The location was amazing, right on the beach. Staff were very friendly & helpful.
Requested lift level room online before the trip because of elderly and yet arrange a room at highest 4th floor but the lift ends at 3rd floor. The stairway is dark no lights shine at the steps at all. Given the wifi password in the room menu which is wrong end up i called the reception for the paasword
The wifi network is really poor.furthermore when i get back to the hotel theres no water at the bathroom plus if theres water its really slow.aircon is not that cold.
We stayed at Amari Patong ( a 10 minute walk away) for 3 nights before this, and moved to The Front for our final night because we decided to extend our stay and Amari was fully booked. Our confirmation from bookings.com indicated that the final price with all taxes and service charge included was Thb 7195.50, however upon arrival the reception added an additional charge she said was some sort of tax and the price went up to close to Thb 8k, breakfast not included. We had high expectations for this place, but we're really disappointed. We paid about the same price for our room at Amari Hotel, which had an amazing seaview of the hotel's private beach, daily international buffet breakfast, and all the trappings of a five star hotel, pools, two amazing and reasonably priced restaurants, room service, shuttle service, spa, sunbeds, a quiet clean private beach and even the option of guaranteed late check out at 6pm for a small fee. The Front charges close to the same price but offers shabby lodging with cheap renovations. Their wifi was non existent, toilet was leaking and the floor perpetually wet. The toilet sliding door was jammed and the shower sliding door was falling apart. One of the handles fell off when we tried to slide the door close. While the design of the room is aesthetically pleasing, but the shoddy renovation and lousy materials used just spoiled the whole experience. All style no substance. The location is at the end of Patong beach, where the beach is dedicated to water sports and not suitable for swimming. There is only one reception staff so service is slow and at times we observed her getting so overwhelmed by her workload that she started snapping at guests. Our check in took almost an hour. Late check out wasn't possible. The Front is also quite some distance away from the main shopping street, bars and shopping centers.
Location is good, right in front of Patong beach where the beach activities are.. This portion of the beach has activities being offered such as parasailing and jet skis, but swimming isn't recommended.
Not the room in the picture, $300 more than when I booked and rude check in staff.
You can hear every staps and noic of the neighbors
Location is great
stairs without railing can be dangerous, and wifi keeps dropping
The location and cleanliness
There were no cooking utensils in the kitchen and the price was far higher than the quality of the room
The size of the apartment was good And the master bedroom was a good size
Unfortunately our hotel room was a bit run down. The sheets had small holes in them and the room seemed dirty ( the mirror had brown marks on it that wouldn't come off. If you don't like hard beds then this hotel is not for you! The bathroom was right next to the bed so you could hear people in there. There also seemed to be an issue with the plumbing as at times there was a strong smell that came from the bathroom. It was particularly evident when we had been out all day and opened the door to our room be greeted by the smell. The wifi was at times very slow, unless you used it at midnight! The bottom rooms were right next to the pool, so there was no privacy for those residents, so ask for a room on a higher level. There is also no lift in this hotel so if you have heavy bags or sore knees you may need to rethink this hotel.
The location of this hotel was excellent as the beach was right across the road and it was only a few minutes walk to pubs, cafés and shops. The view from the balcony was fantastic.
Very slow wifi, sometimes not connecting at all, very frustrating!
Modern, clean, spacious, right beside the beach, places to eat close by, friendly staff.
The upper floor rooms were bad. We booked a quad room ground floor but we're allocated on 4th floor. There is no lift or it was out of order. It was very stressful. We were forced to pay more for room on ground floor.
We paid when booking was made online. On arrival at hotel there was no record of payment. The staff made no effort to trace the payment made, we were forced to pay again.
Location great. Staff helpful and friendly .Clean, Comfortable and affordable.
If you want to pay the room with your credit card they will add 10% to your bill, but there was an atm outside the hotel so we used that instead. There is not ONE key to the room, first it's a card (credit card size) to swipe to get you through the entrance of the building, then it's a old fashion metal key to unlock the door to your room, then it's a huge pice of plastic to put in the holder that activates the lights in the room all attached to a thick metal ring. It was a bright red light on the AC in the room that indicated that the filter needed to be cleaned, but under our 1 week stay it was not fixed. There is no shower curtain so you have to sit in the tub when you take a shower. The electrical outlet by the bedside is UPSIDE DOWN under the shelf so even Apple's smallest iPhone charger will fall out after a few hours, the only other outlet is in the bathroom. The speed of the wifi is good in the lobby but almost non existing in the room (room 203), there was a lan port by the bedside but I had no way of testing it with the gear I had available.
The view of the beach from the balcony, much better now without all the crappy beach chairs. The big pink fish they had to the right of the entrance. Fast check-in/out.
the hotel is two buildings and the reception is only located in one so there is no security/staff in one of the buildings. we were in the building with no staff so when a major domestic argument broke out at 5am there was no one there to assist/help despite screaming and yelling for assistance. it was so awful and i was terrified. it seemed to stop for about an hour and a half at which point we thought it had finished and the hotel had dealt with it. we were wrong when it started back up again with loud slamming doors and more screaming. we called the front desk who said they were on their way over. obviously it is not the hotel's fault that someone decided to have a huge argument but had there been some staff/security in our building it may not have happened. additionally, the doors in generally were terrible, with no slow stoppers on them. we often heard slamming just as people were casually entering or leaving their rooms. furthermore, there was not a lot of room in the bathroom to hang towels so one of ny towels fell off the hanging apparatus and accidentally moved a glass bowl which had our limited toiletries provided to us by the hotel onto the floor and infortunately it broke. the bowl was probably worth about 30 baht but the hotel charged me 350 baht for it. crazy! we also saw a cockroach in another person'a room - twice - and we were refused an hour extra foe checkout due to our flight being later in the day. the shower was terrible. it was positioned at the wrong end of the tub so it was hard to get under the rain style shower head without standing on an angle. lastly, if you are not on the 1rst or 3rd floors, the internet was non-existant since there weren't routers on every floor. overall we were very disappointed in our stay and we stayed for 6 days.
the location was good, it is right across from the beach. the pool was small but nice for diping your feet in and having a drink or two.
the stairs -- no lift ..maybe some scales to weigh baggage
opposite the beach
Really worst service I have ever experienced in Thailand. With electricity, lift and water break down for 3 consecutive days, the manager replied my complaint without sorry, but said I should not expect more for a small hotel, and indicate this is "Thai style", which I don't agree as I have been stayed for quite a few hotels in Bangkok and phuket. Staff not really friendly, don't expect any service here.
Seaview apartment located the sothern part of the beach, quite nearby to all places u needed, room is clean, safe doesn't work, wifi is very weak in the room.
The only thing that makes it only 4.5 star boutique hotel is the lack of a lift on the other wing. Had to climb 4 flights of stairs to get to the room.
Location may be at the end of patong beach but it is excellent for people who prefer the quieter lifestyle. The view from the top floor is beautiful. Breakfast is top too. Clean and theme is modern. Highly recommended.
Thought we'd booked one bedroom with two double beds to accommodate our family needs. The room we had included two quite uncomfortable fold out beds for the kids.
One of the best locations in Patong if you want to be a little further away from the chaos (still within easy walking distance to everything) and the room was a highlight, but best suited for a couple instead of a family.
We stayed at the 4th floor. There is no lift so you have to climb the staircase. The blinds were very noisy at night. It kept hitting on the windowsill.
The location was really perfect. It's located at Patong beach but the quieter side. The busy area is just 5min walk away from the hotel. The view didn't disappoint us at all. We kept the blinds and windows open every time we were in the hotel. Worth every penny. Very easy to get food as it was located at patong
Poor wi-fi, deco finished cheaply. I would not pay the full price, look for deals and it still will feel like just ok.
Location was very good, friendly staff and a small swimming pool to relax. Very good breakfast :))
Bed was a rock very hard didnt get a good night sleep but thats what ur going to get for a cheaper hotel .
Location wasnt far away from main street
Even though we knew in advance there was no lift and were prepared for that. The steps were a hassle. Unless your relatively fit you won't enjoy the climb.
It's actually hard to review this hotel because even though we enjoyed our stay here and only had minor complaints, I can't recommend staying here with any enthusiasm. The location is good as it's close to Patong's night life yet far enough away to be relatively quiet. Other reviews make note of the fact the hotel does not have an elevator and this didn't deter us from booking at first, but it's 85+ steps up to the 5th floor. So unless your relatively fit you should seriously consider whether this hotel is appropriate for you? The Ocean front double room we booked was not available upon arrival and we were given a triple ocean front room that was on the 5th floor for the first two nights of our stay. The triple room was fabulous (despite the 85 + stairs) and the view was fantastic. We loved the room and asked if we could stay there for the duration of our stay. We couldn't and after our second night we were moved to our double ocean front room on the 3rd floor. This was an entirely different room to the triple. Much smaller room, there were missing slats in the vertical blinds which meant we had privacy issues at night. No curtain around the shower/bath meant water went everywhere when you had a shower. We had no hot water at all one night, and there were no spare power points in the main bedroom area. We had to unplug the fridge to use the power point. All minor things, but still a bit annoying. Our room was nice and clean and the staff do a nice job of tidying the room daily. We found the staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast selection was basic but enough to start you off for the day. We enjoyed our stay but would be reluctant to recommend the place to others as I think there are better options in Patong for around the same money.
no lift, rooms were very small. lots of stairs. tried charging us for other peoples bills us being british and other people being Chinese, hardly an easy mistake !!
the view, bed was comfy for Thailand.
