20 min walk to mosque and halal food
Tapae hotel is not best located. Walking to night market takes 20mins walk. 5mins walk to the nearest bicycle rental store. Tapae hotel has big room, soft bed, unadjustable air conditioning which during the afternoon can be non sufficient cool air, theres a bathtub where u can cool off but the water heater is a challenge to get the temperature right. U only get complimentary drinking water. No coffee or tea, request a kettle if u fancy a hot drink.
Thapae location, reasonable price, bath tub, good breakfast buffet (100 baht extra per person). The deluxe room is definitely worth the slightly higher rate.
Worn beat-up furnishings, dark and dreary hallways, more like a rundown businessman's hotel. Standard room had ants and mushy mattress; wound up changing to a deluxe room. For roughly the same price you can find hotels in the area with more charm and character.
Staff mostly friendly and helpful. Needed a hairdryer and plug adapter and they were ableist provide me with one on request.
Very basic amenities. Shower had poor pressure and sometimes cold. Rooms old and somewhat tatty. Not enough pillows. No safe in room. But hotel does offer safety deposit box at front desk. Breakfast extra B100 but not great.
Easy to get to from airport, only cost 150 baht. Cost of accomodation - very good, for what we got. Location - felt safe walking the streets, especially to get to the night market, which is only a couple of blocks away. Main street has some great shops, to buy jewellery, art and clothing. Room was clean, and enough room for two. Laundry was cheap and done in a day. Breakfast for 100baht, was basic but enough.
Shower height - was very low, either had to limbo to wash your hair or kneel.
The location is excellent, close to markets, old city wall, river etc:The hotel is exactly what you pay for. It is a budget hotel after all, but the rooms are comfy, clean, and everything works... the quality of our mattress was excellent a very good nights sleep. Staff are very accommodating and helpful. The restaurant is good (especially for breakfast.) We will definitely stay there again next year.
The restaurant could stay open a little later at night, the Kitchen closes at 8pm. We loved the breakfasts though. The building and rooms could do with a coat of paint, but overall excellent value for money.
Staff were very helpful and friendly and always available. Very good bang-for-the-buck! English speaking staff.
Possibly the only thing was the toilet worked but flushed really slow, but not enough that it was a problem.
The airconditioning is very easy to use!
Location is good. Quiet
Facilities very basic., but tolerable
This hotel has free of cost Wi-Fi. Rooms are okay to stay.
We were uncomfortable because place is full of mosquitoes. Were not be able to sit in coffee shop and hotel lobby. Lack of security. Old building with old type room locks.
The location, good value for money, and the very friendly management and staff.
Location in the town center, ratio price/services.
Smell very bad Unclean
Convenient location, helpful staff, generous sized rooms and good value for money
breakfast at coffee shop could be improved
Very friendly staff. Good location
Shower head height.
difficult to sleep because of mosquito... there was lots of mosquito even on the 5th floor
Central location, big rooms, good infrastructure.
Noisy guests slamming doors at small hours but hey, its not the hotels fault... The restaurant is to be avoided. For breakfast I had my worst fried rice there and the coffee was terrible. Plenty of places to eat nearby.
Quiet location, full equipped room for a budget hotel.
Only having one lift!
location is good, friendly staff
when you want via hotel too book a tuk tuk to airport, they ask 250TB, but if you just find one in the street, you only pay 120TB, seems hotel bit greedy for his own guests.
The guy at the tour desk was very nice and very helpful and the location is quite good, just between Ta Pae gate and the night bazaar.
The personnel at the reception (3 ladies) was terrible, i never saw one smile from them and they were acting more like the customers were disturbing them. I spend there 2 nights, the rooms are very noisy, you can hear everything from the corridor, the furniture is very old and doesn't look clean. Just before leaving my room for check-out I saw an egg size cockroach crawling on the wall and then going straight into the bed... disgusting! for 850 baht a night i would definitely go for a nice guesthouse instead.
close to Ta Pae gate silent during the night clean room friendly and helpful staff
small portion for breakfast
The location was fantastic! Very solid accommodation.
Location is a must! Near everything like restaurants, night market, temples, and easy to take a tuk - tuk or taxi. Rooms at 5th floor are the best ones!
Sometimes there's no hot water in bathroom.
Good location with easy walk to restaurants and bars
Location is good shops and restaurant near by.
