Score from 549 reviews Excellent
great facilities with friendly staff
outdoor dining area needs upgrade, floor uneven with pavers missing.
The rooms are a bit basic but comfortable. There was a little mould problem in the bath but I saw it on almost every place but I've stayed on Thailand. The staff was helpful and kind. Our kids really loved the and the beach, although its unswimmable is fun to stay.
WiFi connection wasn't stable in our room. We had to stay next to the door or on the porch. The connection was slow.
we upgraded to a beach villa and I would encourage other guests to do the same. We had two showers and a bath in the bathroom and an enormous bed that looked onto the beach.
The staff have limited English and so requesting directions or places of interest was difficult. Lots of flies around the breakfast area that could be solved with an insect repellent candle or spray.
location was amazing, right on the beach, fabulous pool with bar area & food available until 10pm. Bars, restaurants all a minutes walk outside the resort. room was large, good air con, comfy bed waiters & barstaff were excellent, very attentive and friendly great breakfast selection, dinner was gorgeous also on the beach - delicious fish & thai dishes...yum lovely atmosphere in the hotel, bustling but relaxing. great wifi connection
bathroom didnt have aircon, was always extremely warm
Beautiful resort on hey he be each and nestled away from the noise on the main road through Lamai
The brown ocean water!!! The first day, the water was clear. But our second and third days, it was a disgusting brown. I had been to Lamai before and there was no brown water. So I went online and found that the sewage treatment plant is no longer operating, as of a few years ago. And guess where the waste ends up... Which is a shame because this resort was very nice!
Very friendly personnel. And when our son was sick the personnel organised (free of charge) transport to local hospital. Personnel was also helpful to change booking dates and prices for some day trips we had organised outside the hotel. Hotel is clean with great location on the beach and just off the main street with many local shops, bars and restaurants. When there was a power failure on the main grid, the hotel was one of few with own generator which ensured full services (except internet and tv).
Wifi was slow. Pool was nice (but a bit small).
A very comfortable hotel providing the right balance of location, facilities and value. Basic but very clean rooms and a good location on the beach and central to the restaurants, bars and shops of Lamai. Breakfast was fine and the staff were very helpful. Of all the hotels in this area of Lamai I don't think there was better.
right on the beach and good food and drink and staff were friendly
was very unhelpful when I needed to check out 1 day early I let booking.com now 5 weeks before they phoned the hotel and then told me nothing can be done when checking in I said about this and they said I would have to contact booking.com when I said I did and they said you said no so I hate to pay and no refund was up set with this
Great breakfast, nice pool, nice staff, good spa, wonderful bed, location is close to center of lamai
Low Water pressure in shower, no hot water, beach was not very nice and sea not clean
Local to shops, bars and is directly on the beach. The breakfast offered a very good selection, Buffet stile. nice and friendly staff.
The room looked out on to a wall. Not very pleasing to the eye. A big shame and a let down when walking past all of the other nice rooms to get to mine.
Excellent location, very friendly & helpful staff.
Noisy air conditioning
Good location, nice clean rooms.
1) Overpriced transfers to/from airport (800TBH instead of 500 you get at the touring agency 10 meters close to the hotel). 2) Worst cocktails in Samui, don't buy at their restaurant. 3) Beach full of garbage and staff does not care. 4) Breakfasts are bad. Same beacon they roast day after day. All these things must be improved to justify the price.
nice place to spend a relaxing holiday with family. i suggest to book a villa with a nice view of the swimming pool and the beach. The staff is friendly and the atmosfere nice. BBQ Fish SET for dinner was delicious.
The room is not the best solution if you wanna havea nice view and the rooms looklittle bit old
I thought the staff were very condescending and not very accomodating. I booked a family room and listed out children's ages (5, 3 and 1). We were given rooms at different ends of the complex which was ridiculous as we couldn't be separated from our children. "Helping" was putting us on the same floor. Eventually we were put in interconnecting rooms but it seemed to be treated as a judge favour. I would never ever have booked a "family" room if I had known it was just two rooms in a hotel. The facilities were tired. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for people with young children.
Baby cot provided was unsuitable for babies and unsafe. When requested, the hotel would not replace.
Beautiful resort, that looks like its pictures. We stayed in a Thai house villa which was lovely. We upgraded to a Beach front villa for a few nights but actually preferred the villa that was set further back, as it was more private. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was very good. It's a great location, quiet, on the beach but only a few minutes from the main strip.
A place of serenity in amongst the madness of Lamai Beach.
Nothing at all about the hotel.
We stayed fro more than a week. Proximity to the beach and pool area are excellent. Breakfast has lot of variety, and our kids loved it. Hotel rooms are clean and staff is friendly.
Restaurant cooking, especially on Christmas evening, can be improved. However, due to its central location, various other restaurants are available around the hotel. Not all the rooms have the same views, and some do not have a lot of natural light.
Just perfect! Nice pool, huge balcony and garden!!!
Fantastic hotel - beautiful grounds, fantastic pool, right on the beach, excellent massages, no mosquitoes. Couldn't fault the Thai House Beach Resort. The location is excellent and the beach was glorious. Would definitely recommend
Everything was perfect! the staff was very pleasant, rooms were large and clean, excellent breakfasts, very close to the sea. The hotel is situated in the centre of Lamai beach, so you can go bouth sides and find markets and restaurants.
That was our second time in this hotel. After 2 years they could find our "history" and propose us staying in the same room. And as usual everything was perfect. Staff is very very friendly. Location is very nice. Breakfast is not very rich but it is enough for morning. They have a nice idea to provide guests with beach basket and beach towel which is changing everyday. + a bottle of drinking water everyday.
There is only one negative comment that I have: condition is very loud.
We really liked the pool area and the beach, which both are nice and clean. The hotel is right at the beach and they have sunbeds there for the guests to use. It's a quiet place even though the hotel is directly located on the major shopping street in Lamai. That makes it easy to go out at night, get "street food" or whatever suits you. The breakfast in the hotel was nice as well. And we appreciated that we were offered a "shower room" on our last day even though we had checked out at noon. The staff was friendly.
We didn't like our room (Deluxe Room). It was very basic, the ac was extremely loud and we had to sleep with ear plugs at night. The pictures on the website are kind of misleading when it comes to that type of room. Thai House was the most expensive hotel during our trip but the room was really the most disappointing one. Also, the drinks at the restaurant are quiet expensive. In addition, they add tax to the drinks from the mini bar but don't tell you so until you check out. Wasn't much, but still kind of annoying. I could imagine that there won't be enough sun loungers at the beach/pool when the hotel is fully booked.
Hotel food was of excellent quality.
The service of the staff was slow and the evening entertainment was poor.
