Price Location: 5 min walk to southern Chiang Mai gate. Breakfast sandwiches Basically this hostel is "you get what you are paying for". As we stayed for 6 nights we actually grew into it. Be mindful of silver craftsman or rooster next to hostel, they might start early (7am) but that didn't bother us.
Cleanliness: bathroom and sheets, typically the doona, was simply not clean. We slept under our own towels. Half way through they changed our blankets into fresh ones, but did not changed the ones of my kids who slept in a dorm setup.
Friendly staff (booking tours, how to get around and so on), nice pool, everthing within walking distance and an awesome lobby.
Room needs to be clearner but ok for this price and wireless does barely work on the top floor.
Staff are very friendly and the stay was very good for the price. A range of rooms - we stayed in both a 4 bed dorm and a double room and both had no problems. Nice facilities and seating area in the entrance.
Wifi doesn't always reach the third floor so you end up having to go downstairs - not too much of a problem because the seating area downstairs is very comfortable.
The staff, especially Mimi, made me feel like I was at home.
Good service. Staff are always very pleasant, full of smiles and accommodating.
A lot of potential for growth
Friendly staff, clean, good price for the dorm, swimming pool, good and quiet location
Very pleasant stay. Staff are all so lovely and welcoming and extremely helpful. Would highly recommend! Nice rooms and comfy beds.
The friendly staff who will do anything to help you out, a lovely relaxed atmosphere, the cutest kitten ever. First experience of dormitories at the age of 36 and have to say it was a positive one
The only thing that I would say against this place was the shared shower in dormitory was not that clean, but for £3 pounds a night and no other complaints I could get past this as was only a two night stay
Staff best friendly
No wifi in room.
Wonderful, lovely and hilarious staff. Otto the kitten Swimming pool :)
staff very nice reception. good location, swimming pool. price and quality are very good
bad in the bathroom sink, perpetual obstruction, window in the room overlooks the economic block, very noisy in the morning
The toilet was really bad smelling and the room wasn t clean
A very comfortable place to stay that isn't right in the middle of old town yet very close and convenient. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
I stayed in dormitory which was very nice, but didn't seem to be cleaned during my 2 night stay. The towels are made of synthetic fabric, which wasn't very absorbent in addition to them being overly fragrance infused, which I am very sensitive to, so that was a little unfortunate.
It's a really good service, kind friendly staff. Cozy home.
Noisy. Old ugly bankets.
General Decoration is nice, full of Thai style.
No hot water for shower, wifi is only available in lobby.
Nice location for a little quiter area of the city, but a short walk from everything you need really. As a hostel, very good and nice travelers visiting this place.
We spent 12 nights there, and only once they cleaned our room. And even then, we had to ask for it separetly. The staff dont speak much english, better to learn some thai. Also the worst thing, is that the lady who is kind of half-owner in the hostel, is terribly greedy. Do not trust her in anything she says, except that the prices she asks for are truly that high. Doi Suthep trip through this hostel costed 500 bht, but if you take a songthaew by yourself it´s only 80 bht.
