Beautiful rooms with huge bed, and the best bathroom ever. Quiet, clean, minimal, and eco-friendly accomodation in beautiful surroundings and a really great location. Very nice dogs too. :) (The sound of the generator is not too bad, and it's off during the night.)

Would be great to have some sort of ATM or card payment option. Hot/warm water in the bathroom would be a plus but really not neessary.

Back to nature; Relaxed environment; Dara and Chaya the two lovely dogs; The lovely cook and other personnel; The location; The wake up call when the sun rises, crickets or other animals all around the tent; The sunset on the beach with a nice drink and the company of the 2 dogs; The kayak tour around the island; A good lesson of life: we are not anymore used to live simply in contact with nature (snakes and other unknown insects!); it took us some time to adapt (specially when you need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, outside the tent..). We are very happy we did this experience!

We stayed 5 nights and the tent has not been cleaned once during our stay. Not for every one! living so close to nature ( with all kinds of animals!) is not always easy!

A wonderful location, warm water, pretty good food, several activities available, excellent massage, and very nice guests looking for similar eco friendly locations and quiet places. We had a nice rest.

We did not appreciate the generator's noise from 5 pm to 10 pm, the big bugs during dinner, and climbing the top of the mountain at night almost in the dark to find our bungalow (only for the big bungalows). Every activity must be paid separately, and that adds up, as well as the 10% service charge and 7% tax.

Perfectly in the nature and you feel calm and relaxed. The beach is small but nice. The island is like a small paridise. I would love to come again.

I little bit more variety on food would be good seems like only a very few standart dishes which are done good up to standart but not really surprisingly good. Also I feel the boot ride and kanu rental is a bit expensive.

If you are looking for luxury camping than this is the place for you! No flushing toilets, no electricity (at least for most of the day), and no doors! Plenty of relaxing to do when you are left to return to nature in such a comfortable way

You can only purchase food from the restaurant - this isn't really that bad, as the food is amazing, but you are limited to times. Prices seem high but are in line with other resorts.

It's a place to relax away from the daily busy life... The bungalows.. The food was amazing... Very helpful staff and you could enjoy a walk to town.. Romantic place perfect for a couple..

The beach is not very good if there's low tide.. Transportation from Phuket to Tenta Nakara is a bit costy but I believe it's worth it.. You need to take a car to Pong Pao Pier (around 600 Baht per trip from Patong Beach) and then you go by a long tail boat to Tenta Nakara (600 Baht per trip)

Tent-bungalows is a very nice concept - it is almost like staying outside with all the benefits of views and sounds of nature but protected form mosquitos and other unpleasant creatures. In dry season it is cool at night thanks to the wind. Bungalows are well designed, with nice open air bathroom, comfortable big bed and veranda with a hammock and place to seat. Between bungalows there are many tropical plants growing which looks nice and gives you more privacy. The restaurant serves very good dishes. We like also the whole eco concept of this resort. It would be fantastic if placed in some more remote place.

Probably the whe worst thing that spoiled the whole experience is noise. Just to mention two biggest problems. One source (which hopefully will soon disappear) of it is generator. If it were placed far away from the bungalows or surrounded by some sound proof wall it would be much better. But it is located very close and in some bungalows the noise is it unacceptable, in others futher away, not nice but bearable. They start generator 6-10 pm and also during a day if needed. The other thing that makes this place noisy is the location. It is close to other islands, so there is a lot of traffic on the sea. Additionally there is jet ski rental on nearby day beach... So, as we were looking for "nature", "seclusion", "retreat", etc, it was a bit of dissappontment.

We stayed there for one night only because we were hesitated and not sure about the place. It was a huge mistake!! TenTa Nakara IS for everyone!! Everyone who likes nature! It is a place to go to relax and to run away from the busy life. it is romantic and you can chill and enjoy the view. The beach was really nice and private as well. the stuff were really nice and helpful. The food was delicious and the cocktails were tasty. The tent was simple and cozy! You feel like you are back in time when electricity was unavailable and other complicated stuff too. The walk to the village was lovely and especially to see the amazing pier there. PS: I you are not afraid of dogs, I suggest you to take one of the dog there (the resort has 2 adorable dogs) on a canoeing trip. And don't forget to bring a torch, because it is really dark at night and you can use it while walking around. The only two complains we had that to bed was HARD!! Like really HARD!! and too many steps to the room and it is quite dark at night.

    1) The Bed is very hard 2) Too many steps for elderlies.

We really enjoyed our three day stay here. We liked the isolation and found it to be a great option so close to Phuket. (Hated the crowds and congested beaches there) The tents were basic but comfortable and clean. Our tent was listed as see view but I think the garden has grown up and I'd say it was really garden view.( #7) They are well sealed so no bug problem. The attached bath was very adequate and the cool water refreshing. The food was fantastic. I found it to be some of the best we had our entire stay in Thailand. As far as price, I thought it was very fair and reasonable especially with the fact everything is brought in daily on a boat. And for the quality it was a bargain. The beach was nice, clean and plenty of sun/ shade options. The water is a challenge at low tide but a walk a 100meters down the beach takes care of that. We walked to the day use beach - don't waste your time unless you're bored and just want the walk. Our beach was much better and not crowded. The staff was friendly enough and helped with any request we had, but rather reserved. I would definitely stay here again - it's very comfortable roughing it.

The overall story and signs everywhere. it's an odd felling but I expected to see Oz behind a curtain. There is obviously someone orchestrating a 'feel good enjoy life' theme but from the low key staff it seems surreal. But that actually added to the interest of the place. Not a major negative point - just an observation.

-Disconnect from novelty\modernity and pollution. - Location - Concept is awesome - Bungalow view and furnishing were priceless. [#B13] - 5 Electricity hours per day. - Music in the lobby and the chase-lounges on the beach.

the bathroom wasnt covered with Net cieling food portions were not appropriate

A wonderfull eco-concept place, possibility to actually deep into unspoiled jungle life, very quiet and apart from everything :), very friendly staff, nice authentic cuisine. NB! There is NO nightlife, shopping, trivial comfort - actually it`s a tent, without electricity except for several hours in the evening, loud music, any entertainment - you are welcome if you want to totally switch off the civilization and merge with nature.

Be careful when arriving in low-tide - there are many rocks in the water that can damage your feet. Abcense of any other dining options is a small minus, though this also makes this place so secluded.

Pretty much everything. The Hotel is located on a beautiful Little Island, just perfect for calming down within a pretty Environment. The Bungalows are simple, but idyllic and clean. And the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Food is delicious.

    Nothing. It was perfect!!!!

Amazing location - quite and close to nature. Bungalows are specious and very comfortable. Wonderful staff, delicious food. Perfect place to slow down and relax. Wonderful experience to stay in bed and listen to the surrounding noises of nature, not interrupted by any other sound.

Tenta Nakara is simply paradise lost, Everything was even better than we expected; very nice bungalows, spectacular views, good food, beautiful beach and friendly staff. The owner Paul and his wife are really nice people. One day we´ll go back, that´s certain. Bert - Anna - Jordi Groeneveld
