Very good location in old town - you can reach any destination by foot. A lot of good cafe around - specially for breakfast and vegetarian. Very nice, handsome and helpful owners of the hotel. I book excursion at the reception and on departure receive taxi to the airport for free as complement - it was very nice.
Everything was ok.
Great location, nearby the night bazzar and everything. The owner is very helpful and kind, and the room is very cozy and clean, love it.
Clean, simple room. Good location.
I thought the room was rather basic and unremarkable for the price. I've stayed in nicer places in both the Old City and in Nimman for less money.
Great guesthouse, very friendly owners, location is excellent. The price is a tad higher than other guesthouses in the area, but it's clean, tidy and feels like home.
Although it did not effect me, I found the guest house policy of having a joiners fee would stop me staying there again. They should advice future guest of this before they book as this is not normal in chiang mai. also the bar prices are a bit high
Britannia is a very pleasant place. Gesthouse is located in a quiet part of old town, few minutes walk to many attractions. Owners speak fluent english. My room was very spacious, sunny and clean. I've booked a tour here, they weren't pushing it at all, gave ma a lot of choice, and helped me to get lower prices then other participants of the trip.
Location in old town is great A lot of restaurants near by
You have to take off your shoes in the whole hotel
Great stay couldn't complain lovely couple who sent us on the fabulous elephant care home trip
Very helpful staff, nice rooms, cleaned. Close to city center.
Very friendly guy running the hotel, very helpful and accommodating, great location with two nice bars opposite for a drink. Good size rooms.
Really nice area, quaint and quiet. Short walk to lots of nice restaurants and bars- very friendly staff, good laundry, wifi and aircon, comfy bed.
My boyfriend was badly bitten by bedbugs- common problem we know but still not pleasant. We were under the impression our room would have a fridge but it didn't... Not sure whether we got this wrong but would have been nice on a hot day to keep cool drinks in your room.
Great location, owners where so kind booked us on two trips one with elephants that was out of this world and the lion kingdom again great where picked up and dropped off at the door, and because we booked a trip they gave us a courtesy taxi to airport on departure, the pub on the corner does the best breakfast in chaing mai, the rooms are clean and its very quiet and good location if at chaing mai again wouldn't hesitate i would definetley stay there x
Top location, top service, spacious room, clean and cozy atmosphere. Top choice.
The owners are very helpful and friendly. You can book everything at reception. The rooms are cosy and spotless clean. Everything is in walking distance, walking streets (market), restaurants, supermarket. You really should visit the Nature Elephant Park - this people rescue sick and bad treated elephants and give them a good life - both; The Britannia and the Nature Elephant Park are highly recommended!
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Big room with great AC and Wifi and a cute little balcony with clothes drier and seating area. Really good location near to bars and restaurants and they offer free transport to the airport if you book a tour with them (we booked a cooking course, which was excellent)! Would highly recommend.
Room was a little dated and there is a tiled picture of a naked Thai lady in the bathroom, which some people may find offensive.
Owners are terrific Convenient location Great price/value ratio Very good wifi connection
Good location, very friendly and helpful staff. Good wifi signal and lots of goid; cheap places to eat breakfast or meals and easy to access wider Chiang Mai.
Friendly staff, room design, lovely balconys
The bed was so worn in that we sunk, we saw other rooms open and the mattresses looked better so maybe just this one bad, ours just from sight was dipped and it was so hard, shame. My shower was cold but my husbands was hot. Felt a bit vunerable with no safe and no extra lock on the door. Wifi was bad reception.
Great, very friendly service!
Staff Location Cleanliness. Acess to trips
The location is good. There are many bars and restaurants around the guest house.
the room facilities were a bit old
good location! great value for money
I really enjoyed staying in this guesthouse. Can't think of a better location, close to some lovely restaurants in a friendly area right in the heart of the city. Kind and warm-natured owners, happy to help if needed. Good size clean rooms. Would definitely choose to stay there again.
I liked everything. It hasn't got all the facilities of some of the more pricey guesthouses in the area but had everything I needed.
It felt like home! The owners were extraordinary friendly and helpfull. Very clean rooms and facilities. Countless Restaurants and Bars were just Around the corner. Located in the Heart of the Old City.
Nothing. We highly recommend the britannia as the perfect budget guesthouse.
The owners were helpful with local info. While there were a few issues (below), the Britannia was good value for the money.
The water went out for about 8 hours one hot day. This was the fault of the municipality, but the issue is apparently chronic and the hotel didn't have a full water tank. The mattress was so well used it was bowed. The internet was slow.
