Score from 35 reviews Good
A 10-minute drive from Sunday Walking Street on Thapae Road, The Athitan Boutique Resort Chiangmai is along the banks of Ping River. It has classically furnished rooms with a balcony.
Score from 26 reviews Good
Blending European design with Lanna Thai charm, the luxurious Le Meridien is in downtown Chiang Mai on Changklan Road, only a short walk from Tha Pae Gate and Warorot Market.

Score from 540 reviews Good
Clean comfortable room, tea and coffee making facilities. Friendly helpful staff, Breakfast okay.
No hot water, shower lukewarm. The meal I had in the Restaurant was very poor. I sent it back and the replacement was no better. I didn't eat it. Lots of mosquitoes.
Location Big sunny rooms
The fact they promote 24 hour room service but don't offer it
Over price, very old hotel! Terrible furnitures and very old facilities
chinese karaoke at dinner!
good room size Excellent breakfast
very slow internet
Wifi is so slow. Bathroom is so dirty. Hot water is cold. Only one lift in entire building B. Shocking breakfast.
Wi fi was very poor Food was very poor
Location is good, easygoing anywhere ... Walk within 1 minute to the night walk market and restaurants
Nice hotel located next to the popular night bazar , but the front area if the hotel need to be improved
Smell out side hotel
Within Night Bazaar area, close to bars, restaurants, river, money exchanges, etc. Big selection and helpful staff at breakfast. Polite, responsive staff.
Lack of adequate supply of toilet paper. Lifts old and slow.
The breakfast was perfect and the kitchen staff very considerate. The location of the night market is at the nearest corner street and the famous night bazaar a very short 5 minute walk. The river side walking street is a 15 minute walk for the more energetic.
This hotel is currently under going major renovations to the street front building, although not noisy at the time we stayed. The lobby entrance is temporary and from the side street. If you choose to stay you must be at a high floor level 9 with only single beds or if lower floors you will see only walls from near hotel buildings. Visit this hotel when the renovations are finished.
Liked the size of the room. Booked a family suite was enormous. The location was great, only 10 min walk to walled city. Staff very friendly.
Room very tired in appearance, cigarette smoke was heavy in fabrics and furnishings. Air conditioning vent extremely blocked up with dirt/dust. Beds were overly hard.
Nice hotel, staff very helpful and pleasant. We had left some clothes on the cupbiard by mistake and they checked the room before we left the building and retrieved them which was really helpful Breakfast eclectic. Great location for night market.
Poor wifi connection but we were on the 7th floor.
- Located in the middle of Changklan Rd where there is a night market every night. - Stone's throw from Anusarn market (covered) where there are food options. - Price of hotel is very reasonable.
- Hotel was under construction and a little messy. - Bedding smells old and had bed bugs. - Carpet also didn't look new although the room was supposedly refurbished.
This is the 3rd time staying at Suringwongse either with a group of friends or with my family. The Deluxe rooms are specious and breakfast privide was good Staffs were very accomodating and courtious. Its always service with a smile.Location superb in the heart of the Night Bazaar. If you are seeking for a value for money hotel, dont look beyond Suriwongse Hotel
Only negative view I have is the flow of water from bathroom shower which could due low pressure.
Wish the approach road to the hotel was a bit more elegant.
Location was the best in city. Staff super friendly. Food was okay.
No pool Tried to get me to pay for airport transfer twice and wouldn't listen to reason
staff are friendly, nice room, good service, near night bazaar
it's the perfect location which is nearest to the famous night market while it's quiet inside and good for sleepy. you will not feel boring at the night at all. The Thae Gate is also in 10 minutes walk. it's also convenient to find a good place for dinner as the opposite are two international restaurant serving thai and italia cuisine. Impressive on friendly staff, spacious room and professional service
The batch room is a bit small and the furniture is old.
1. The location. Right next to the night bazaar. Convenient stores and fast food restaurants nearby. 2. The hotel environment is calm and relaxing.
Here are the disappointments: 1. About one week before my trip, I did request for connecting rooms as we are traveling in a group of 4. I was told that there was no connecting superior rooms. It’s OK, I didn’t probe further as they promised rooms next to each other. On arrival, I did try to ask for connecting rooms again but the staff gave me another reason for not able to provide as the hotel is full during that period. I was hoping for a more consistent answer though. Was surprised to find out that one of the rooms was part of the connecting rooms. I was not very happy with it as I have requested earlier but the hotel still unable to arrange for it. Was promised rooms next to each other but ended up about 3 doors away. 2. Door chain lock is not working for room B326. 3. The wall is too thin. We could literally hear every single word my neighbours said. Not a pleasant experience for not getting a good night’s sleep. 4. I have left some coins in the bathroom. After room make-up on the next day, the coins were gone. 5. THIS IS THE MOST RIDICULOUS DISAPPOINTMENT EVER. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: As mentioned, the door chain lock is out of order for room B326. Feeling insecure, I had put a stool just behind the door. This is to prevent somebody from coming in when we are asleep. At least we can hear some noise if the room is being broken into. This is our usual practice when staying in hotels. Whether or not there is a door chain lock or not, we put something behind the door. Our worst nightmare has come true when I caught somebody opening our door room at 4.30am!! Thanks to the moving stool which emits noise when being pushed, I saw a tall and thin male at the doorway. I couldn’t see his face due to dim lights. I yelled at him and he said ‘sorry’ in a sing-song voice while closing the door. I felt so unsafe the entire night. Again, I didn’t get any sleep after this ordeal. 6. The tour desk is such a rip-off! We were asking for the direction to Warorot Market.
The main entrance & lobby..is does not reflect a grand hotel like Suriwongse
Friendly and helpful staff, excellent location, generally clean, renovated from previous stay...
breakfast ..... need improvement housekeeping .... doesn't clean the washroom at times.
price and location.
The entrance for the main reception being on the rear of the hotel, this not a criticism just strange.
