The stuff and location Is superb! As well as free coffee, tea and snakes 24h !
We have stayed in the hotel twice, for the first stay we have got a huge room with a window on the site of the street. The room definitely could count as 4 star :) however after arriving four days later, we have got twice smaller room with window faces main street. The room was ok, but it was pretty disappointed change after the first stay... Although I would highly recommend the hotel!
Good service, helpfull staff, clean
Nice and really helpful staff. Well located, near to the main tourist attractions of the city. Great breakfast
Mattress just a little hard
Great staff that was very helpful Good location for trips to Khao San Road and the old Bankok centre Free Cookies & Fruit
nothing, we had a great stay!
A group of 5 of us stayed in the family room which was spacious and it had 2 bathrooms ( they're actually connecting rooms). There was a surcharge for the extra person ( 250baht without an extra bed, 500baht without) . Easy access to food, pubs and temples. As you walk out of the hotel , turn right towards khao san road ( about 10 mins). You also have to try the restaurant just across the guesthouse which serves delicious pad thai ( thai delicacy). 7/11 is just a few shops away. Great place to chill out at the pubs nearby and visit the temples and the grand palace. The staff were extremely helpful. Thanks June and "O":). Overall its a great place to stay for those who would like to experience the old city of bangkok and yet not quite ready to backpack!
Very friendly and helpful staff - thank you! Everything looked good, new and clean.
A bit noisy - the window wasn't soundproof and I could hear the traffic on the street like I was on the street and not in the room with the window closed. But it wasn't a big deal - I could sleep anyway :)
Great location Staff friendly Very helpful Next time i m in Bangkok I will stay here!
Nice location away from hectiness of khaosan, free tuktuk, exellent massage spaya opposite of hotel. Good for sleeping jetlag away.
Wall just behind the window, made the room more stuffy.
Location and cleanliness, free snacks and hot drinks provided 24/7 by reception.
Breakfast is really grim, served at the restaurant next door. Watermelon with the muesli wasn't fresh, omelette cold, bacon mistaken with sausage (I wasn't brave enough to try it - it looked so awful), fruit juice too sweet and definitely not freshly squeezed. Block drain in the shower, no cleaning service after first night (I had to chase the cleaning lady for the toilet paper). WiFi - really slow and disconnecting every 5-10 minutes. No hot water tap, except for electric shower.
Friendly, helpful staff. Free tuk-tuk to local attractions but be sure to book in advance. Snacks and tea in the lobby
Some rooms close to street are noisy
- helpful staff with a ready smile - free tuktuk service to sight seeing places nearby - free snacks
- breakfast is good, but we'd enjoyed more if there are choices of Thai varieties
Fantastic Hotel, we had a family room which was perfect of us. Very clean, good beds, great shower. The staff all were very friendly and helpful. We will stay there again and soon !!
only stayed 1 night.
Great location! It's still in a walking distance from Khaosan Road. We have also stayed few days on the Khaosan and it was very loud! I mean VERY...
About 10min walk to Khaosan Road.
Staff Cosiness 24/7 Free tee and snacks at lobby
A bit noisy area
In short: Everything! In detail - apart from all the basics (which just WORK!), it is worth to mention FREE coffee, tea, drinking water, snacks, wifi, pc's and tuk-tuk-service. When you add the very best, kind and knowledgeable staff, you get an outstanding experience in Bangkok. It was my second stay there - my grown up daughters will go there in Summer, and I'll certainly be back again ASAP :-)
Almost everything If there had been a pool the hotel had been excellent
The beds were "hard Thailand standard"
Very good location to explore Bangkok, near the khao san road yet far enough from crowds. Perfectly clean, friendly staff
Some noise from the corridor
This hotel is very well located, close to shops and nightlife, there is a free tuktuk service from it as well. Very clean, well decorated and helpful staff, I found it very good value. I would happily stay there again.
The windows were not soundproof, I could hear some noise from the street. I still slept fine though.
It was our first time in Bangkok. We found the location to be perfect and we walked a lot. The room was comfy with a nice bathroom and very quiet as we were at the back of the hotel. In the lobby, they have some snacks, coffee and tea. The breakfast is quite good with a nice choice.
The bed was too hard.
We stayed at the hotel for two nights upon arrival into Bangkok. The hotel location is superb. We loved this district as it was a bit quieter than other parts of Bangkok (Sukhumvit and Chinatown in particular). The room itself is well appointed and clean with a good size bathroom and decent shower. The bed was comfy (a bit on the hard side, but that is my preference). The staff were very helpful, if not a bit brusk in their efficiency. It was also helpful having the concierge negotiate taxi fares for us as pretty much all taxis refuse to use the meter with Westeners. The breakfast is in a cafe around the corner and featured a load of cook to order dishes. There are loads of street food options in the area with amazing Thai food. It was very nice indeed!
There was no sound proofing in the walls, so one could hear everything in the hallway. The clientele tended to be flashpackers who came home late after a few Singhas thus were a bit jolly and loud! Both nights we were woken multiple times by people shouting.
Good service at everytime. Very nice and helpful staff. Well organized.
Rooms are very loud.
The place was very clean and maintained well. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
We really enjoyed our stay at Tara place. Great location only few minutes walk from the main sites (Grand Palace, Wat Pho, etc.). Staff at Tara place was very friendly and helpful, especially Olive looked after us well, providing advice, maps and recommendations. We would definitely stay again!
The location of the hotel was great, though positioned on a very long and busy street it was a little harder to find at first (especially that our taxi driver dropped us off on the other end of this street).
Great location! Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Walking distance to Khaosan Road and a lot of restaurants. Good value hotel!
Staff members were very friendly and are extermely passionate about customer service. They went out of their way to ensure that we had a pleasant stay. The Tuk Tuk came in handy. The proximity to the restaurants, etc made everything much easier.
