A 10-minute walk from Chiang Mai Night Bazaar and Wat Gate Temple, Rimping Village has comfortable accommodations with free Wi-Fi and free parking.
Score from 531 reviews Excellent
Very overpriced mediocre hotel, especially considering location in contrast to hotels based within the old walls of Chiang Mai. Abrupt management, and more dead ants than you can count in the bathroom...
Great receptionist during the day, very friendly and helpful.
The only comment was the location wasn't the most convenient however we had already explored the old city so this wasn't such an issue for us.
The accommodation was very comfortable and the pool was a welcome releif on a hot day. All the staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed only a short walk to Chiang Mai gate in the old part of the city.
they didn't change the sheets once for my entire stay
the location was only 15 minutes walking from the center of town and it was to its benefit that it wasn't in the center of things because you are more exposed to local establishments (and lower prices!)
Good walking distance to the moat and markets but not much within a block or two for dining or drinks
There were a couple of small items I needed help with and they were fixed the same day. It was extremely clean and modern. The room was very comfortable.
small rooms, no coffee or tea, mosquitos
Location, helpful staff
Shower and toilet were side by side but were behind different doors on own room.
Stuff is superfriendly and helpful with everything we asked or needed. Situation is great, 5 min out of bysy and sometimes a bit noisy central. Peaceful area.
No laundry service. Weak internet connection.
Clean and close to the old city around 50 baht in tuk tuk or 20 minutes walking, the staff is kind , is a peaceful hotel.
We asked for one bed and we got twin beds.
The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The space of the swimming pool is very relaxing.
They haven't change our bedsheets even once, bad internet, Mosquitos in our bedroom, asked for the transport to the airport (one of the receptionist) and they wanted to charge us double money, than we paid for the taxi from the airport to the hotel (same distance) when we arrived in chiang Mai. We didn't have breakfast included in our package however asked for the prize at the reception and they charge for it more than anywhere else. Around 10/15 mins walk to the markets.
Location Cleanliness Helpful staff and owner
The hotel is located in an ally off of the old town without a sidewalk. It's about a 15 minute walk to the old town. Would have preferred to be on a Main Street to feel safer
Staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean with lots of storage - wardrobe and drawers
As The Castle is located a little outside the old city and the main tourist spots of Chiang Mai, finding the hotel can be somewhat tricky. Once you got used to it however, it is ok. Our room during our last night had a connecting door to the adjacent room, so be sure to either ask for an "unconnected" room or be prepared to share in some of the conversations of your neighbours...
Good value for money, and it was especially nice to have a small but cute pool area. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The hotel has nice staff. Over all you get value for money but you shouldn't expect too much. The room has a good size but is quite simple.
Good hotel, nice location, renovated, helpful staff
Wifi got interrupted every 2 minutes
Kind & hepfull staff Good location, quiet at night (except for the cats and dogs in the neighbourhood occasionally) Breakfast was good, though perhaps a little expensive
Beds are a bit hard but I have found that at most hotels over Thailand.
Staff are extremely friendly, it's only a short walk to the moat and their breakfasts are delicious!
Very friendly owner, nice hotel not too far from the center.
There is a small pool but it is not for swimming (full of mosquitoes).
Staff was great, helpful in arranging transportation, laundry, and walking instructions. Very nicely designed and gives good atmosphere. Situated in a very quite area, but not too far from the old town and night bazaar (about 10-20 minutes walk).
Very willing to help with arrangements and tours. Pretty good location from old city hidden back a block or two but it's good to walk amongst hidden ally's
We found it quite tricky to find first time, but after that it's great.
Nice little pool and clean rooms with a fridge and bottled water. Staff we're all really friendly. Had a lovely stay here.
I booked for a week but had to leave one day early, I informed the hotel about this many days before but the where not willing to cancel and refund me for the last night. The cleaners left the door open (not just unlocked but open) on the first day. Ran out of soap after a few days and the cleaners never refilled, went down to the reception in an attempt to get it fixed but failed even there.
Good WiFi Cheap
The safe was a bit small (could not fit a 13" laptop in there), but this was not a problem as we could leave it behind reception.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and grounds were very clean Good WIFI Great location A relaxing atmosphere. They let us check in early (about 8am) at no extra cost.
A bit hard to find, but not I'm Impossible
Excellent desk lady? A good small pool, very clean. Pleasant room.
Location a little far from the restaurant, coffe and facilities.
The hotel has the nice staffs and provided useful information. It is a bit away from the main road but is located in a quiet street, so not noisy at all during the night. The room is small but clean and good enough for me as I went outside in the day and only back at night
Clean and friendly
