Everything the fine touches were very special
It's a nice and comfortabe, also a good location in the old city, we liked it because it's simple with no techno Style , it's for someone who is looking for relaxing
Great location and ambience. Friendly accommodating staff.
Bathroom lamp and entry 'arch' too low for someone my height ... 187cm Kept hitting my head (
Location, Decoration, Staff, Breakfast, Swimming pool, Wifi.
They didn't have any special detail with us in our honey moon....not even some flowers... And the room was a little small but very nice decorated. Restaurant & Bar a little expensive.
Tamarind Village is a quiet and comfortable sanctuary in the centre of the busy old town. The staff were friendly and professional and the food at the restaurant was fresh and good. Highly recommended.
The airconditioner struggled at times but not a big issue.
A great location, beautiful rooms, very clean, rich and tasty breakfast , and on top of everything a high level service
Lovely place in the old city. The staff are wonderful and the food is excellent. Because we were booking late during high season the only rooms available were the cheap ones. Much too small and not good value. Very high quality though. I suspect the better rooms are wonderful and would stay here again, but not in the cheap rooms.
Our room was just too small. It may have been OK as a single but cramped as a double. Only room for a bedside table/lamp on one side of the bed, and no chair in the room. (When I asked for one, the staff brought it immediately.)
Charming welcome while checking in. Helpful staff. Excellent location for the Sunday Night Market.
... absolutely every thing !... we like the staff, we like the decoration, we like the food, we like the swimming pool, we like the spa, we like the smile of the manager and the owner... we like really every thing...
The location is very nice. It has a good restaurant, food and breakfast. The swimming pool is very nice. It is a good option for whom visiting Chiang Mai.
- it was based in the centre of the old city, very convenient - relaxing pool and surroundings - quiet and away from the street hustle and bustle at the end of the driveway - would definitely stay there again
I've stayed at many of the best hotels throughout Thailand and this is among my favorites. The design is charming, the staff is so kind and gracious, and the food (especially from the specialties menu) is superior to even the most exclusive thai food restaurants in Bangkok. Transport from the airport is 120 Bhat with the standard taxi service. Upon arrival you are provided with a refreshing drink and a voucher for a brief but relaxing massage at the spa. the standard room is cozy and the atmosphere on the grounds is friendly and laid back. Each afternoon, craft activities are offered in the open lobby or garden for guests to participate and learn about the artisanship of the Thai culture. Five minute hand massages are also offered for guests relaxing by the pool. The room amenities were unique to chiang mai which included locally hand made soaps and lotions, stationary, etc. The compound is quite secure so i was not concerned leaving my items in the room. An in room safe was provided and I also used the manager's safe for larger items. They offer access to a variety of excursions and set us up with an excellent private guide for two days. This is a perfect retreat in Chiang Mai.
The area and the pool were quite large and staff was very professional.
Nice room interior, but rooms a small.
The Tamarind Village was a perfect choice for us. This was our second visit to Chiangmai, and we definitely preferred this location within the walled city versus being outside of it. We stayed in a secong floor room facing the courtyard that was quiet, and our bed was very comfortable. The staff was very professional and friendly, and our favorite was Komin in the restaurant! We had a great experience here, and we would stay here again without giving it a second thought!
The shower water pressure fluctuated a bit off and on, but it was not even something we considered reporting to the staff.
Fantastic location and yet feeling really away from the bustle of the city. Lovely grounds, good food and local style rooms made this stay a real pleasure.
Can't think of anything significant.
Beautiful hotel. A Gem in the Old City. The best food I had in Chiang Mai. Excellent breakfast buffet. Great restaurant. Lovely room. Nice live music at the restaurant. Good air conditioning.
Always something really great going on here. From music outside the restaurant to informal classes on flower folding. The staff was incredibly nice (and attractive). The pool is well designed and a very nice respite from the extreme heat of thailand in the summer. The restaurant is also very very good.
I didn't like having to leave.
Lovely place, best location.
Simply fantastic. At this price point we expected a 'average' hotel, but it was anything but average. Extremely welcoming, delightful room. Two special notes. 1) the hotel's restaurant. Food was an interesting a tasty take on Thai fusion. 2) the spa. Very recommended.
Nothing, wished we could have stayed longer.
The staff was extremely attentive. The breakfast buffet was well stocked, their juices was delicious and fresh. The attention to detail in the rooms was an added touch; there were various hardcover books on Thai culture as well as crafts displayed in the room. I had a 2.5 hr Thai massage and herbal ball at the spa, and I highly recommend it.
I would have liked the mosquito net already placed in my bedroom, I had to request it. I didn't particularly like the swinging door to the bathroom, there's no privacy if I had company. The shower head was extremely powerful.
Great location in the older pert of the city. Nice staff. Comfortable room
We have stayed here three times over a number of years and unfortunately the hotel has gone from excellent to good/fair. The number of rooms has been increased but the facilities are the same, so the pool and breakfast are overcrowded. There is no longer any rapport with the staff. In addition the hotel failed to reply to our emails prior to our visit.
staff excellent. food very good. best location
Hotel locates in the center of old town and surrounding of historical temples. Breakfast provides many choice and are delicious. The hand-made products in souvenir shop are very attractive.
The swimming pool was truely smaller than looked in the picture of hotel- website, it is a cramp! Two faucets over the basin are complicated to use, they are wide-separately located so it takes time to mix cold and hot water, and it always spill water all over the counter when I turn on the tap.
