breakfast buffet in the morning. A nice outdoor cafe is situated right outside the hotel.
However there were more negative aspects to the hotel than positive. 1. Upon arrival the person at the front desk was very adamant and somewhat rude in telling me that the hotel had not charged my credit card. I tried to explain over and again how my credit card sent me a notification that a charge had been made. Anyway, at the end I paid cash and noticed that there is no charge on my card. However he could have been a little more attentive to what I was saying instead of almost accusing me of lying. 2. My first room was a great non smoking room with fruit laid out, a flower on the bed, and some bed side snack for sleep. The bathroom had ample toiletries including shaving foam and toothbrush and paste. When I changed my room to a smoking room the next day, none of that was there. And not for any of the days to follow. I had to request the toiletries. 3. My towels and bed sheets were not changed for almost 3 days till I complained and then finally got a fresh set. 4. The doors don't close easily. You have to bang them hard and you can hear every door do so. 5. I ordered in room masseuse and the massage was horrible. She just kept piling my thighs for the most part. I guess she was expecting me to ask or indicate for a happy ending. Not what I wanted or expected in the hotel. I paid a lot for the hotel but I guess the price was high due to Chinese New Year. I expected more.
