beautiful hotel ，breakfast is ok.it's very comfortable to sit at the living room enjoying the seaview and sea wind. Stuffs are pleasant to help you.
The room is so big and with some Mosquitos, and the swimming pool is also having some tree leaves but these leaves canbe accepted. Hotel is a little bit far from the downtown. What's the most important, chaweng beach is not as cleaning as one year ago, the wave is so dirty for me to get into the sea. Compare with Lamai, though the sand in Lamai is not good than Chaweng, but the sea is cleaner!
Setting and architecture of resort is beautiful; pool apt on second floor with huge outdoor area partly overlooking the coast was great for yoga, star watching etc., (yes, you need mosquito repellent like everywhere on the islands). Quiet end of Chaweng.
Best days of the resort are over; few flaws in the room (ripped bed curtains that couldn't work as mosquito net, old bleached-out beach towels with holes, dysfunctional bathroom door, dirty sink), uncomfortable bed (very hard) and mediocre breakfast (not at all 5*, especially poor coffee), plus "neutral" staff (neither super friendly nor well-informed - didn't know way to golf course etc.), plastic lounge chairs (no wood) at the beach and very basic gym wouldn't convince as high star facility. However, we booked a "great deal" and felt it was good value for money for a couple of days. Only. Dear owner, please do some makeover.
The location is amazing and the staff are wonderful. It's the best holiday we have ever had.
Don't get stung by cabs. 200bht is the most you should pay into town.
Lots of room and nice layout with lots of space. A nice area to stay if you want to get away from the busy streets.
Lots of Mosquitos so just buy or take some insect spray and repellent and you'll be fine.
Brilliant location and excellent rooms, staff were very polite and always willing to help.
Wifi was a bit temperamental at times
staff were fantastic. Location fantastic. I can't fault this place. Just a stunning place to stay.
The only thing I could winge about and I mean it's a tiny tiny pick is our room had no reading light on the bed. Other than that 10 out of 10
Villa lovely, staff could not be more helpful, resort was very well maintained. A really fantastic experience and will definitely stay again next time we are on Samui
Only very small things, lots of mosquitos (the resort staff do put a lot of effort into keeping them to a minimum but do take repellent), would have liked to have seen a bigger selection of hot options at breakfast.
The staff was really friendly, location was perfect
We had very bad WiFi Connection in our room. could hardly connect
Our room was so much bigger than expected, with two bathrooms, a spa and a pool & so much living space. The staff were so helpful and friendly & anything we needed was taken care of very quickly. Close enough to the action to walk, further enough away to no be crowded on the beach.
Nothing. Take me back there!
Private villa, private pool, beautiful bathroom, direct access to the beach, very friendly staff
Villas are a little too close, pool is nice but could be better
Very nice rooms. Interior design and space in the rooms is good. Well located, Only 30 seconds away from a good local thai+chinese restaurant and shop "7-eleven".
The beach (coastline) by the hotel is very narrow, you better walk by the beach a 100 metres to find a better place like beach club. The sunbeds are old and few were broken. Even though there is 2 pools, you won't be able to lie down by the pool as there is no space for the sunbeds.
Location was great. Just a 10 minute walk from the livley part of the beach but still at great atmosphere near the hotel. We had a villa which was amazing
Our pool never got any sun and the beach tide is very far in so hard to get sun if you want to sunbathe. The wifi was very poor always disconnecting and code not always working
Lovely Hotel with great size rooms. Very helpful staff. Good value for money. Ideal if if want to be slightly out the hustle and bustle but close enough to walk..
The main pool there was no sumbeds and knowere to sit.
Got an upgrade to our room.. value for money
Gets boring.. not much people interaction or things to do..
Ken was fantastic, as were all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and really worked hard to make the stay as enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Size of suites
Silly, non-practical mosquito nets in the bedrooms Hotel restaurant is probably due for a cosmetic upgrade. Hotel's snacks at the beach put us off eating at the hotel.
I really enjoyed staying at the Briza Resort. The location is in the main street of Chaweng which makes it easy to take a walk to where you want to be, but it's not smack in the buzz, so when you're home you don't hear all the partying going on. The staff is really friendly and helpful and wifi is freely available throughout the resort. You can also book your trips through them which is very convenient. I like the setup.
The only thing that really annoyed me was the bed bugs. It bit me all over my backside. The mattress was really hard too. When they sorted that out I'll definitely stay there again.
The hotel had everything you need to feel specail the staff paid attention to detail. We stay in 6 hotels whilst in koh sumai and for the price this hotel came out tops. for what u get its a no brainer all hotels we stayin was 5 star but this was the cheapest but offered the most
Everthing was good no negatives. when we arrive 2 gentle men was arguing about there stay and I had to convince my wife to stay there. The guys was just trouble markers on holiday who didn't want to pay at the end of there stay and tried to blame the hotel for having mozzie but we are in a hot country.and you can stop mozzies all the time unless u are living in a capsule so they need to stick to cold country's as hot country don't suite them
Outside living space, plunge pool, friendly staff
"Happy new year 2015" sign blocking sea view on beach strip. Need a little maintenance here and there.
Staying in a plunge pool villa at the resort was a great treat. The resort is abs beautifull and the location is perfect, just far enough from the chaweng confusion so you can relax, but close enough when your in that mood (5 mts by the free shuttle car of the resort). Great beach, good for long walks, esp at night with great restaurants. The staff was flawless and always kind and hospitable, so kudos on that!
wifi signal could be improved
The host mr. Ken was a very hospitable and toughtfull person. He enriched the experience of this special place with genuine customer service that other places could learn from. Live music was a big plus. It was like paradise: sitting on the beach, sipping a cocktail, sun setting and great live music on the background.
When checked in the room was filled with Mosquitos we had to call reception and request they spray the room. The breakfast was limited and as it was left out without cover flies all over. The bed was hard and resulted in backache. Rust on the shower and taps. This is a 5 star hotel in the 70s needs serious refurbishment and staff need training. V disappointed that this hotel was listed as 5 star as it most certainly is not.
