Clean, beautiful rooms for great value, and well looked after by the staff. A lovely part of the island, couldn't get closer to the beach, restaurants etc, helped me hire a scooter at a very good rate, which meant I could explore the island from this lovely base. Great swimming pool, and service. Recommend to anyone.

Close to the beach and shops. The staff was very help full. The Sun loungers on the patio were perfect overlooking the beautiful garden and swimming pool.

Everything about the place was very relaxing and the staff were very helpful.

The only areas for complaint were that the mattress was too hard, the shower not very good and too many tress around the pool so sunbathing there was not really an option.

The garden is fantastic, swimming pool was clean and staff was helpful. There are a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. Internet access was fast, I could use a VideoSkype with no problems.

The beach for swimming is 10 minutes drive away. Breakfast was poorer but we had a choice of several types. I liked a fruit breakfast with cereals.

It is a 4 star resort with a 3 Star Price. This was our favourite resting place trough our whole trip in Phuket! Gorgeous swimming pool, awesome room with lots of excellent restaurants around the corner.

We had an amazing stay at The Thai Palace Resort, Our bungalow was fab, exceptionally clean, and with stunning surroundings like orchids growing out of the palm tree trunks just outside our front door it felt like we were in the middle of a jungle setting but very well kempt , with just 6 steps to the amazing waterfall pool we could not have asked for better , the rooms were kept exceptionally clean and any probs or queries we had were seen to immediately , we loved our stay here and would definately recommend this tropical oasis to anyone as this would suit from the youngest to the oldest as no hills or access difficulties , the staff were helpful and efficient the food was great and plentiful , the ladies in the breakfast room work their sox off with the morning breakfast rush and they are always polite and welcoming . Rawai itself is a lovely place and the resort is very well situated as you come out the front of the resort to find all you need and desire for a great time in Rawai great restaurants , boat trips , massage , there is even a market selling very all kinds of goodies and very good prices . We loved our stay at the Thai Palace Resort and would love to return one day .

    Leaving !

Good setting and location.it has beautifully gardens. Pool is on small size with limited number of Sun beds in beautiful setting. Location is right on Rawai sea front, easy for good choice of bars and eating.

Breakfast is a lottery, understaffed and coffee disgusting, chill out or eat out. Main problem was music noise from a bar until 2am. We stayed in villa 22, actually only 5, rest are apartments, I'd advise these. I was told in April they will redevelop and remove the 5 villas to build lots of apartments.

I thought the room was spacious ,comfortable and plenty of storage space for clothes. The staff at all times were very pleasant and always willing to please.

The sun loungers due to the jungle style gardens were mostly in the shade, and as the sun moved so did the shadow which left only 2 or 3 for those people wanting to sun bathe. The shower in the room was of low water pressure which would have been better if higher.

The hotel itself and its garden are rather nice (tough a bit noisy at times when the families with young children decide to use the pool); and in general there is a good feeling about the place.

The coldness of the staff at the beginning of our stay; until we started to tip everyone, the staff appeared tired and generally fed up, the restaurant staff gave us a few rough days until we decided to officially complain :) power cut (overnight), shower waste not working etc were problems which the staff dealt with superficially, without hurry and a certain attitude. I believe it's all to do with the fact that Phuket got overcrowded in the last few years and the services don't always keep up... and overall, Phuket is expensive!!!

Rawai Beach is a sleepy little beach town that has seemingly not yet been overcommercialized as other parts of Phuket have become. We stayed in the bungalow which was gigantic and clean. The grounds and pool area was really beautiful. Location wise- you were right across the street from the beach, 7-11, many restaurants on the beach. The breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly (although we had a little bit of trouble communicating with them on how to get to the Rassada pier).

The fragrance when you enter the room hits you like a brick. It was really intense. The beach nearby is not really a swimming kind of beach. The area felt like a ghost town- and food was about 4 times as expensive as Chiang Mai, which we weren't prepared for. Even though there were restaurants and bars there, we didn't see many people at all. We stayed in Phuket to go to sea kayaking in Phang-nga Bay one day, and then take the ferry to Phi Phi the second day, not realizing how far Rawai is from the respective piers (about an hour taxi drive). We had a bit of trouble communicating with the staff on how to get to the respective piers. We also didn't know it would be such a problem to get to Phi Phi with just a night's notice. It was an arduous affair involving multiple staff debating in the morning how we were going to get there. Thank god we called a taxi in time. Although we didn't have tickets bought in advance, the driver just told us to get in and he'd get us there before the ship left- apparently he had some hook up at the pier that the staff at Thai Palace didn't :). Buying tickets in advance for Phi Phi Ferry is highly advisable, and cheaper than going through Thai Palace's travel agent.

Very friendly staff, beautiful surroundings, pool and french restaurant which offers delicious food.

No beach, you have to hire a motorbike to get to the closest one (4km) the one in front of the resort is "parking place" for long boats.

Nice beds, clean room, the tropical garden scenery around the pond, the pool was great. Napat in the reception was great. Always smiling, always willing to help. On the other hand she was the only one at the hotel that really cared about the guests. Room tips: If you don´t need a bungalow, request a standard room. They are placed in a much more appealing part of the garden than the deluxe rooms are.

We only stayed there for two nights, but couldn´t sleep well neither of them. There was a night bar or discoteque nearby playing loud music until 3 or 4 am. We didn´t see much of the staff during our stay. The plastic covers were never removed from the sunbeds and they were constantly wet because of the rain showers in the night. And the waterfall at the pool was out of order most of the time. The breakfast choice included in the rate is very poor. The restaurant offers a wider choice, however, there is no sign that you will have to pay extra for the richer options. As we chose a full American breakfast we were charged 100 baht extra/person (without prior notice from the hotel staff). Also, I had to pay the full price for the breakfast for my 5 year old who stayed at the hotel for free (in existing beds). The hotel staff should tell this to the guest at least at the time of check so there is no surprise like this.
