Everything!! The Staff were so helpful.
April 23, 2015
Room was quite small (although very cute)
Staff, location, grotto running through the hotel, free airport shuttle
April 19, 2015
The staff are amazing. Great breakfast will lots of choice. Close to everything but far enough away to enjoy privacy. I can't wait to stay again.
April 13, 2015
Very loud building works going on across the road from the hotel. At the pool you felt as though you were on the building site (this is not the hotel's fault but annoying nonetheless!) Small, cold pool that could not accommodate many guests.
Friendly, helpful staff. Easy to walk to the old town as well as the night market

Too many mosquitos
The quirky design and friendly staff
April 10, 2015
Everything was very close to town. Nice and quiet! The chickens next door make you feel like your out in the country!

Mosquitos in the room, this needs to be addressed.
Really liked the feel and authenticity of the hotel. Staff was second to none, had excellent knowledge of the local tours and very good English. Great breakfast and really went the extra mile with the airport shuttle service as well as a hourly bus service to the night bazar.

Not much really.
The quirky and quality hotel and room fittings, the breakfast, the outdoor water area, just a great interesting place with free shuttle service to town.

the noisy Chinese tourists during the last days of my stay.
spent a week at Thannatee in March 2015. Loved it! The room is just perfect. The decor is full of details to fit in the style of the hotel. I had a small balcony on the last floor. Was a bit noisy due to the construction on the other side of the road, but that's not the hotel's fault. Reception was very helpful, giving me good advices, always asking how things went(cooking class or elephant rescue camp they'd organised for me). Felt like a family. Their driver picked me up from airport. They have a free bus shuttle do various spots in. The city. Very useful and effective.

The room we stayed in was a little small but this was in fitting with the style of the hotel so didn't spoil our stay in any way.
The hotel is really unique and we had a lovely experience staying here. The huge positive were the staff (especially the receptionists) who helped me book ahead at another hotel when we travelled out of chiang mai and when we returned they arranged for our car to be collected from the hotel and transferred us to the airport free of charge (even though we'd checked out two days prior).
March 12, 2015
We picked this boutique because it felt a little more like Thailand than many of the other more modern designs. The rooms were a bit smaller than we expected but the decor was nice. Especially loved the very nice and attentive staff who were very helpful and friendly.
March 9, 2015
Booked the previous day to use the free shuttle to the airport, but bad reception communication meant the car intended to take us was given to another guest. Solved by the manager.
Excellent value for money, welcoming staff, well presented room and surroundings.

Our original room was supposed to look out on the street to the building site but the staff was nice to change it to the pool side. Pool has only 3 sun loungers, but if you are early then it is fine:)
Non standard boutique hotel, with the lovely pond and the waterfall, we were in the room conveniently close to the pool. Lovely decoration throughout and very helpful staff. Nice breakfast too.

wonderful building, helpful and happy staff, had a great stay! Very tempted to come back soon :)
February 15, 2015
Not a big deal but you had to log back into the Internet every time you returned to the hotel.
The hotel was lovely. The free ride to the bus station was an added bonus. Breakfast was excellent

The staff were exceptionally helpful. The hotel was in a quiet location. We'd definitely use this place again.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff in this quaint hotel. The place has character by the bucketful. It's hidden away from the busy streets but still within walking distance of the old city.....absolutely gorgeous.

-room is very small but comfortable
-I don't know the way to hotel and I made a call then they send me a free shuttle bus and pick me up at the airport. I don't know how to go to night bazzaar then they send me a free shuttle bus. I don't know how to go to sunday market then they send me a free shuttle bus. I changed my hotel but didn't sure about the location then they send me a free shuttle bus. This is the best service I have ever seen. - Very close to Chiangmai Gate so that i can bought fresh fruits every morning in the market.

Wifi kept dropping out
The look of the hotel very pretty
January 25, 2015
the breakfast could be better in a hotel like this, but still ok
we chose the king room with the jacuzzi - amazing!, the staff is really friendly, the shuttle service worked so good and they even took us to the airport for free after our stay, the design is amazing surrounding you with water

This wasn't the hotels fault as they don't know how you sleep but the bed was rock hard, no lie it was like we were sleeping on the floor. The room and pool area are very boutique (we take the word boutique now as the meaning for small) very cramped and there were only 4 sunbeds. Lastly there are major building works going on and we had a front row view of it from our balcony. I don't think they will be finished until the end of the year so if you are thinking of booking please ask for a room near the pool, it's much quieter there.
The staff were amazing, they were all too pleased to do anything for you. The style of the hotel was what attracted me to them and what made it even more special was that it was in an area where local people had their homes and shops, so you got a feel for the place a lot quicker. Chiang Mai is a wonderful place to visit and would go back in a heart beat.
